Burnt rubber chicken

Just ordered a pizza and wing special from them. My pizza was slightly better than Little Ceasars and on my wife's Margherita pizza... they use dried herbs (tasted like oregano to me) instead of basil... best of all... the wings smelled and tasted of burnt rubber or plastic. (The fun part) I used the app to let them know about the wings, and this was the reply.... "Hi, I'm back. Thank you for your patience. I just got off the phone with the store and unfortunately, they did not provide me with any sort of discounts or credits regarding your order, and without having their authorization i am not able to issue something either. Please accept my sincere apologies for the situation created." I'd have to say. Don't waste your money crap food and a crap experience."

I had to get food last minute and saw this menu in my stash, so I decided to give them a try. I called 3 times with no answer! I ordered through the website and when I arrived to pick it up I was surprised it was located inside a gas station. The parking lot was completely empty and no customers were inside. The girl at the counter had ear buds in both ears and could care less about any of the customers either calling or walking in. The food was just as bad as the service. I ordered chicken Parmesan and chicken Alfredo and you could taste the staleness of the pasta. It wasn't made to order it had been sitting out for a long time. Also ordered tiramisu and it was also disappointing. Won't be back!

Back of coupon. No expiration either.

I made a yelp account JUST to make this review, called in with this coupon for 8.99 one topping large pizza. Was told on the phone i was wrong and it's 9.99 even though I'm holding it in my hand, so we decided to drive up there to show them the coupon. When my wife went in And showed her the coupon she was immediately told no by the blonde woman with braces and that the coupon was "too old" and was talked down to like a child. If it's "too old" WHY isn't there an expiration? I would honestly pay the dollar if it was my mistake and had a expiration but it honestly just annoyed the hell out of me that there's zero specification at all on the damn thing. Don't bother with this place unless you have a coupon. Brothers pizza is 100x better and barely more money

super dry blandness. Didn't cut the slices, supposed to be 12 servings, this is 7 strips plus the part underneath that's stacked
Jennifer J.

Food arrived cold, 45 minutes later than the estimate said, and the driver forgot part of the order. The cheesy bread is straight up gross, dried cheese on a bare crust, and they couldn't fit it in the pizza box so I'm not even kidding, they cut off the end and stacked it on top of itself rather than grab a 2nd box. The unstacked pieces weren't cut either - supposed to be 12 servings and it was cut into 7 (what?). We got a couple pizzas too and every person tossed the pizza crusts in the trash bc somehow our pizzas were both burnt and cold.

Pepperoni and chicken pizza.

Very good pizza. Specially the Margherita and spinach and garlic! I order one of this twice a month.

You order first and then sit down with your table number and food will be served. The ambiance is quiet and pretty homey. It's surprisingly affordable, and you get quality food. Staff is nice too. I recommend and I would come back.

We ordered at a kiosk, which is a big annoying to me-it takes forever to figure out how the menu works..but there was a long line to order from the one person taking orders (others have the same feeling as I do!) but we did it. I ordered a two by 2: a half turkey avocado and cup of tomato bisque. My husband got a Pick 3: a half French dip, lobster and crab bisque, and pimiento Mac and cheese. We munched on breadsticks while we waited for our meal. Since we ordered from the kiosk we were t given any cups for drinks. After a while, however, we went back to get some from the counter as it became clear that no one was bringing any. Our food was quite good. I loved my sandwich. Newk's bread is so delicious! The soup was equally good. My husband liked everything as well, but didn't love his soup. He said the pieces of ?crab? Or lobster? We're very chewy and not the best. Overall, though, we had a really good lunch.

It was okay. Not quite Chicago. Big, open clean space…read more While we were there, it seemed more pick up orders than eat in. Food itself was as okay. Again, just not what I've had in IL.

Whenever venturing around our vast country, I like to frequent businesses that are not found where…read moreI live; naturally, I saw Portillo's (a native business from Chicago) and knew I had to try 'em out! First off, the outside as well as inside of the establishment is beautiful! When you walk in, the restaurant is beautifully decorated; it's a cross between a fast-food establishment and a restaurant dining-style. I believe another Yelper also mentioned that fact as well. One can order in two options: using the self-kiosk, or going to the counter where there is someone there to take your order. Having both options available is rather convenient. For my food, I got the Famous Meal #1: Italian Beef Sandwich. However, I came prepared: it was going to be personalized to be the perfect meal. FIRST: make it big ($2), then add sweet and hot peppers ($1.98), mozz cheese ($.89), and ordered slightly wet. For my sides, I opted for the large onion rings ($4.99), and in addition --- this is A LOT -- I got the famous Chocolate Cake Shake (additional $6.19). If you were going to get a normal meal, it would probably cost you about $14.57. Mine -- with all the add-ons? $26.88. Take that into consideration. How was the food? Portillo's is definitely the experience many Chicagoans have heaped about. The "dipped" Italian Beef Sandwich was generously portioned, and if I had anything to comment-on --- it would be adding more sweet + hot peppers to the sandwich. Besides that, everything else was spot-on. On to that famous milk-shake: if you're a first-timer DO IT. How does it taste? It honestly tastes like a "real" version of a frosty from Wendy's --- taste wise. At least we know what's in this milkshake: Ice Cream, Milk, and a slice of chocolate cake. It was thick, creamy, and hit the spot. All-in-all, I totally recommend Portillo's if there is a location near you! It's definitely an American institution and is worthy of the hype.

Comforting, rich, and full of flavor without being heavy. The banh mi had that perfect crispness, and the wonton soup had that authentic taste I've been missing. They might have hot tea and green tea but I am just guessing! Call before you go if you are looking for a specific type of drink. The inside was clean. Nice decor. Awesome painting in the middle of the big wall congratulating them on 3 or 4 years of business. And they have cool electronics to look at BUT NOT TOUCH! They are display only. Pretty cool. I'm guessing rare and expensive Nintendo systems from Asia. Very cool. And authentic games still in plastic cases (similar to Blockbuster but not blockbuster). Very pungent food aromas. Like garlic and vinegar. My mom really likes their Vietnamese sandwiches.

"Fine in a Pinch, Forgettable Overall!" 08-05-2025…read more I stopped in here during my lunch break during PD (Professional Development) week, my first week back at the high school where I work. The place was packed. Space was tight, with barely any elbow room between customers standing and seated, and the line to order was long. While waiting, I scanned the menu for a salad I'd enjoy, but honestly, their salad options were pretty limited and not very appealing. I ended up going with the Southwest Cobb Salad. It was... okay. Edible enough to satisfy my hunger, but definitely nothing memorable. I don't always use dressing, but I tried theirs and it was decent, tasty enough, though I can't even remember which one it was. That kind of sums up the salad: forgettable. The atmosphere during the lunch rush (11 AM-12 PM) was loud, busy, and a little overwhelming. Maybe it calms down later in the afternoon, but being in a packed shopping center right off Highway 290, traffic and parking are already hectic. Honestly, even walking to and from your car feels a little risky with how heavy the traffic flow is. Food Notes: Southwest Cobb Salad - 3/5: Mediocre at best. The black "crispy" tortilla strips weren't crunchy at all, actually stale. Big disappointment. I've had much better salads elsewhere. If you're in the area and absolutely can't find another deli or salad spot, this place is fine in a pinch. You won't hate it, but you probably won't love it either. Given the number of surrounding restaurants that offer more variety (and better flavor), I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this one. Final rating: 3/5 stars. Very middle of the road. Visit at your own risk.
