Ok so when I logged in to submit my review I was surprised to see they have such low overall ratings. Personally I don't ship here on the regular, but their birthday party package is a chest code. As soon as we got there we were greeted and our coordinator informed us she would take care of everything. And guess what? She was amazing at it. The kids were entertained the entire time and they also took care of the pizza ordering and all. It's also not very expensive, it's actually very affordable considering the price of mind and ease this was ensuring my kid had a great birthday expressive. Ok, so this is such a ridiculous thing to have to complain about but holy was this such a terrible shopping experience for me. I went in to buy some things for my kids birthday. Some supplies and saw some bluey head pieces and some fun plush toys for the kids. $5.99 on the shelf but their site showed them on sale for $4.99. I'm buying a few so that's a solid $10 I'd save. I ask the workers if they can price match their own site. They say no. So I say ok I'll just order online and pay less. Few extra steps but for $10 why not. Complete the order, show the worker my receipt that's literal photos of the 7-8 things I paid for that's literally in my hand at the check out. Ok sir, give those to us. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to process the order into store online for us to get it off the shelf. Well put it in a bag up front and you can grab them when you're done..... Uhhhh grab what. It's literally in my hand. You see with photos what I paid. Can I just leave?! No we need to wait until the order processes and so and so will get them off the shelf and process the order and you can take it there. Mind you they're making it sound like a 2-5 minute wait. 45 god dam minutes?! I paid for the items and have them in hand. What is the issue?! So they take the items and place it up front behind the register. Still in shock I ask what looks like the manager and 2 other workers. "So you're telling me you have to wait for the order to come through, just to take the items off the shelf that's right in that bag. You can't just put down on a sticky note to tell Shannon (made up name) not to fulfill order number 6892?!" And let me walk out with what I'm showing you proof I paid for?! I've worked retail. I understand online ordered and fulfillment. But some BASIC critical thinking. With proof of purchase and photos of the items purchased in the dam order invoice. But you have to simulate to the fullest extent getting it off the self?! She then explained "orders come online in order, so yours will have to wait to be pulled from the self after the others come in first" I literally look in my arms and tell her. "You mean the items in my hands?!" Mind you they're never once went to talk to the girl(s) they kept referring to that fulfill the online orders.... They just stuck with the this is how it's always done. And how we're going to do it. Again too much process thinking for them apparently... And it's not like 1 worker was overly busy. There was 5 employees for 1 open register and the rest standing waiting to help people self check out. Literally felt like I was dealing with a bot with a single line protocol who couldn't deviate and use their own logic to let me just walk out with the items paid for, in hand. With photos and an invoice. I was so annoyed I was seriously tempted to just be that petty and go back after being called 30 minutes later just to tell them to return it all. Maybe I'm crazy, but this interaction baffled me and was beyond 100000x more difficult than it ever needed to be. Again a single note or word of passing that order number 5792 was picked up already. Just mark and fulfilled in the system and move on.. I'm sorry but that was literally one of the lowest IQ worker interactions I've ever been through. And it wasn't just 1 or 2.... There was 4 employees involved in this interaction again all standing around the self check out. Doing busy work waiting to be needed for a self check out issue. Came here to use a 50% off coupon. I drove 13.9 miles to come buy cotton yarn. Apparently according to the employees this is a "dabble store, a starter crafting place". This is not a place to get more than that. I was stunned. 1 Star Review I was refused service at this location tonight. After discovering that Target didn't have what I needed, I rushed to Michael's before closing. I arrived at 8:56 PM -- well before the posted closing time of 9:00 PM. The first set of automatic doors wouldn't open, though I could clearly see customers still inside. When the second set opened, I stepped in and was greeted by the cashier who was ringing up another customer. Within seconds, another employee -- possibly a manager -- approached me and said, "We're closed." I explained politely that I wasn't from the area and just needed a single white poster board for a church event the next morning. Her response: "I'm sorry, the registers are closed." Meanwhile, the register was actively open as another customer was being checked out. I even said, "If you just point me to where it is, I'll be in and out in seconds." The employee, clearly annoyed, cut me off with, "No, you need to leave right now," positioning herself to turn me back toward the door. We drove a long way (I know I should have checked online first) for a specific coloring book my daughter has been asking for. While trying to look for the book, the employee stocking the shelves right next to us offered no greeting or help whatsoever. When we asked if they had anything else in another area she kind of just waved us off to another aisle, with an "I think there's more over there" I went to the side to look online to see if I could find it and was passed by another employee who also offered no greeting or help. I did a full lap around the store and couldn't find anyone to help me. When I finally found an employee it was an awful experience. I will not be going back here and I've been a customer here for years. The female employee was a woman in her 60s and was very unhelpful, short with her answers, and had an unwelcoming tone. She was also in the middle of helping someone else and decided to ignore that person instead of either asking me to wait a second so she could finish with the first customer or finding me another employee to help. When I asked her why a section is empty she just responded with "yep, that's it". It felt like I had to pull teeth to get the help I should have been offered. She then responded to my next questions with one word responses that were not helpful. Ex. Why is it empty? "Not sure." Will it be restocked? "No." These are all questions I shouldn't have to ask and should have been explained to me when I first asked why it was empty, and if the employee doesn't have an answer then they should find someone who does. Finally, I did not appreciate how unprofessional she was when I walked away and she started talking about me behind my back like I couldn't hear her. The store is usually well stocked and for all of my purchases, I did not need to track down an associate to unlock products to purchase them. Staffing seems to always be a little on the thin side, but no better or worse than similar stores in the area. Prices are fair as long as you are able to use a coupon or two. read more

This is one of the cleaner and more stocked up Michales in the area. Do not consider the one in Temecula because they look "shopped" and are low on inventory basically all months of the year. This particular location however is clean and has a decent inventory. Be sure to use their app for additional discounts and ease of ordering online which I do for our toddler almost weekly. Their Halloween and Christmas collections were really good this past 2021 season but their November Thanksgiving collection was a bit small in my opinion. They have nice fake Christmas trees to see in store vs only online so check them out for your holiday needs this coming 2022 season. read more

Last month I came to this Michael's. They have new registers that are self check out. I had a cart full of stuff and 3 young children with me, so I asked if I could wait to be helped at a register. They were incredibly rude to me. I didn't want to keep my eyes off the youngest one and they told me I could only pay cash even though they were helping out other people and they were paying card. I was here the day they opened for their grand opening so everything was on sale! I was thrilled to have been a part of this grand opening event. The place was swamped and there were tons of goodies for sale! I ended up getting a few baking supplies, a few scrapbooking needs, and some paint supplies. The great thing about this place is that there's so many classes offered here from painting classes to baking classes. I think that's really great for them to encourage arts and crafts. There's also a birthday room for people to celebrate their birthday here. I get coupons to Michaels all the time and I've been able to get a few of our paintings framed here for half the price. It's Holiday season, I've shopped at the store multiple times in the week and wanted to make a quick return before thanksgiving day. I must of mistakenly put the ornaments in the wrong box the Ashland glass ornaments they don't have any description or color on the box.
