The reason for the 4 stars is the pizza itself. Im very accustomed to new york style pizza and i have my favorite spots. This pizza from mountain mikes is a bit hearty and thick, the dough is bready and not crispy or chewy more like a thick burger bun for a bite. The cheese and sauce ratio is great! The pepperonis were delicious. Nice and crispy Im sure this is just the way Mountain Mikes does it but its not really my kind of pie at the end of the day. Also a large pizza starts at 26$+ ... You know how they say you get what you pay for?? I got better service during elite week visit, verses purchasing out of pockets this most current time. Giving the most recent visit. My pizza was -1 not cut throughly which resulted in (-1) ripped slices and (-1) we had 12 slices verses 14. (-1) missing place holder (tiny white table for center pizza) When I reported it the assistant manager act as if theirs was no issue. Asking if I checked EVERY SINGLE slice. While she "looking at the pizza" Girl No. Who would touch ALL OVER the pizza and a quarter of it belongs to me. Then she tells me I could get a plastic knife and cut it myself. She also told me 90% of customers won't report this issue. Girl when did you take a poll??? And how often does this issue occur? All the energy she was putting into placing blame should have went to finding a solution. Furthermore I requested a it to be cut first. Then a credit next. Since they were already closed and place everything away. And this order was for TOGO. but I checked it while I was there. A $24 large pizza should be flawless. Now the taste is better than my go to Papa John's. I love the texture of the cheese the crispness of the pepperonis. But this service tonight was not it. Finally she told the guy to cut it again. He return with the cutter no gloves long hair hanging inches from my pizza. She calls him to the back , he return with gloves. While cutting it his hair was hanging over my pizza. If I were a different person I probably would like Mountain Mike's more. I feel they put a lot of effort into trying to differentiate themselves from the rest of the pizza giants, but for me, personally? This is just the next pizza chain I also won't order from. This was my first experience and I ordered delivery. I hopped in the shower right after placing my order and when I got back to my phone, I had several calls from the shop. They'd run out of apple pizza, which I only added to pad my subtotal because they have a $30 delivery requirement. They told me they'd already thrown something in the oven after I'd requested a refund, but they told me I'd get my money back and the replacement dessert, which ended up being their cinnamon dessert pizza. My rating is not low because of this experience - it happens and regardless they more than solved my problem. My issue is the food itself. I'll say that their marketing is fantastic, because I've been dying to try this place for so long as their ads make their pizza look phenomenal. I was so excited about a new pizza place for the first time in so long and was ultimately let down by a too-thick crust that's chewy, too much flavorless cheese, pepperoni that wasn't crispy, hardly any sauce, and some sort of sweet garlicky coat they wash the bottom with. I favor a saucier, thinner crust with less cheese but of higher quality. And instead of a bottom wash, I prefer breadstick seasoning or something on the crust or across the top. I know some people will love this pizza, but it just isn't for me. The cinnamon sugar dessert pizza was pretty good, it's warm and sweet. I also got their hot honey boneless wings and that sauce wasn't to my preference either. Not spicy at all and I found myself wishing I tried their buffalo instead. The salad bar was clean and tidy. Needed more lettuce when I was there. The cashier was very helpful. I cannot eat red sauce pizza but I can have Alfredo so she had them make a Alfredo pizza with ham, pineapple and white onions. It was great! So much cheese. I wish there was a location closer to me. Ordered a large veggie and cheese pizza for pickup and the ticket was $60-$70....for two pizzas. I pay for good food so the price didn't bother me. first of all I would like to state the level of incompetence your workers operate at. Your restaurant is severely over staffed and had people doing nothing, and being lazy. There was a worker at the register filling up a water cup with m&ms and hid it under the counter, I over heard the name of the worker(nick). secondly I would like to comment on the food. I would much rather eat the dirt off my shoe than eat this pizza. it taste like cardboard and the cinnamon dessert pizza was extremely stale. the workers were very lazy and constantly need multiple people to work on simple tasks. (we asked to get more napkins and saw him take napkins from another table). Big disappointment. Pizza was very average (or even below average). Buffet was WAY overpriced ($15 for one person???) and just not worth the money in any way. The buffet selection is teeny tiny and the slices there are even smaller than that. They cut a 12 inch pizza into 16 slices? This just to encourage everyone to just get what amounts to a half a slice of normal pizza at a time. The tiny buffet runs out of pizza constantly. If you have to go to this place, do NOT do the buffet. You are better off just ordering a whole pie. But even that is nothing special. None of the pizza we tried had much flavor, the pepperoni pizza was so overdone the pepperonis were crunchy and all of the pizza varities were very salty. We were excited to try this place but felt that we just wasted $12.99. Pizza is very low quality even for a buffet. Also salad bar doesn't have any lettuce, just spinach leaves and a spring mix, for us not having lettuce just ruins the salad. We definitely will not be going back. read more
