I have ONLY good things to say about Lakeshore - especially as a parent who likes to buy good quality toys that are going to last. Lakeshore is obviously good for teachers, but it is SO GREAT for kids toys as well. I got annoyed of buying toys from Amazon that were cheap, poor quality, and didn't last. Lakeshore is definitely going to be a little more expensive than Amazon, but the quality of Lakeshore is so much better and worth it (and in my opinion, the Lakeshore price is often only $5-10 dollars more and will last much longer). They have a lot of great toys for toddlers and kids. I even have purchased some nice baby toys. I have a 2 year old right now and we visit Lakeshore every month to two months to grab a couple new toys/activities. read more

Cool school supply store! I went in for a prize for my daughter that she was given as a reward from school. It was cool to see the things they sale which are mostly for teachers but it was still nice to walk around and check the place out. The prices were a little high in things but you can always sign up with them to receive coupons and buy when things are in sale. read more

I have never heard of Lakeshore learning before..Im from AZ where I don't think we have these. I went in today after my daughter's teacher had a specific request from this store. WOW, I was amazed just walking in!! They have everything a teacher could need!! I'm not a teacher but I do have 2 school aged kids and one preschooler and the supplies for the preschooler were unbelievable. I will probably stop in here at least every 2 weeks for paint, paper, crafts.. etc. I signed up coupons via text so I will be looking forward to those too :) read more

Great place to find educational books and toys for children of all ages! Went here for the first time the Saturday before Father's Day and what a great find. They have free arts and crafts for kids every Saturday! And not just one table for kids to do these crafts, but different stations throughout the store. One station taught the kids how to make little wallets for the Dad's and gave them free reign on decorating them. So cute. Walking through the store, they have everything you can imagine you would need, educationally wise. The prices are just a tad high but who would sacrifice their Child's further education by a few measly dollars?!? Go check this place out, and bring your kid. They'd enjoy it. read more

I am an educator who goes to Lakeshore mainly for my classroom focus wall borders. The only reason why I didn't give a 5 star rating is because the prices are a little high, but they do have coupons. I believe you can also get a free planner if you have the coupon and spend over $25. My favorite things at Lakeshore are the caddies, bulletin board borders, posters, and calendar kits. I have known teachers who have tried to avoid going to Lakeshore simply because they can't resist spending so much time and money there! Great place for teaching/classroom supplies. read more

Oh how my little boys love this place! When you get tired of buying your little ones toy guns and cars, come to this place for something new and educational. My 3 year old son was interested in learning about the solar system. We went to this place and found an interactive solar system model which he loved! So many fun learning toys that you just won't find at target or toys r us. Some prices can be a little steep but there are always weekend sales and a lot of available 20% coupons, especially if you sign up for their free membership. read more

The store has just about everything you could think of. It is well organized and clean. If I could criticize one thing it would be the employee who rang up my items, she seemed to purposely try and make me feel awkward since it was my first time In there. She asked me for my teacher card, I had no clue what she was talking about. Her tone and how she seemed to demand it sent the message that you weren't allowed to shop there unless you are a teacher and had some card with you. Also it seemed like the employees had some groupies that likely hang around the store all the time and like to have conversations with the employees and make it difficult for you to get anyone to assist you. One employee was in a conversation about salad or something with a "groupie" and when I attempted to get her attention I received a couple of extremely snotty and rude glances like I had just interrupted the most important conversation ever. read more

Went in today to buy some supplies for work, I'm a gymnastics teacher for preschoolers and wanted to find more activities for my kids to do during the class. I was amazed at this stores selection of physical activities for kids, SUCH a great selection. The lady that helped me, I believe her name was Jamie, was so great! She had some great ideas for activities I could do, showed me what products they had, and got me signed up with the teachers club card so I can get discounts in the future. The only reason I didn't give this store 5 stars is because it's a little on the expensive side, but maybe they'll have coupons and deals that can help that in the future. An exceptional store for those with little ones! My toddler loves coming here - there's a small section of display activities for her to play with while my wife shops. The store is focused on educational toys, books, puzzles and teachers' supplies. Prices are a bit high, but the free membership and coupons delivered to your e-mail or text balance that out. There are free craft for kids sessions on Saturdays. The staff is courteous and helpful. There is a generous amount of parking, and Babies R Us is right next door.
