We had such a great time celebrating a friend's birthday here. The staff was great in helping me to locate all the pieces from my group and wrapped everything up with care. I want to come back for one of their classes in the future as well. They look fun!

i loved it so much! i went and took my husband and my son to do impressions of my sons handprints and footprints. we also did some other pieces for my son, he is 2 months old. everyone was extremely understanding and accommodating towards my son and us. super neat, clean place. lots of pieces to pick from with great prices and overall aesthetic was great.

A little late on this review but... This was my families second time at Painted Earth. Our experience was just as amazing as the first. Great atmosphere, delightful customer service and overall an enjoyable moment just painting artwork that add to our Easter decorations back in April. I also went back just before Mother's Day to have a paw clay impression done of her baby boy, Teddy as a gift. It came out amazingly beautiful. She loved it so much. However no fault on Painted Earth; but if you decide to get a clay impression done you need to schedule it well in advance a head of time if you want it completed by a certain time. The impression is fast, but the cure time takes awhile to finish. Give or take 6 weeks. They do tell you this but plan accordingly. I myself did not know this so my wife got her gift from Teddy a month later. Again that was on my own planning and not knowing this until after. However the impression was wonderfully done and again my wife loved it very much, even though she got it later. Brought a tear to her eye. I highly recommend Painted Earth for anyone who wants to enjoy quality time with their loved ones or even for good therapeutic moment or even as a soothing hobby. Hope this helps anyone in the area who is looking for something to do in Menifee.

I do enjoy coming to Painted Earth. However, to have an event without any custom themed ceramics is quite odd. I know other themed events like the Harry Potter one had ceramics specific for that event. Not sure why they would not have something that is super popular available to paint and purchase. My 3 stars is related specifically only to my disappointment with that. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. I have painted here many times.

My Daughter had her Sweet 16 here! Amanda and all the staff were Amazing settling up my daughter's birthday party. Also Smanda was so patient and helpful with assisting all the party guests in the private room. Thank you Heather for all the helpful suggestions on what to paint. Amanda you made it all possible. THANK YOU!

This location operates just like the one in Temecula we just pick a piece, pay for it, paint it and then give it back to be fired. The prices are expensive but the experience is worth it in my opinion. I would recommend getting a reservation because when I went I did not have a reservation but it was early in the day and they let us sit. This location is smaller than the Temecula location but it's still pretty and the service is great!

I recently visited Painted Earth in Menifee, and had a fantastic experience!! Erin and Luke were exceptional during my visit. Erin was knowledgeable and patient while helping me choose the right piece and tools for my pottery piece, while Luke gave my friend great tips as they are both artists. They both made my visit truly memorable. I highly recommend this studio for anyone looking for a fun and creative way to spend an afternoon. ((Seriously go!!)) P.S. A lot cheaper than I thought it would be and they let you spend so much time painting!

The girls working here are really sweet, the ambiance is laid back. Great for hanging out with friends. Prices are a little high for me but I would say comparable to other businesses. Turn around time for projects to be fired is about a week.. will be back :)

Is this kid friendly and if so what ages?

Would they be able to fire up stoneware brought from home?

Hi Alex, Unfortunately we are not able to fire pieces not purchased through one our studios.

Do we need a reservation or do they accept walk ins?

Is there a studio fee? Website says no, but reviews said $6/person?

No studio fee. You just pay for the piece you're painting. ($6/person may have been for a class.)

They fully understood and offered to let me take it home, and return whenever I could, and they would waive the $6 studio fee for next time.

