Every year I plan a theme for my tree and buy all of my ornaments, ribbons and holiday decor at Hobby Lobby. I can stand the busy and packed house. I spent an exorbitant amount in the past 3 weeks and finally returning some of the stuff that I did not use. I go straight to the refund line. Waited almost an hour and I was accused of returning the items I was trying to return again. The clerk was rude and did not want to hear what I had to say. She stated, we can look to see if you took this off the shelf. I told her do it. I did not steal anything. She refused to call a manager. The lady next to me stood up for me. One hour later the assistant manager shows up. I told her that I never returned anything since I bought all of my items. I told her to look at the video. My integrity was questioned and I was hurt, insulted and embarrassed. Worst customer service. I finally got a gift card for the amount but simple fact that the clerk was not willing to look outside the box to trouble shoot the situation is beyond unacceptable. I'm sure Michaels or another company would be more then welcome to take my money. read more

Felt super uncomfortable today. Felt super judged by the employees/ manager today. Just because I have tattoos doesn't mean I'm a bad person. Also was really upset with the fact the lady who checked me out said my item won't be on sale without even ringing them even though the sign said it was. Also to have the manager just come up to the register. Just really uncomfortable with how they treated me. I don't know if anyone else went to Hobby lobby this week , but consider yourself lucky if you didn't. That was a good choice! I was in the store and the lines were so backed up. I know far too well how lines can be, working retail for over 22 years. Apparently they were having a big sale and that is understandable, but to not open any more registers??? This was not a big sale situation per se, this is a constant issue. I am yet to go to the store and it always looks like Christmas. Lines backed up and no one helps change the situation. I always have prided myself in good customer service, and this is not it. When people complain they really don't seem to care. When I was in the store this week, the next register had two people just talking. Countless people stocking on the floor, who could easily aid in getting the lines down for a minute. JOB - I applied at the Hobby Lobby in Temecula. Good thing was that I was hired immediately. Bad thing, if you are a cashier, they train you 1 day. You are not introduced to ANY of the employees or managers. All Hobby Lobby stores are busy. As a cashier you need to know the weekly ad. The weekly ad changes every week. As a cashier you do not scan the items, the scanner is only used for gift cards. You must manually input each item. (This explains why the lines are always long). I was shocked by a manager who yelled at another cashier in front of customers. As an employee working a 8 hour shift (LOL, usually turns out to 10 hours), you must take two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch. The lunch room is ok. Trash is 90% full most of the time. The bathrooms at this Temecula Hobby Lobby is disgusting and the sad thing is the employees are expected to clean it. They do not have a service to clean the bathrooms. I worked for 1 day and did not return. As of today, I still have not received my check. Management needs to better and more responsible. They need to treat their employees with respect. I give a lot of credit to the employees that work their. It just wasn't for me. I agree Hobby Lobby is the best place to get your craft items, candles, etc. read more

A good place for your home decor or any crafts you may want to work on! This store is pretty big with a huge inventory but the worse part is there's not enough employees at the registers , every time I come here I'll be in like for 20+ minutes because it'll only be two registers on and one is only for returns, I don't mind waiting but it's very inconvenient if you have somewhere else to be. Also, the parking lot here is consistently covered in store carts ... if you don't mind your car getting hit or ran into by carts you have to park super far away, I always try to help and drag a few carts in as I'm walking in because it's ridiculous they don't have an employee that brings carts in. Overall, a good place but they have some things management should take care of. read more

