As a parent, it's been amazing to watch him sit down at the drum set with excitement instead of resistance. The progress we've seen has been incredible. His rhythm, timing, and coordination have improved so much, but what stands out to me the most is his confidence. My son used to hesitate when trying something new, but with Paul's encouragement, he's learned to just go for it and keep pushing himself. I went to UCSD for my first degree and I think that these instructors here at CSUSM Temecula are way more approachable. They all want you to pass the class so they are open to helping you succeed. We attended a private event where Paint and Sip was the main activity, and it was SO much fun!…read more Everything we needed was provided right then and there. The tables and chairs were already set up with all of the paints and supplies, so all we had to do was sit down, relax, and start painting. The instructor and his helper were both great! The instructor walked us through the painting step by step in a way that was really easy to understand. What I especially appreciated was that they actually walked around to each table to make sure everyone was following along before moving on. I've been to painting parties where the instructor goes so quickly that you're trying to keep up the entire time, so I really liked the more personal approach here. The instructor was also lots of fun and kept the experience entertaining and lighthearted. Everyone was able to be creative and just enjoy themselves, regardless of their painting skills. I had such a good time that I would definitely attend another Paint and Sip, and next time I'd love to check out their actual location. On Thursday, I called ahead to make sure they weren't busy and then drove there. When I arrived, I was told, "Oh, we don't sell clay anymore." Luckily, I had mentioned that I didn't have clay because they were about to charge me the $40 anyway. First of all, why do they not sell clay when their name is literally "Temecula Clay"?! More importantly, please educate your employees on whether or not you sell clay, because I used to buy clay there a few years ago. I drove there TWO TIMES and wasn't able to use the wheel or work with clay at all. Just sell me the clay? Especially when the closest place to buy it is an hour away. Summer, our instructor was kind, patient and extremely helpful. She would teach us step by step what to do with the clay and then go to each student in the class and help them individually. I know personally that my "coffee mug" would have looked terrible without her expert help. My son did everything on his own with a little help with Summer and made two pieces. My daughter draws, paints, colors, doodles... is creative in some shape or form every day, so it's great that she is around caring individuals to help her expand her art skills. My daughter learns about various artists and enjoys being around other kids that share her passion. My daughter calls herself an Artist and can't wait for Tuesday nights so she can go to art class. My daughter is able to take these classes through her homeschool, Sage Oak Charter School. We choose her classes each month online and my daughter goes once a week for an hour. Classes are typically $25 each, paid monthly, which includes the art materials used. I'm glad this studio caters to all children. If you're looking for a safe, creative and friendly art studio check them out. They offer different classes, open studio, movie/art events, but we honestly haven't tried those yet.
