What a fun experience!! Painted Earth is a great spot for kids and for adults. Enjoy a cute environment with music while you paint your pottery of choice. Staff is so kind, and offer advice/help if you ask for guidance. Takes about a week for your pottery to be ready for pick up after painting. I painted a vase that ended up getting customer spotlight display, which was exciting! They offer unique paint events as well, and a variety of sculptures to choose from. I've had a great time, each visit. I highly recommend making reservations to get a table, as it does get busy on weekends.

Place is packed. There were six of us. Lots of selection of various sizes. Great for groups. Staff were too busy specially on a Saturday. So I didn't feel that there's enough staff to help out. Some of the brushes were quite falling apart already. Also I gave a tip as well. Other than that it's alright.

We spent a moms night out here. We brought wine and had an awesome time. The customer service, beautiful environment and selection is top-notch. I am looking forward to another visit.

Loved coming here! They accept walk-ins, but I recommend reserving a table because it got really busy during our reserved time. Staff is super helpful if you have questions. We came back for a Galentine's Day event they hosted with charcuterie plates & BYOW (bring your own wine) Can't wait to see how my recent pieces came out!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! We had our work christmas party there, in the back room and it was THE best time ever! There was plenty of space, tools, painted, etc. Kennedy was AMAZING, hands down, i will be back because of her. She was so attentive to all of us...gave us helpful tips and tricks. Brought us stencils, stamps, paint - her energy and passion toward her job was so refreshing. She was so sweet and kind. I can't wait to see my cup! Thank you for having such a beautiful space to host parties!

This is such a great place to pass the time, get creative and enjoy with family and/or friends. You pay for the sculpture you'd want to paint, and then you'll get endless time and supplies to paint your sculpture thereafter. You have so much paint to choose from, and there's even non-paint supplies you can use to make it even more unique. The staff give you a quick tutorial, and you are then set lose to do whatever you want with your sculpture. Once you're done, they will fire it up for you so the ceramic sculpture looks more professional in their final touches. They said usually it will take them 8 days to give the final touches, and I cannot wait to see the final product.

Wonderful experience. We had a reservation for 2. Shown to our table and given the run down for how things worked as it was our first time here. I think its a very good price since you only pay for the item you are painting. Spent two hours here and it was so relaxing. Much needed leisure time in a relaxing environment.

It's fun to come paint but it's pretty expensive, they were also out of a lot of colors when we went. Also the other places I've been to like this give you your piece same day.

Ask the Community - Painted Earth

Do they offer pottery wheel for a 6 year old here?

Are walk ins okay? Looking for something spontaneous to do with my daughter today

Absolutely! That's what we always do, just walk in. No reservations needed! Have fun!!!

What cone are the works fired at? I really want to start going here so I know how to use my own small kiln that is low fire. I need lessons though. Help!

Can the finished pieces be put in the dish washer?

Yes, they are safe to go in the microwave too 😊

I must also commend the teaching staff; their instructional abilities were outstanding, offering clear, insightful, and incredibly encouraging guidance that greatly enhanced the learning experience for all participants. However, I did note a couple of aspects that I believe could be refined to elevate the overall experience even further. There was a distinct feeling throughout the session that we were quite pressed for time to finalize our pieces. This accelerated pace, unfortunately, limited the opportunity for more detailed refinement or unhurried exploration, detracting slightly from the meditative and expressive potential of the medium. Additionally, while I understand the importance of maintaining a tidy workspace, the requirement for participants to handle the full cleanup immediately upon concluding our work contributed to this sense of being rushed, rather than allowing for a more gradual and relaxed end to the creative process.

You pick out the unfinished piece you want, gather your paint and supplies from the shelf, and then spend a couple hours painting them and turn them in for final firing. My friend chose a mug that holds a cookie on the bottom and decided to transform it into a likeness of her pug dog-- see the photo... The selection was low the day we painted, but on the day we picked up the selection was plenty with well stocked shelves. Brushes and cups of water are already neatly set up at the tables. The only thing you have to do is get your paint in the bottled containers. Little hands may need assistance with this or leave it to the adults to prep the paint dish. I really like the space in the Art Cafe. There is plenty of room between each table. It may be different with more customers (we were the only ones on this weekday visit). But even then, I think there is more plenty of space you don't have to worry bumping into someone. I find all ceramic cafes to be a bit pricey but this is something to do once in awhile. I find it therapeutic and I love to watch the kids paint and be creative with their piece. Great bonding time with someone or good, quiet creative time for just yourself. Go check them out.

They said 6 to 8 weeks but on the 13th week, after we called to find out why it was taking so long, we were rudely informed by Chase that he had "text" us twice, neither of which did we receive. The he told us we had till the end of the week to pick them up? This is in the 13th week with no text or call. Either way, we rush down and wait for him to come help us. In the meantime someone else walks in behind us. When Chase came out, he didn't even say hi, walked right past us to the one who entered after and literally ignored us while having a conversation with a vendor (?!) Then once he was done he proceeded to rudely push about how he had text us twice. I have no clue why that means his fingers don't work to make an actual call and leave a message but there you have it. He was confrontational as i see it because we didn't even bring up the prior rudeness or insistence that he had text but I certainly had my phone ready to show him that indeed there was no text, no call, no nothing. He didn't care, barely looked and lost a couple of people who were actually considering their extremely high monthly rates. Pretty mind blowing when it's a bit over 500 bucks a month for 2 people. Yup, every month and all it includes is the space and the wheel, nothing else. The class itself was great but because of Chase, who told us he was the owner but lists here as the busines manager, we won't go back. I see another review here with the same trouble in not getting their pieces or being informed that the pieces are ready so I guess if you want to pay 50 bucks a person for the classes and do the work to make sure you get what you pay for then have at it. We are going to try one of the other many pottery places close by.

We did this for our girl's day and while it can be initially more on the expensive side, we were able to paint at least 2-3 ceramics each. We did buy more paint than what was included in the take home kit because we wanted more colors, but if you plan your colors meticulously then the original amount you're given is more than enough to paint 1 ceramic each. The glazing is covered once you pay for the kit and ceramics and if you have leftover paint and want to go back to buy more ceramics, you don't need to pay extra for any of the glazing. I much prefer this than going in-store if you are doing a group activity. You can take your time painting and it's always nice to be able to do what you want in the comfort of your home. This is perfect for birthdays, girl's night or even just something to do with friends.