Monday, around noon, my husband went to the store in search for a Cricut machine for me. After seeing an empty shelf, she found an employee who then instructed him to get in line and ask the cashier to call a manager. Cricut machines are locked up. No sign on the shelf, nothing to let him know. But whatever, he got into an extremely long line and waited patiently. Finally getting to the front he asked for a machine and pronounced it "Cry-Cut" ... he has no idea, it was a gift for me. The cashier rolled her eyes, laughed at him and said "Ummm do you mean Cricut (cricket)" ... belittling him. Okay, whatever. My husband is a very nice guy, he let it go and asked for the machine. I would have been embarrassed. The cashier called upstairs at 12:15pm to bring it down for a customer. My husband waited in that front lobby for 10 minutes and decided that was kind of crazy. So he got into the long line again and again asked the cashier for the machine. She said it would be down shortly and she can't ring it up until she has the product in front of her. HE WAITED ANOTHER TWENTY MINUTES. He had enough. He called corporate from the lobby and asked if they could put a rush on things. Within 5 minutes the manager walked downstairs WITHOUT the machine and found my husband. She did not say sorry. She did not apologize. SHE LITERALLY SAID: "Oh sorry, I was told there was a female waiting for the Cricut." and then went back upstairs to have someone bring it down to him. Offered zero remorse for the fact that my husband was ignored, why? Because he is a MALE in Hobby Lobby? Regardless if you were looking for a female or a male customer... had you walked down with the machine 30 minutes ago my husband would have seen you and flagged you down... it is a LARGE box. As he was leaving, the manager was walking out the door for lunch. Seems convenient. Nobody made a single effort to help him or even apologize for the inconvenience. He was already out of his element trying to get me a present for my birthday... and then this experience just made it 100% worse. You just lost two customers. No thank you. read more

I will not be shopping here again even though I love their merchandise. The cashier charged us $9.98 each for 3 plastic table cloths that were supposed to be $.99 each. We were also charged full price on party bowls that were supposed to be 50% off and said they were supposed to be 50% off on the receipt. We also had a charge for $14.99 that we did not buy. The cashiers type everything in, which is why there were so many mistakes instead of just scanning the items. When I called to speak to a manger he was not friendly and never apologized. Now I have to drive 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back to get my money back that I was overcharged and have to wait while they check cameras. Super annoying! I definitely recommend checking your receipts before you leave to anyone that shops here. read more

I love this place! This location is very similar to other locations, but I prefer this one over Rancho Cucamonga simply because of the fact that it's a friendlier atmosphere. If you read my other review for the Rancho Cucamonga location, Temecula is just the opposite. The employees here are very friendly and respectful. When undergoing changes, the employees are apologetic and say excuse me if they have to get in the way. Although the lines get long and really crowded, they do move at a decent pace. This place is truly fantastic... it's only September and I can already buy Halloween AND Christmas decor! The back half of the store is similar to Michael's in terms of arts and crafts, but the front half has great decor items for the house that my wife just can't stop buying... Finding our centerpiece was probably the hardest part about planning our wedding. Thankfully, we found everything that we needed to build them once we figured out what we wanted to do. Staff can sometimes be hard to find, but they're pretty friendly for the most part. My wife, of course, LOVES all of their sales and she always finds a good deal here. Every time I shop here the lines are so long!. Why can't they upgrade their computer system to reflect a sale instead of hand punching the numbers in! Many items don't have price tags so this holds up the line even more be because the cashier has to call the department to get the code. I was in Tonyas line for over 20 minutes why she attempted to get a code on doll clothing. A manger clearly see what was happening and did nothing to assist. I've been shopping at Hobby Lobby since I moved here 4 years ago from Virginia. The cashiers are always nice and friendly and I generally like the variety of product carried. My big complaint is about the continuous political message of the recall Newsom people who seem to have a permanent table set up outside the entrance to Hobby Lobby. I was there today and again that same table was there. I'm sure Hobby Lobby is following an ordinance or something, but I would rather see Girl Scouts being allowed to sell their cookies than the same 'ol recall people. It's getting old and it's annoying. I've decided I can wait til At Home opens in the old Kmart building or I'll go to the Hobby Lobby location in Moreno Valley that never has anyone soliciting people as they enter the store. I really do enjoy the product but the lack of attention to the front end and the 20 minute each visit just to checkout ruins the experience. I stopped a manager who was busy tasking near the front end and she said it is her 4th HL and all are the same. The company as a whole places no urgency to move folks through the front faster. They are visually driven and the budget is applied to those areas. I appreciated her honesty and she was very apologetic but I still left my product behind because two cashiers on a Saturday and 15 people in each line was not a good use of my time that particular day. read more

