I came by on a few days before Xmas looking to get a gift certificate. I don't recall the exact time (it was fairly early in the afternoon) but with a note on the door saying they closed early that day, presumably for the holiday. It's refreshing to see a business that puts family/holidays above profit. Bravo! And it served me right for Xmas shopping so close to Christmas - shame on me! We stopped in here on a quick trip through Temecula and what a gem we found! The fabric selection is excellent and there were inspiring projects all over the place! There was a class going on that looked great and the gals made us feel welcome even though we were just passing through. They even gave us directions to find some lunch and the freeway! The store is light and beautiful and was chock full of wonderful products. Go see for yourself if you're into any fiber arts, quilting, wool work or just want to see some incredible projects. When the w needed the seamstress and crafters the most, Between Stitches was there to save the day. This was an absolutely charming and welcoming place! They had such a beautiful set up and such an array of fabrics! Today was my first time there since I started sewing again to make mask, and I was highly highly impressed by everything and everyone. So different from the last shop I used to go to in Temecula! Cindee has done an awesome job of decorating the shop to make it a warm , inviting, and friendly destination; not just a stopping point to grab something and run out the door. What can I say? My wife needed help with her serger and Between Stitches stepped up. It is her mother's serger that was passed down after her mother passed away a few years ago. Tomorrow would have been her mother's birthday and it's always a difficult time for her. The family feel and genuine desire to help was amazing! What a blessing!!!! They checked her machine, fixed the stitches, and told her she didn't need to do a tune up at this time. They could have easily charged her for the 30 minutes of work they did, but they didn't. I know you may not get a lot of husbands reviewing this type of business but all I can say is thank you! During these crazy COVID times, it's good to feel comfortable. This place will get my future business and should definitely be on your list for your sewing and quilting needs. read more

I LOVE this place! Although I have been sewing for years, I am fairly new to quilting and I have checked out a few quilt shops. This is by far, my favorite. The staff is very friendly and so very helpful. I was working on a very special quilt and was having trouble coordinating my prints. Kat and Tasha both were helpful with suggestions and generous with their time while still helping others. They gave me constructive critiques without making me feel inferior. I went in to see what they had since I am new to the area and it was maybe fifteen minutes before I was even acknowledged I was there. When I finally got acknowledged by a young girl named Cat I felt like she made me feel like I was a burden to her time. What a lovely little surprise of a crafting shop! I stumbled upon this place while I was on my way to Pete's Music and found the place to be absolutely adorable. The fabrics were very aesthetically pleasing and of good quality and the staff was very friendly, especially the woman who helped me at the register. I was so focused on the fabrics that I totally forgot there was a second half of the store where more sewing gadgets and accessories were hung up on the walls. I found this shop a decade ago when I purchased a travel-sized Jamone from the previous owner (Mike, the repair man's mother) to take with me to my quilting get-togethers and it was my only machine for years. I moved to San Diego for several years but now I'm back and I LOVE what Cindee has done with the shop. Everyone is right about the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. My Janome 4618 LE sewing machine broke down after 17 faithful years. I called Between the Stitches & Mike helped (& researched) the perfect Janome machine to replace my old one with. Bonus- The presser feet are interchangeable too. I'm very happy with my new sewing machine. Tasha sat down with me & helped me learn all the wonderful features this new Janome 6050 has to offer.