I previously went in and made cups with my bestie. We happily paid for our studio time because it made sense and we were grateful to be able to use all the supplies! I went back today to glaze and got charged for another 3 hours. This didn't make sense to me because I have gone in and painted the pre-made ceramics for hours before and have only been charged one flat fee. I did the equivalent of what someone painting a pre-made piece would have done. Just to make this extra clear, if I were to grab a pre-made plate and paint it for 3 hours, I would NOT be charged an additional $40 for how long it took me. I really love this place and would really like this wrong to be made right. I'd be happy to change my review with this issue addressed. The employees are all great and tried to explain the studio time to me, but they just weren't understanding the comparison I was making to people walking in and grabbing something off the shelves. They have no power with price changes so I do NOT blame them at all. I'd love to talk about this further if it's needed! :)) Update: So sad that I haven't been reached out to yet. My best friend went to collect the mugs today (she lives closer to the store) and they mentioned my review and attempted to give a "the price is the price" kind of attitude. It's really confusing how there is zero understanding of the fact that I got overcharged for ONLY painting. If someone grabbed something off the shelves and painted for 5 hours they would NOT be charged what I got charged. How hard is that to understand? I am an artist and I can understand pricing, but this makes no sense. I have spoken to so many people about this and they all agree that the charge was NOT FAIR. I've ended every conversation by saying "I really hope they reach out to me because it's so unfortunate this has happened and maybe it's just something someone has never done before so they will adjust it." But NOPE! Nothing! Please stop acting confused and admit that you don't care about pricing properly. I ONLY PAINTED! But since I made the mug myself (and happily paid for that studio time), I now have to pay for each individual hour of painting. How does that make any sense? I'll be happy to have all of my family and friends write a review.

Ok, so this is such a ridiculous thing to have to complain about but holy was this such a terrible…read moreshopping experience for me. I went in to buy some things for my kids birthday. Some supplies and saw some bluey head pieces and some fun plush toys for the kids. $5.99 on the shelf but their site showed them on sale for $4.99. I'm buying a few so that's a solid $10 I'd save. I ask the workers if they can price match their own site. They say no. So I say ok I'll just order online and pay less. Few extra steps but for $10 why not. Complete the order, show the worker my receipt that's literal photos of the 7-8 things I paid for that's literally in my hand at the check out. Ok sir, give those to us. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to process the order into store online for us to get it off the shelf. Well put it in a bag up front and you can grab them when you're done..... Uhhhh grab what. It's literally in my hand. You see with photos what I paid. Can I just leave?! No we need to wait until the order processes and so and so will get them off the shelf and process the order and you can take it there. Mind you they're making it sound like a 2-5 minute wait. 45 god dam minutes?! I paid for the items and have them in hand. What is the issue?! So they take the items and place it up front behind the register. Still in shock I ask what looks like the manager and 2 other workers. "So you're telling me you have to wait for the order to come through, just to take the items off the shelf that's right in that bag. You can't just put down on a sticky note to tell Shannon (made up name) not to fulfill order number 6892?!" And let me walk out with what I'm showing you proof I paid for?! I've worked retail. I understand online ordered and fulfillment. But some BASIC critical thinking. With proof of purchase and photos of the items purchased in the dam order invoice. But you have to simulate to the fullest extent getting it off the self?! She then explained "orders come online in order, so yours will have to wait to be pulled from the self after the others come in first" I literally look in my arms and tell her. "You mean the items in my hands?!" Mind you they're never once went to talk to the girl(s) they kept referring to that fulfill the online orders.... They just stuck with the this is how it's always done. And how we're going to do it. Again too much process thinking for them apparently... And it's not like 1 worker was overly busy. There was 5 employees for 1 open register and the rest standing waiting to help people self check out. Literally felt like I was dealing with a bot with a single line protocol who couldn't deviate and use their own logic to let me just walk out with the items paid for, in hand. With photos and an invoice. I was so annoyed I was seriously tempted to just be that petty and go back after being called 30 minutes later just to tell them to return it all. Maybe I'm crazy, but this interaction baffled me and was beyond 100000x more difficult than it ever needed to be. Again a single note or word of passing that order number 5792 was picked up already. Just mark and fulfilled in the system and move on.. I'm sorry but that was literally one of the lowest IQ worker interactions I've ever been through. And it wasn't just 1 or 2.... There was 4 employees involved in this interaction again all standing around the self check out. Doing busy work waiting to be needed for a self check out issue. And 1 who was working the actual register