I love Hobby Lobby and have been coming for years, but that manager Dee is really rude and not professional at all. Today I was returning some extra vinyl I had from a detailing project and I was in aisle 1 and there was a lady in front of me and then one of the managers Dee starts telling everyone that aisle 2 is open for purchases and returns and to start heading over to aisle 2. I chose to stay in the aisle but this lady literally walked up to me and started guiding me to aisle 2 as if I had to go there so I just followed her and then the lady in front of me started to say that there was already a customer at aisle 2 and why did I have to move there and Dee responded aggressively saying that aisle 2 is open and that the lines need to be divided. I wasn't bothered by it, until almost 10 minutes later, the customer that was being helped on aisle 2 was still needing a lot more time and I asked Dee, why couldn't I have stayed on aisle 1? And she just looked at me with an attitude and said, please be patient they're almost done, and then the customer in from of me literally says, "No I'm sorry but this is complex and it's going to take a hot minute" she said exactly that, "hot minute" and I asked Dee if I can go back to aisle 1 and be helped and if I can go next on aisle 1 and Dee said no you will have to wait in the back of the line again with attitude and I said I was already in front of the line and you literally told me to go to aisle 2 and now there's over 6 people in line and everyone that was behind me before has already returned their things and left and Dee just spoke over me and started raising her voice and said I will have to go to the back of the line if I go back to aisle 1, but there was a kind customer that was in front of the line in aisle 1 and offered for me to go in front of her and so did like 3 other customers and they're were all saying that Dee was super rude and that she's been rude on several other occasions in the past. It's just unfortunate that she seems to have a lot of power trips and doesn't seem to provide good customer service much or if at all and she's one of the managers and should be leading by example. Normally I don't have an issue with the company Hobby Lobby, as a whole. I also understand I picked an extremely busy time to shop. I went because Christmas items were 60% off. This was, however, my first shopping trip out alone in the store, since having my knee replacement surgery. By the time I reached the register, the line was massive, and my knee was in incredible pain. After standing in line for about 30 minutes, I wanted to cry. That's when next to me, lane 7 opened up next to me, and since I was next in the line I was currently in, I asked the cashier at lane 7 if I could go there. She said yes. As soon as I moved over, the female manager, who's name tag was turned over so I couldn't see her name, told me I couldn't be there because she was putting returns over. I explained I was in pain, the cashier told her as well, and her response was a shoulder shrug and said we'll I'm using it for returns. At this point my place in the other line was gone. Luckily for me the lady who'd been in line behind me said I could get back in. The manager was cold, rude and could've cared less. I thought this was a Christian business? It's huge, clean, and has very wide isles. It's the antithesis of Michaels. Everything is either outrageously priced or half off.. Prices rotate all the time. Indeed, there are a few interesting things here, perhaps a tin sign or two to put in your man cave. Maybe some nautical décor for the bathroom? Hmm..perhaps not. In summation, it's worth the drive to Temecula to check this place out. I think it's better than Michaels. Very disappointed in Hobby Lobby . I went to Hobby Lobby in Temecula today, needed to get some ribbon and stocking stuffer. I notice the store was pretty crowded which I was a little surprising under the circumstances. I also notice several people did not have on masks. I ask one of the store managers about their masks, she mention that the customers where spoken too, said they have medical conditions preventing them from wearing a mask. I said both husband and wife . . . Seems fishy to me. I asked if they have any proof, she said that that would be a HIPAA violation asking for proof. Of course I started laughing. HIPAA violation . . . At that point I said they can wear a shield or the store could simply denied them service. "No shirt, no shoes, NO MASK, no service". Nope Hobby Lobby allowed them to stay. It will be a very long time before I go back. read more

Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. I asked an associate I found in the store if the had a second of an item I wished to purchase. She told me go look over there or go upfront and ask them if we have a second. So I walked around looking for about 20 min. Finally went to the front asked a cashier if they had another of the item. She pages that department, not what I wanted. The associate walks you to the front (same lady I asked originally) the cashier asks her if they have anymore, she just says no. So she told me to go look, go ask and now the answer is no. Horrible customer service, rude employees, huge waste of time. read more
