It is a little overstimulating, from all the bright/flashy lights, sounds, and colors, but was a great way for my child to burn her mid afternoon energy when it was raining. She had so much fun my husband took her back when it was super hot outside too. They have a toddler section and a climbing area that has slides and bridges. My child preferred to climb. The climbing area is parent friendly if you don't mind ducking and climbing through things. Definitely a place we'll use on repeat when the weather is awful.

To know especially that these are rescued animals and are being taken care of so carefully, giving us the privilege of being able to give them our love as well, it was a heartwarming experience. Plenty of free parking available right infront of the sanctuary. There is a cute little shop attached to the sanctuary, where you can buy their handmade truffle chocolates which are so delicious (coming from someone who isn't a fan of truffle chocolates), fresh farm eggs, honey, and other delicacies. With your zoo "ticket" you get 2 free samples of their chocolates and a hefty bag of feed for the animals. The animals are mostly in their own pens, with some together. There's even a couple of the pigs you'll find out of pens, just hanging out on the property, laying beside the building. You're able to go into the tortoise pen and feed/pet him as well, 2 people at a time inside the pen, as he does get anxious. You're not able to feed all of the animals, but for the most part you can. Each pen has a sign for which animals are ok to feed/pet and which are not. They are very calm and friendly, as long as you are too. They take the feed very gently and don't bite your fingers. On the weekends they offer pizza made fresh for the visitors, and have plenty of covered outdoor seating options to enjoy. They also offer wine tasting, but we did not partake, as we had just left a winery, but I'm sure it is quite enjoyable as well. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area and it's a 5 minute drive from the wineries!

My son was one of the youngest there and had no trouble playing with the bigger kids, but there is a separate area for just 2 and under. Bathroom was clean and there was a changing table with wipes and a diaper pail available. Pricing was $20 for 2 hours of play which was plenty long enough for us to explore everything. There were a couple play houses, a "fishing pond," a farmers market with tons of play fruits and grocery items, two slides, and tons of trucks and cars and other toys! There were plenty of places for parents to sit inside the play area and observe the kids. My only complaint was that it was a little warm for me inside and I wish the AC was on higher, but it was also 100 degrees outside and I was chasing a toddler. The parents to the older kids didn't seem uncomfortable at all! The website is a little confusing when booking, so pay extra attention to what days are available for which times! I had booked 10-12 on a weekday without realizing they didn't have open play slots until 12 that day. We killed time at Target and came back and it was still totally worth it. They also have memberships if you want to save some money and go more frequently.

Weekdays typically start around 9:00AM and go until around 5:00PM, with toddler times and open play blocks throughout the day. Ticket Prices & Fun Options: Play sessions are usually around $20 per child and siblings are discounted (under 12months often play free!) -- totally worth it for the fun and learning. They also offer special Montessori life skills classes like Little Chefs and Little Helpers (great for ages 2‑6!) for an added cost, and these are amazing for building confidence and real‑life skills. I was a little annoyed that we couldn't bring in waterbottles (metal refillable ones, not plastic one use bottles). The girl made me take them back out to my car. I understand they want to make money, but seriously for as much as I paid for the 2 hour pass... on a Sunday (I recommend going on a weekday... much cheaper) and had to buy socks, the least they could do is let us bring our own water. I understand no outside snacks or food, but c'mon. Sometimes I just don't understand why these places can't just let you go and have a good time without gouging you completely. Lyle Marsh has a very large and modern play area. Lots of things for kids to safely climb (photos). It has plenty of space for Moms (and Dads) to have play dates for their kids. There are benches and covered picnic areas in several locations throughout the park. Nice! It might be from my years of playing too much SIMM City, but towns who invest and provide first rate facilities for their citizens seem to "get it" and continue to grow. Enjoy!
