1 lb. Headless Shrimp 2-Item Seafood Boil Combo
    Lovely L.

We walked in about 4:30pm on a sunday evening. There was no wait time and we was seated immediately. The waitress was very pleasant but she took kind of long to attend to us . We didn't mind since It's Sunday . She ordered ordered the mah thai, & I Long Island ice tea ( cocktails were 5 dollars for happy hour!) the drinks were very good . I could definitely one back for that . The food took kind of long to come out but when it did it was fresh and good . The sauce wasn't as good as I hoped since I I like a chunky sauce and this place sauce was very watery and not really spicy like I like but it was still decent . I like that they use fresh chicken cutlet for the chicken fingers as well . Overall I would come back for the drinks and apps but probably skip on the boil because the sauce is very important to me. It's definitely a choice to check out for quick eats If you're in the area .

From the location, food, and service everything turned out great. Garlic butter sauce selected with seafood boil was delicious. Thankful they treated our large party with excellent attention. Just be-careful with the zombie drink, might creep up on you lol

I was in White Plains looking for a place to grab a quick drink and we decided to go into Holy Crab. We ordered the Sangria and the fried shrimp basket with cajun fries. The Sangria wasn't bad, it wasn't too sweet and it actually had a nice mellow taste. Since this is a seafood restaurant I was expecting the shrimp to be fresh but it taste like it was frozen and it probably was frozen. It reminded me of the shrimp that you get at Popeyes. The fries were suppose to be cajun but it lacked flavor. It taste like fries cooked well done. I know this place is known for their seafood boils but I didn't get a chance to order any of them - maybe next time. Overall the place is not bad, its in a nice area with metered parking on the street. I would come back again and hopefully in time to catch their happy hour.

Holy Crab is a spacious, casual restaurant to eat delicious fresh seafood! The service was great, the facilities was clean and we loved the lobster and Alaskan crab legs! K and I went with 3 friends to lunch at Holy Crab. We were greeted by the friendly hosted, seated by the waitress, Alice. Alice was so friendly throughout our visit! She made sure we had enough drinks, napkins, changed the gloves, and checked in to see how we were doing multiple times! We ordered the following. Lobster pasta- this was satisfying and very picturesque! A whole lobster, split in half with cheesy creamy pasta. It was good. Lobster mac and cheese- this was filling and so cheesy! I liked the mac and cheese, but it didn't have much lobster inside this dish. Lobster bisque- this had chunks of lobster and cream. It was a little too salty for us though. Baked oysters- this was delicious! Plump oysters with cajun seasoning and some cheese. I really enjoyed this dish. Fried oysters with cajun fries- the oyster was plump but the breading was so big that it made the fried oyster look like a fried fish! Mainly you get 2 oysters that are very breaded over a bed of cajun crispy fries. The fries were very crunchy and hit the spot! Combo boils of Snow Crab legs with clams and mussels- We opted for Holy Crab Special sauce. The snow crab were large and succulent. The clams were juicy. Some of the mussels were a little sandy. Combo boil of Lobster with shrimp with Holy Crab sauce and mild spicy- The lobsters was so succulent and juicy. My favorite was the shrimp with the heads on. The juicy heads were so savory and delicious! The mild spice was very good with the savory rich shrimp and lobster! Combo boil of Alaskan King crab legs with garlic butter sauce and medium spicy- this was amazing and one of the best dishes! The sauce really brought out the oceanic flavor of the King crab legs. It was so flavorful, rich, spicy and so good! If I were in the area, I would order the combo of King Crab legs with shrimps and make it medium spicy. I'm drooling just thinking about it. Thank you Holy Crab for the great food and excellent service!

First time here on a Sunday evening and I am very satisfied with my meal and experience. When entering it was open and inviting. The tables and floors were clean and it smelled delicious. I ordered clam chowder and a boil combo with snow crabs and shrimp (head off $1 up charge). The sauce I had was garlic and spicy, it was a bit salty and very saucy but I still recommend it. There was a group of 3 of us and we were all happy with our food. We did notice that the tip was included on our bill and we didn't have a large party. So check your bill when you're ready to pay. Update: To be honest shortly after leaving the restaurant and leaving my review today, my stomach started to feel upset on my drive home. I've noticed previous posts had the same issue. As a result I have to reduce my rating from 4 stars. Not certain I will give the benefit of the doubt and not sure if I'll return. But if I do, I will update this rating.

My mom and I went here on September 21, 2018 so I'm playing catch-up on my reviews. So I had the crawfish boil and my mom had the snow crab legs with 1lb of shrimp combo boil both were good. We also had the fried calamari as an appetizer, wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. The staff was really nice and attentive. Nice atmosphere for a night out maybe not a date if you the type to worry about eating with your hands. LOL Oh! Almost forgot about the drinks. I had the virgin piña colada which was delicious. I forgot the drink my mom had but she said it was really good. If you've been to Shaking Crab this is pretty much the same but I do recommend this restaurant.

