I really like this place. Took my little ones there last week. They have a lot of different pieces to pick from. They did just. Hangs their prices but there is no longer a "paint fee" so it kind of evens out. The employees were also very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place only if Lucy isn't working. She is extremely rude. Was going there pretty regularly until I had the Misfortune of interacting with Lucy. I felt singled out by her. I left a review on their FB page but apparently they only show the good reviews because my review disappeared. Really unfortunate since everyone else I've met there have been awesome. I had been attending event nights where they serve food so I didn't realize you couldn't eat in there. No biggie, I'm fine with that but she was extremely rude when approaching me about eating a cookie. I tried to explain why I misunderstood and she was short with me and told me to go outside. I felt like I was singled out because I'm bigger. People bring cookies in there all the time because Crumble is close to it and I've never seen anyone make a big deal out of it, but she looked at me with disgust because the bigger girl had the nerve to have a cookie. Bring out the child in you and spend time painting with any loved one or just by yourself! A very relaxing day was spent here at Painted Earth. This venue sells unpainted ceramics in many different themes that suits everyone of all ages. You purchase the ceramics, pay a $6 fee for the studio where you can spend the day expressing your colorful imagination. After you are finish with your creation, you leave your art at the store for 1 week for the final shiny touch in the oven. We have been here many times before and it never seems to disappoint. Since it had been a while since we painted pottery we weren't sure what to expect but Painted Earth exceeded our expectations. Went on a weekday afternoon with my kids. Made a reservation which helps because there are less tables due to social distancing. Pick your items from the wall (be mindful there is more towards the back past the register). Then sit down and pick your paint colors. Very easy setup and fun. Price is about $20-30 an item to paint. They have plates, mugs, seasonal items, and other decorations. We were notified items were ready for pickup about a week after our visit. Not bad! Very similar to the Color Be Mine chain we went to in the OC. read more

My girlfriend and I went in on a Monday afternoon and had an absolute blast! They charged $10 to hold your reservation, however they give you that $10 back towards whatever you decide to do while there. We were inside, but had our temperature taken and kept masks on the whole time, as well as everyone else. It was a fun activity and definitely will come back soon! read more

The first time my husband took me here was for my birthday about 2 years ago, since then we've been hooked and we have a few pieces in our room from this place that we've painted. Since then, we've been to the date night painting session, the wine night where we can bring our own wine and drink it while we paint our pottery, and even family session where we can bring kids and encourage them to be artists. I brought my nephews here to paint and they loved it. They enjoyed being able to pick an animal they like and paint it any color they want. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to get crafty. We got her foot prints in ceramic from this place and it's now in her room to remind us of how small she used to be. HuhVery fun place! The selection is very good. A wide variety of items for kids and adults. You can really get creative here! They offer so much! The staff was friendly and helpful. They offered some tips and suggestions which were greatly appreciated! You get your finished piece in one week and we can't wait to see the final products! This location has classes, ladies nights and other events which I'd love to check out later on. The wine night sounds like a blast! You can get comfy here, bring in food and/or drinks and really just enjoy your time. It was good quality time with my daughter. You can paint as many pieces as you'd like for a $6 studio fee. A nice relaxing day painting? Yes please! The staff here is nice and helpful. If you're looking for something specific they'll look through cupboards and shelves to help find what you're looking for. A bunch of colors, and if there is a technique you want to try, like with bubbles, chances are they've done it and will show you how. You can bring in your own drinks and snacks which is great if you have a friend that takes 6 hours to paint a little plate :) Just know going in that it is going to take 7 days to get your finished piece. I understand it was 7:30 and reservations are recommended however the gal that was at the counter in the back kept nodding her head that she clearly didn't want us to be seated. I found this so rude especially when we were browsing to pick out a piece, the girl came up and offered to to just pack the item with the paint to go home. It was very unprofessional, I understand I would've been on a time limit and I wasn't planning to keep them longer than they had to but she was really going above and beyond to get me out of there. A little pricey specially that you have to pay a studio fee... I live in canyon lake & we have one across in the center that doesn't charge a studio fee and they basically have everything they do other than the glass... but other than that I loved the environment and it was fun! My daughter and her friends had an awesome time with the canvas paintings and newly added slime package, the staff was great and organized. I have attended multiple bisque ware painting places. They are a wonderful place to have a nice family outing, or to sit and relax alone for hours. This being said, today was my first time to the company Painted Earth. PROS: -The selection of glazes are incredible. Offered more variety than I have ever seen. -Lovely Location. Near Starbucks and decent food options. -Adequate space to not feel smothered by others. CONS: -The Studio fee ($6 I believe) (Not a bad price if you can finish your piece in one visit). If you are a serious painter and adore the fine details and spend multiple days on your piece. I don't believe this is the place for you. Unlike other places they charge this fee every time you come in. Adding quite a bit of money to your project. -Not a great variety of tools to use when it comes to making small designs on your piece. -Employees (girls at the time) that work there are not that helpful. Most of them don't seem to know too much about pottery at all. -Employees seem bothered when you need to ask them a question. -Some places will hold your unfinished item for your next return (usually will hold for 2/3 days and will toss if you do not return). Painted earth will not hold your items for you. Possibly damaging your art whilst wrapping it in hard paper and putting it into a bag. Needless to say, I have been to better locations but if you are looking for a quick painting session to satisfy your craving. This isn't horrible. read more

