As a California transplant, I was genuinely excited to see Mountain Mike's Pizza open a location here in Cedar Park. I've been a longtime fan of Mountain Mike's for years, and I'm happy to say this location absolutely delivers. The pizza is exactly what I remembered--quality ingredients, flavorful sauce, fresh dough, and generous toppings that actually cover the pizza. Every bite tastes like it was made with care rather than mass-produced. If you're used to the typical chain pizza experience where the crust and ingredients feel factory-made, Mountain Mike's is a refreshing change. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and has a great atmosphere. On a hot Texas day, it was cool, inviting, and a great place to relax. The beer selection is a nice bonus, and the draft beer was served ice cold. What really stood out during my visit was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. It's clear they take pride in creating a great customer experience, and that level of service made an already enjoyable meal even better. One thing to know: this isn't bargain pizza, and it isn't trying to be. You're paying for higher-quality ingredients and a better overall experience, and in my opinion, it's worth it. If I were a different person I probably would like Mountain Mike's more. I feel they put a lot of effort into trying to differentiate themselves from the rest of the pizza giants, but for me, personally? This is just the next pizza chain I also won't order from. This was my first experience and I ordered delivery. I hopped in the shower right after placing my order and when I got back to my phone, I had several calls from the shop. They'd run out of apple pizza, which I only added to pad my subtotal because they have a $30 delivery requirement. They told me they'd already thrown something in the oven after I'd requested a refund, but they told me I'd get my money back and the replacement dessert, which ended up being their cinnamon dessert pizza. My rating is not low because of this experience - it happens and regardless they more than solved my problem. My issue is the food itself. I'll say that their marketing is fantastic, because I've been dying to try this place for so long as their ads make their pizza look phenomenal. I was so excited about a new pizza place for the first time in so long and was ultimately let down by a too-thick crust that's chewy, too much flavorless cheese, pepperoni that wasn't crispy, hardly any sauce, and some sort of sweet garlicky coat they wash the bottom with. I favor a saucier, thinner crust with less cheese but of higher quality. And instead of a bottom wash, I prefer breadstick seasoning or something on the crust or across the top. I know some people will love this pizza, but it just isn't for me. The cinnamon sugar dessert pizza was pretty good, it's warm and sweet. I also got their hot honey boneless wings and that sauce wasn't to my preference either. Not spicy at all and I found myself wishing I tried their buffalo instead. I will say that their service was so quick, attentive, and helpful, and I'm sure you might love this place! But all things considered, I'll be going elsewhere. read more

8.7.24 Very clean! Never been here before. Great choice!! I stopped in for lunch and they have a buffet from 11-2pm during the weekdays. Pizza, salad, drink and dessert pizza for $12.99. The salad bar was clean and tidy. Needed more lettuce when I was there. The cashier was very helpful. I cannot eat red sauce pizza but I can have Alfredo so she had them make a Alfredo pizza with ham, pineapple and white onions. It was great! So much cheese. I wish there was a location closer to me. The pizza was very tasty and I will definitely be eating their food again. I ordered a build your own though. It was delicious but I didn't realize how quickly all those delicious ingredients added up! The large pizza was over $38!! Ordered a large veggie and cheese pizza for pickup and the ticket was $60-$70....for two pizzas. I pay for good food so the price didn't bother me. It is my daughter birthday today and she wanted pizza. Well I ordered a pepperoni and a cheese pizza got some free cheese sticks and some garlic knots. I told you guys it was her birthday in the notes and when I picked up the pizzas I was so surprised and my daughter was so excited that y'all gave her a cookie cake for free. first of all I would like to state the level of incompetence your workers operate at. Your restaurant is severely over staffed and had people doing nothing, and being lazy. There was a worker at the register filling up a water cup with m&ms and hid it under the counter, I over heard the name of the worker(nick). secondly I would like to comment on the food. I would much rather eat the dirt off my shoe than eat this pizza. it taste like cardboard and the cinnamon dessert pizza was extremely stale. the workers were very lazy and constantly need multiple people to work on simple tasks. (we asked to get more napkins and saw him take napkins from another table). Overall the experience was not a good one and the price definitely did not meet the quality of pizza. will not be coming back read more

Big disappointment. Pizza was very average (or even below average). Buffet was WAY overpriced ($15 for one person???) and just not worth the money in any way. The buffet selection is teeny tiny and the slices there are even smaller than that. They cut a 12 inch pizza into 16 slices? This just to encourage everyone to just get what amounts to a half a slice of normal pizza at a time. The tiny buffet runs out of pizza constantly. If you have to go to this place, do NOT do the buffet. You are better off just ordering a whole pie. But even that is nothing special. Also, they are beyond tip crazy for a place that doesn't even serve. Got the tip screen on checking out and then got ANOTHER tip request when they asked me to sign the receipt. None of the pizza we tried had much flavor, the pepperoni pizza was so overdone the pepperonis were crunchy and all of the pizza varities were very salty. We were excited to try this place but felt that we just wasted $12.99. Pizza is very low quality even for a buffet. Also salad bar doesn't have any lettuce, just spinach leaves and a spring mix, for us not having lettuce just ruins the salad. We definitely will not be going back. read more

Had the buffet on Monday. Salad bar was simple but had all I was looking for. No doubt it was all fresh. The pepperoni pizza on the buffet was very good. It had a lot of pepperoni coverage. The veggie pizza and Canadian bacon didn't have anywhere near the topping that the pepperoni did. I'll order a whole pie next time to see if the buffet is a dressed down version. I love buffets for the variety which makes up for me not eating very much. Will try again with the hope that the buffet is more in line with what I'm looking for. I am only giving them 2 stars because the staff was super nice and the restaurant was clean. However the pizza was not good. My husband and I had the buffet and I have never seen my husband not finsh his plate. He tries several flavors and they just were not good. He even commented that CiCi's was better. I had gone before with my friends and told him I would not go back but he really wanted to try it and then said he wunderstand why I said that.
