The pizza was pretty dry. I could tell by the reviews that I would need to pay for extra sauce which I did, but literally not a drop of sauce on it I don't think. Definitely not any extra. When I arrived I asked specifically was there extra sauce because I was charged for it and he said yes. When I got home I was really disappointed. Also, Oddly I was asked to pay for my pizza over the phone before arriving to pick it up. So it sucks that it wasn't made with what I paid for in advance. Hawaiian pizza with regular crust is on point. The crust actually has some spices which is different than other crusts and a welcomed flavor for my taste buds. The buffalo wings were soggy but had a good flavor. It doesn't taste fresh like the pizza. I even tried throwing it into the oven for a few minutes but it still didn't crisp up enough. I called to verify, and the owner confirmed that they have halal chicken and meatball they prepare in house. I absolutely love this pizzeria, because the owners here exemplify what it means to have pride in their business. Every time I've gone in for takeout, I've always been met with a smile and polite conversation, and they're always very attentive to making sure everything is correct about your oder. I've also had multiple offers to hold the door for me as I left with my hands full of pizza, which adds that little touch of caring that is absent almost everywhere else, and I've had the owner tell me he's willing to keep the door open after hours if someone hasn't picked up their order yet. As for the pizza itself, it's delicious. We are not exactly starved for pizza places in this area, so it might be cheaper to go MOD if you're eating alone, but if you want to feed a few people and you want something good and fresh? I've tried halal pizza in Houston before but this has got to be one of the best one's. You have to ask them for halal beef or chicken, but the chicken they can make however you want. Beef was okay, chicken was GOOD! I got a large pizza with half buffalo chicken and half meatballs. It was very fresh, you can tell that they use all of their own ingredients. The pizza was a bit expensive ($18 for a large) but that's probably because I got one pizza with two specialty toppings. I drive by this place often and I've seen their sign for a $6.99 large cheese pizza special on Tuesdays so I thought I'd give it a try. I called and ordered my pizza and was told that it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes later and was told that my pizza wasn't ready yet because they had another order and that it would take another 5 minutes. I'm not sure if they only can make one pizza at a time (that seems inefficient), but whatever. I took at seat on the bench inside and waited for ANOTHER 20 MINUTES. Let me recap: my pizza was given to be TWENTY-FIVE MINUTES after promised. The people working these were polite but completely unapologetic about the delay. Why couldn't they have given me a more honest projection of how long it would take? It's not like it was busy and unpredictable this Tuesday lunchtime in the quiet suburbs... The pizza itself was so-so. The sauce was very good and the crust was well seasoned, but it was very tough and difficult to chew. The cheese was also burnt. Cheese should be gooey and melted, not black. So, in conclusion: less than mediocre pizza with bad service. I won't be returning as a customer. read more

So overall pizza is fair. Honestly maybe equivalent to Papa John's. A little pricey for what you get. Also the pricing It's kind of all over the place and different for online ordering versus pick up. I'm not talking about the fees associated with DoorDash. For pick up you can order a stuffed crust on any of the gourmet pizzas. Through door dash however you are forced to "build your own" if you want stuffed crust. The toppings get pretty pricey and before you know it I had two medium pizzas costing me almost $60 for just ok pizza. Crust was very tough and hard to chew. We've ordered from Home Base plenty of times but last night, I'm very sad to say was not up to their usual quality and taste. We ordered cheesy bread, grand slam, the chicken spinach pizza, and boneless chicken bites. It was the oddest thing but the grand slam and cheesy bread tasted like nothing...I'm not kidding. We'd be taking bites and it tasted like nothing. Again, I want to say that I've had Home Base pizza multiple times and it is amazing, but last night was not. The only thing that had any taste to it was the chicken bites. They were appetizing. Even the chicken spinach garlic pizza was lacking of flavor. Unfortunately I think we will have to throw everything out but the chicken bites. Very big waste of food and money, but it just wont get eaten. I know all restaurants are suffering with Covid going on, so I hope this is just because of that. I mean, ordering a small (personal) pizza and paying $11 (after taxes) is a bit much for pizza when you think about it. There are a few other local spots I like as well and it's cheaper by the slice (which would be about the same amount of pizza as a personal pan from here).