Picked up my measuring spoons today, the design had rubbed off (I put plenty of paint on it), there were chips and holes and they forgot to put a piece in my bag and have to go back now. When I feel like letting my inner "artist" out, this place is a good outlet. Price per person was $6, not counting the ceramic piece you pick out to paint. I guess the $6 fee is to cover the cost of using the brushes, paints and other tools available. No biggie. After painting your piece, it usually takes a week to get your masterpiece back. Staff is somewhat helpful, depending on who is working that day. But you're basically on your own. Once you come here once, you'll get the hang of how it all works. read more

Great way to spend a free few hours, and great for kids. Friendly staff, clean work stations, large selection of paints and colors, and many options of ceramic pieces. Pick out a piece, paint it, and return one week later to pick up your finished piece. The only negative, and the reason for four stars, is a family of four with basic ceramic pieces your looking at just over $100. Would love to see them have "family pricing" or something to make it a little more affordable for the average family on average income. We'll be back though. I absolutely love this place for Saturday/Sunday afternoons. The atmosphere is so serene and peaceful, as I get lost in my painting for hours. It is a great place to bond or go on a date. There is a Starbucks right next to this place, so you can enjoy a coffee, while painting at the same time. The prices are reasonable and the pottery is ready for pick-up within about a week. The specialists also help assist you in techniques and skills if needed to create a masterpiece! I decided to do the fused glass bar last night, which is awesome all the various different types of glass they got can wait to get my night light back in 2 weeks, was kinda bummed it takes so long to get back but figured 2 weeks isn't long for the life time memory I created!!! Took my 6y old here tonight for a mother daughter date. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We were explained the painting process, given tips on how to get the best results and offered to choose our painting station. The girl working, I think her name was Lexi, was amazing.. She set up our table with water and place mats and checked on us frequently. The store had many options of items to paint. Xmas ornaments and decor, dishes, coffee mugs, piggy banks, cookie jars etc.. Lots of options. Price was $6 per person plus the cost of the item you painted. I thought it was a bit pricey, but my they do offer a special on Tues that offers 2 for the price of 1 on the $6 per person rate. My plate was $44 and my daughters was $22. It was about $78 for it. But like I said... Very fun, I would recommended it. read more

Not that impressed. We went in around Christmas time with a coupon for a free ornament and we started to pick one out because it wasn't clear which ones it was. Finally after spending time to pick an ornament the girl informed me they were out of the free ones. So rather than hunt for something else I kept my fifteen dollar piece and my girls did too all in all we spent$100 on the pieces not including the sitting fee so basically almost $200 for a couple of ornaments and a platter. For that kind of money I don't expect to clean up any mess .what are we paying for if not at least some service? But at the end of the night they expected us to clean up the brushes and plates and even had the audacity to point to the table next to us where the people just left and wanted us to clean up after them! I said no way I'm not spending $200 to pick up after other people that's your job. We cleaned our own and picked up our stuff a few days later. It looked nice but not worth the cost, the work cleaning or the cheap ceramic you can buy at Ross for five dollars. Find another way to paint at home you'll save tons of money. read more