I came across Holy Crab when looking for a seafood spot on Yelp. And I'm glad I did. Coming from outta town for the weekend the takeout food was really good. We had the appetizer calamari and shrimp both with the fries and it was the bomb. So good. We also had the garlic broccoli that had us saying damn this is really good. The lady that took our order was very nice and I can't wait to come back try Holy Crab again.

FIRST TIME HERE! Won't be the last. Me and my partner celebrated our anniversary. The seafood here was so fresh. I had the shrimp & mussel combo. Mussels were meaty! I also added corn. The corn was firm & not mushy, which I liked. The drinks were STONG and tasted good. I had a Zombie. My drink came in a mason glass with a handle. So cute. My waitress was quick & attentive. She was sweet. Her name was Mandy. She made a few good jokes as well. Several people came to our table to ask if we needed anything. We didn't have to wait long for anything we asked for either. They played throwback R&B music. 90's & 2000's. BONUS. We will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality!!!!

When Holy Crab popped up on my 'Hot New Business' feed a few months back, I was mentally pumped! In general, Holy is in a class by itself in Downtown White Plains, heck- probably the first in Westchester County. What The Boil does, (in the LES) is nice- and what's even better, is to see that same idea, up in these neck of the woods. Open since January (2017), Holy Crab greets you with several high stools and tables in the Bar area and an odd mix of sea life and 'modern' decor. It has a decent seafood mix- typical of most boils and continues with basic combinations: Lobster with Crawfish or Shrimp, Shrimp with Mussels, etc. and then you pick your sauce and heat level. Cool! Our server, Brenda was friendly throughout the evening and was on top of her game and looked out, when we needed towelettes or water. We wanted to start with Oysters, but our thought was clouded, when she told us, they had none (not a good move). We went ahead instead, with the (2) Fried Oysters- (good tasting, but for an appetizer, another two would've been the winning ticket) and the spicy and crispilicious, Fried Calamari- with tentacles and all. Don't worry about getting down and dirty---you get plastic gloves and a bib. My Lobster & Shrimp Boil, was considerable and cooked to perfection. Mr. Man's Lobster Mac (appetizer), was substantial to be eaten as an entree. FYI, Lobster Mac & Cheese is very good and creamy- this one has the Lobster chunks on top- not mixed in. I wanted to round out the evening with a 'Tropical' cocktail, but didn't pan out as it was really, really weak. Yes...I did ask for extra Lychee, but thought that the other liqueurs in it, were going to heightened the overall taste...and feel. No. Holy Crab though, seems like a nice briny and tasty escapade in White Plains- and wouldn't be against it, to return---I'll just skip their "Cocktails" and perhaps settle on a glass of wine.

I was ecstatic to learn there was a seafood boil restaurant in Westchester County. I couldn't wait to check it out and judge for myself. Like all lovers of seafood boils, it is all about the sauce. My friend and I arrived about 5 minutes before happy hour ended. We immediately ordered happy hour drinks and appetizers. The drinks were very strong. Too strong for my taste, but others may like that they are not watered down. I asked for a glass of juice to mix in. The bartender obliged. The appetizers were a decent amount for the price. I had the fried shrimp with cajun fries and my friend had the wings. I ordered one pound of snow crab legs with the house special sauce. The crab legs were very meaty and the sauce was shell licking good. It also came with potatoes and one small corn on the cob. This definitely satisfied my craving. The service was attentive, fast and professional. I will return again very soon.

I started with the oyster Rockefeller. I wanted charbroiled oysters so this was the closest. These were really delicious. Nice flavor. I then had the bronzino & mac n cheese. The bronzino was ok but adding a little lemon juice took it to delicious. I was torn between the tiramisu or creme brulee but went with the tiramisu. Only thing this needed was a cup of coffee. We came on a Saturday night around 8:00pm and the restaurant was packed, with diners filling every room and even the bar area. Thankfully we had reservations and were seated right away. Parking can get tight on busy nights, so we used the valet, which made things easier. We started with a table favorite, chouriço, perfect for sharing while settling in. I ordered one of my go-to Portuguese dishes, Carne à Alentejana, tender cubes of pork loin sautéed with little neck clams, wine, and fresh cilantro. It delivered exactly what I was hoping for, savory, balanced, and deeply comforting. Others at the table enjoyed the broiled Mediterranean octopus and the Chilean sea bass with caper sauce, both well prepared. Service was attentive throughout, and they even offer to take a table photo for you. Portions are generous, the dining room is spotless, and the classic crumb-scraping after the meal is a nice old-school touch. Short of heading to Newark's Portuguese enclave, this is one of the best options in the area.
