My kids have been taking classes here and now my daughter volunteers here. She bought a 2 hour pottery session with her volunteer hours (sniff tear sniff) for my birthday. We had a blast. Summer, our instructor was fantastic, welcoming, patient, and knew how to demonstrate and teach. We had a great time and I am looking forward to how my creations look once glazed and fired. Last Saturday night I was taken to a couples date night experience at Temecula Clay, Pottery and Art Studio located in Vail Headquarters, a quaint little village like area just off the Temecula Parkway. For the sum of $95 per couple, we took a deep dive into the world of pottery and free-hand clay molding for three hours. The class was led by a young lady named Summer. A truly delightful, knowledgeable, and extremely gifted artist, with a knack for passing-on her level of skill to the average person desiring to create something they will cherish for years to come. The first portion of the class involved familiarization with the tools, and procedures, followed by rules of etiquette and safety. Once that was out of the way, we donned aprons, received are two pounds of clay and were spinning our wheels as our hands massaged the clay. Upon completion of bowls, or cups, or vases, we labeled them, selected a glaze color and placed them on the shelf for firing in the kiln at a later date. The second portion of the class involved freehand work with class to create some of your choice, choose a glaze color, and leave for firing. The class was very therapeutic as well as educational due to the instructors encouragement, the mellow music in the background and serenity of the art studio on a Saturday evening. We will be contacted approximately two weeks later to retrieve our masterpieces from this extremely wonderful and alternative way to spend a date night with someone special. Highly recommend. Purchased a Date Night class thinking it'd be a fun thing to do with my girlfriend. I was expecting some set items to make and having the instructor go over basic techniques and guide us in making said items but that didn't happen. The instructor barely spoke to us and provided little to no guidance, was too busy chatting with the other date night couples about personal stuff, and extremely engrossed in making her own pottery. The first part was us "making what you want" as she made her own pottery and provided zero technique guidance. The other part was a little better in that she finally got up to help us but when my clay kept collapsing, there wasn't an explanation of why or what I was doing wrong or the offer to get more clay - she turned it into a small plate for me and that was it. My experience was over. Tickets were advertised as 2-hour classes but it's really only 1.5 as the last half hour was spent cleaning/washing up everything used while she resumed making her own pottery. If this part was advertised on the date night description, that's fine, but it wasn't and for what was paid, I expected more instruction and less janitorial work. Also took more than 3 weeks to get our pottery but this was after I did contact them for updates twice. Based off our experience, I would not recommend if you have zero experience (like we were) with pottery. read more

Took a beginners class here and it was great. The instructor was super hands on and ensures that you have a good end product. I messed up on one of my bowls and was able to turn it into a garlic grater. I also didn't feel rushed at all during this class. Highly recommend for beginners! read more

Took a fun adult beginning ceramics class at Temecula Clay. We were given 2 blocks of 2 lb clay and were able to use the potter's wheel and create our own unique pieces. Can't wait to see them glazed in a few weeks. The instructor was very knowledgeable, helpful and patient with each of us. Good class size of 8 people in a clean, organized shop. This was my 2nd time coming to Temecula Clay and it was just as fun as the first time I went. This time I took my husband and we had a great time and made some fun pieces we will surely treasure! Great place!!! I recommend! they were very welcoming and the teacher was a 10 out of 10, she helped every customer helping shape and was very hands on showing her knowledge for clay sculptures. We booked a Pottery Wheel Group for my bachelorette party and it was such a fun time. Our instructor, Elijah, is GREAT at what he does. Easy instructions, patient teacher, and makes sure that everyone is comfortable, confident, and having fun. He makes it so you can't fail. No prior knowledge of pottery required at all, and it's a judgement FREE zone-- a perfect learning environment with positive energy My friend and I took the beginner pottery class, and our instructor, SUMMER , was absolutely incredible! If you want to take your ceramic home the same day, you can use acrylic paint, if you don't mind waiting you can choose to glaze it and there is a $5 firing fee. We chose to do glaze and wait a 1-2 weeks and they texted us when it was ready. (Only took a week) In terms of inventory, they have cute Knick knack ceramics you can make or kitchenware like plates, bowls, coasters, etc. I also saw people painting canvases so you really do have a lot of options if you're looking for a fun craft day. Pro tip: do multiple layers if you're gonna do glaze. I'd recommend at least 3, but 4 or 5 if you have the time.

