We got the Bianco pizza with added chicken and basil, and a 16" pie was more than enough to feed our group (two adults and a teen) with leftovers to spare. The pizza was absolutely delicious and a total crowd-pleaser.I also love that it's family-owned and local and gives warm, good vibes. Bonus points: when I walked in, the owners' kids were playing Måneskin (and Damiano David), which made my day! All three of us were thoroughly satisfied. The 16" pie, plus two slices of yummy cheesecake, came to about $42 before tip. It's a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it for the quality and portion size.

It's takeout or delivery only, so you cannot eat here as I was hoping to do. I am a huge fan of wood-fired pizzas ever since I tried the first one back in college in Colorado. That restaurant was dine in and so delicious. Unfortunately, this one doesn't quite live up to the hype of a wood-fired pizza for me. I tried the fully loaded pizza (similar to a supreme) and a pineapple pizza and found the prices to be a little high. I know they supposedly use premium ingredients, but don't most independent pizza places also use premium ingredients? The pizza maker was VERY heavy handed with the olives, as it worked out to about 10 total olives on each slice. Unfortunately, I don't eat olives and I was busy picking olives off every slice. I also tried to pineapple just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind and I really didn't think that pizza was all that great either. Nothing like I remember a wood-fired pizza to taste in my college years. Needless to say, I likely won't be returning.

Tony's New York Pizza II is a solid neighborhood pizza spot that met my expectations overall. The…read morecheese pizza actually tasted like something you'd find in New York, which I appreciated. Now full transparency, my husband is a New Yorker, and by his standards it was average for NY pizza. But judging by my Houston palate I thought it was good. The calzone was my favorite. Adding the optional ricotta made all the difference. It took it from a 4 to a 7. The only downside was the pepperoni. I could literally count the slices and wished there were more. That said, the bread texture was wonderful, and that same great texture carried over to the garlic knots, which I really enjoyed. I think trying meatball, or a supreme (heavier on the meat) version would be fantastic. When I go back I'll that and be sure to update. We also tried the chicken parm sub. It was okay, though my husband thought it was subpar. Personally, I think the tomato sauce did a lot of the heavy lifting flavor-wise. Surprisingly, I really liked the cannoli filling, which says a lot because I usually don't care for cannolis. They often don't taste like much to me, but this one did. The inside of the place is very quaint and mom-and-pop, which I loved. Service was great. I ordered to go, was told 20-25 minutes, and the food was ready in about half that time. All in all, this is a solid pizza place for locals, and I'd absolutely come back to try more items on the menu. I want to try the original place and see if it's better. I mean, it should taste the same right? (Will update when I find this out).

The pizza is hand tossed and made to order, however they do have a "buffet" which allows you to choose premade items that they reheat in the oven. Their pizzas are savory, greasy, and tasty! My 1 and only complaint is that although it is a hole in the wall, it shouldn't mean "unkept." This place really needs a good deep cleaning and update on appliances such as the drink machine. The walls and door entries are dusty with visible spider webs, the drink machine is faulty and water leaks when trying to dispense soda. It just needs to be replaced and fully upgraded. I really love this place however cleanliness is a non-negotiable.

I got the feeling it was a train wreck and left. Eating out shouldn't be that hard.... My second try was a few days ago. Again, I got the feeling that they were still short handed with maybe 2 employees there and they weren't busy looking at the dining room. The counter service to take my order was again slow. I ordered a cheesesteak. The register rang it up for one dollar more than the menu board listed. I asked and was told that the menu board needed to be updated. No kidding! I added a 20 oz. Coke for $3. With the $18 cheesesteak and tax the bill came to over $22. If I had added an order of fries my total bill with tax would have been almost $30. That's way too much for Houston. NYC maybe but not here. The sandwich came out in less than 10 minutes and it was cut in 2 halves. The good part was that the meat and melted cheese made for a good tasting cheesesteak. Nice and thick and gooey. The bad was that the meat and cheese were warm and not hot. It was light by several degrees. They have several pizzas on display to be purchased by the slice. When you pick your slice they take the slice back in the kitchen to reheat it. Who wants that? Also both their menu board and printed menu have a section about build your own pizzas with a black background. The prices are written in dark red and are almost unreadable in the black background. Very poorly designed menu. Also their build your own pizzas are very expensive on the order of about $25 for a 3 topping 12" pie. Yes I said 12". The restaurant is disorganized with staff and prices. Also it is expensive to eat here. I see no reason to return. P.S. Hello Brian, I wish your restaurant the best going forward. Yes, I understand about the reheating of pizza slices in NYC but in Houston I'm not sure that locals like it that way. I notice that other Yelp reviewers' feel the same way. My cheesesteak was good tasting as I described but it should have been hotter. I understand food costs are high but in Houston spending almost $30 for a sandwich, fries and soft drink w/tax is expensive. Perhaps offer a combo price? Also, that part of the menu board in black is almost impossible to read what is written in red. On the printed menu it is worse. I agree that the specialty pizzas are reasonable priced but the build your owns can get expensive.