There are no bathrooms and you would need to walk over to use Target's. Mckenna was working the cafe when we came in. She's only one person but quite knowledgeable about the two paints offered - acrylic and glaze. Acrylic paint can be taken home same day. They apply a clear coat finishing spray and it will dry same day but may take a few hours. Anything with this paint would not be safe to eat/drink on if you get a plate/cup. Glaze will need 3 layers and would be an additional week to 2. When you paint it, it will look a bit chalkier but with the glaze, will turn shiny. There is a $5 firing fee. I believe this is okay to eat or drink after they glaze it. You could first choose which piece you want to paint, could be a cup/plate/dish or a figure. Pricing fluctuates depending on inventory. Ceramic pieces prices range from $15.99 to $50.00. They also offer canvas painting which prices range from $15.00 to $23.00. It's perfect to just paint and let your creative side come out. We enjoyed our time here painting. We also saw a few others come in either for date time or family time. One family was clever in that they had several kids, so they had each kid paint a teacup. If you don't finish or want to come back another time, you can always leave your piece with them and return to continue painting. You will need to pay though so they have your number on file to contact you (if you are getting it glazed) and also for you to resume your painting piece there. My girlfriend who was visiting, enjoyed our time here as we caught up talking and chatting while painting our shells. She had to do hers acrylic as she had to fly back to NY the next day. We ended up staying close to closing hours, so Mckenna helped do a quick spray - put it in a box for it to dry (due to the fumes) and let her take a picture of the spray to give it another layer when she went back. I did mine with glaze and got a text message it was ready a week and two days that it was ready for pick up. Very satisfied with our visit here and may come again.

Not only do they have four playgrounds that keep things exciting, but the kids also get to ride ponies, brush goats, and pet piglets! They also have some sandpits. You might find your child's clothes a bit messy at pickup, but the joy and laughter on their faces are so worth it! What's really cool is the monthly photo thing they do. I was told that by the time your kiddo graduates, you get this adorable album of all their preschool memories. My kid loves this place. Sometimes she even wants to stay longer when I pick her up early.

Be aware- THEY DO NOT HAVE WEEKEND OR AFTER HOURS CARE LIKE THEY ADVERTISE. On your tour, note the green snot dripping out of every child's nose. Caretakers do not wipe noses, sanitize hands or sanitize the toys and surfaces in the room. Hand foot and mouth, lice, and respiratory infections are running rampant at this center due to poor sanitation standards. The building has been next to a lake for over twenty years and is likely riddled with mold. However, the holiday decorations seem to be of the most importance. You will often see your child's teacher scraping paint off the windows, rather than engaging with your child. Try and see past the glitz and glamour and watch for signs of neglect. Request without notice to watch your child's potential classroom, or current room, on the video cameras available to the staff only. They charge for Christmas and New Years weeks when they are closed. They close an average two days per month and charge you for them leaving you without care for your child. Other additional charges: Late payment fee, missed punch fee, late pickup fee, staff development days (tuition collected, school closed), activity fees, "donations" that are charged to your account for their tax deductions. Teachers arrive late, do not show up at all, or are called off to condense rooms together to save on payroll. Children are often not with "their" teacher and ratios exceed the legal limits. Employee cards and parent punches are later adjusted by staff to appear within the law. I was late to work a dozen times to work because there was not adequate care at drop off in the mornings. Just an empty room. I requested a credit on my child's account and was screamed at on speaker phone in the office at drop off by the owner Angelina Anton, far from an Angel, "no, and your family is no longer a fit for our center, you need to leave now". That's how they handled opportunities to improve, they remove them. If you're looking for a Christ centered Daycare, this is not it. They play Christian music and lie to your face. These folks are doing dark work. ..they advertise a ratio of 1:4 for toddlers and most days the ratio is 1:12 or more! Twelve toddlers for one person to feed, change diapers, supervise on a playground, and give individual attention to. Most teachers are there because they receive free or discounted care for their own children, who are prioritized whilst paying children are neglected. At both locations my child was neglected for an entire eight hour day, as an infant, and a toddler. No diaper change, no food, no water. The staff, including both Directors and assistant directors take zero accountability for their mistakes, because they don't want to be sued. The first week my infant was at this center, he was not strapped into his high chair and fell down three feet on to his head. I was not called, he was not taken to urgent care for possible brain bleed. Pediatrician confirmed he was injured, school changed their story multiple times to avoid accountability. This place is great if you don't care about your child's well-being. The adults who attended this center as a child twenty years ago, refuse to enroll their own children here. That speaks volumes.

My youngest went there from two until she started TK and she still talks fondly of Mrs. Michelle. They have a structured day where the kids have a predictable schedule of what's to come. They also plan a lot of fun activities for the kiddos such as ice cream making on letter I day or Christmas movies in PJs during the holidays. Summers at Miss Michelle's are super fun. They have park days or water play. Both of my daughters grew so much academically while at Miss Michelle's. She even gives a very detailed packet at the end of the "school year" before she starts her summer fun of all that the kids learned and their milestone! For my girls, it was a safe second home while I was working. I definitely would recommend Miss Michelle's to anybody!
