Located in 'Promenade Temecula' off the 15 FWY. This mall features two separate Macy's stores, a women's only and a men's, children, and home. The women's building does not have a men's restroom FYI. Both stores are fully stocked, organized, simply beautifully clean. Macy's has always been one of my favorite stores because I can find anything I need not only for myself and/or home, but also gifts when needed. I like that staff allows customers to test a perfume or cologne before purchase. This assures you're making the right purchase when trying something new. I absolutely do not like the layout of this Macy's. I don't really ship here but I get my make-up here. I decided to take my mother shopping for some make-up and so we went. My mom is in a wheelchair chair and I didn't find the wheel chair accessibility to be that accommodating. The doors are small and the but is smashed in and looks broken, but it works, somewhat. I didn't like that about this Macy's. I found all the make-up counters to be very small. My mom uses clarins make-up, while I use the mac and estee lauder. Like I say, the counters are small and the different brands are very close to each other. Today at estee lauder, they had a spend 40$ and get some creams and serum 112$ value for free. I didn't really need anything, but I had to get the deal. Also there was an extra 15% off. I got some concealer and foundation and ofc I had to get the foundation brush from mac. I think they make awesome brushes. I didn't like myself make-up girl that helped me at estee lauder. It just seemed her "focus" was easily swayed. She was nice though. I went into Macys in Temecula on 8/22/2026 with approximately $480 worth of returns that were purchased about 40 days or 38 days ago so about 8 to 10 days past the 30 day return date which are still able to be returned by the way. I went to the backstage location and the manager of that department wasn't able to help me so I got a higher manager. I think his name was Fabian. I think frankie or Fabian evidently he looks like he's been with Macys for quite some time. And he was nice. He was polite, but he basically refused to help me and told me that I was gonna lose my $50 in star money and easy exchange money and I wasn't gonna get it back even though the purchase that I was returning, wasn't how I earned that Star money because that Star money was given to me by Macys customer service which was about $90 worth of star money due to horrible customer service that I received on a four hour phone call with the Online department regarding an issue so they put $90 in star money in my account so it was never a star money that was earned from a purchase. It was courtesy money that was given to me by Macys direct manager at the Customer Service level from the online ordering department, so there's no reason why I shouldn't have gotten it back if I did a return because it had nothing to do with the items that I had purchased so I spent about 40 minutes in the store and the end result was no matter how you slice the cake. I'm gonna lose about 50 bucks and I'm not getting it. Returned to my Macys card even though I put it on my Macys card I'm only gonna get Store credit and I felt nervous and I felt tricked and when I feel nervous and tricked, I feel like someone's trying to take advantage of me and benefit themselves or the store but not the customer so I canceled it and I left well. I went on Google. Gemini did my research Google Gemini told me exactly what to say exactly how to handle it. I did exactly what Google Gemini said contacted Macys Corporate Customer Service today and they gave me return shipping labels for both orders. They gave me their operator ID number they gave me their direct extension. They put notes in the system that everything is gonna get refunded back to my Macys card and that I will in fact get a gift card in the mail for the easy exchange money and the Macys Star Rewards money and that I won't lose anything and that I can be rest assured, and I don't have to worry about nothing because I will not lose a dime so thank you Fabian or frankie whatever your name was I don't remember but I got it resolved through Macys CORPERATE and they did what you refused to do and they told me you could've done what they did. After a full day of driving back from our one night stay in San Diego, the wedding rehearsal, family and bridal party luncheon. Then finally checking in to the Holiday Inn Express for our two night wedding weekend stay, I considered myself done for the rest of the day. My wife was back out to drop off our youngest to his brother's and fiancé's Airbnb rental to kick it with them, as well as the bride's sister and her fiancé for a few hours. She also needed to pickup a few things while out. Of course that gave her time to check out a few more dresses at the local Macy's nearby. And even though she already had two formal gowns to choose from for the wedding, hanging in the hotel's closet, wouldn't you know it, she returns excited about finding "the one!" She just needed me to come back out with her to see what I thought as she tried it on for me. So it was rouse me from my near sleep state of relaxation, and head over to Macy's! Now mind you, I was quite pleased with both gowns she brought with us from home, one still my preference of them all. But as we all know, a woman wants what a woman wants. What is the old saying? "Happy Wife Happy Life". So after a bit of hubby grumbling, we were off to Macy's to see this dress. Nearby and probably within two miles of the hotel; friendly staff and a well maintained store. On 1/11/2026, I purchased a pair of sunglasses through Sunglass Hut located inside Macy's at the Temecula Promenade. The item had to be ordered, as I did not want the display model. I received the order on 1/16/2026 and after trying them on at home, realized I did not like the fit. On 2/8/2026, I returned to the same kiosk location to process the return. The merchandise was inspected and confirmed to be in new condition. However, the return was not completed. I was informed that the manager on duty, Alex, did not know how to move forward with the return and did not make any effort to inquire about how to resolve the issue. There was no attempt to contact support or find a solution. It was very concerning to encounter someone representing themselves as a manager who appeared to have no knowledge of how to handle a standard return. I ultimately went to the Carlsbad location, where the staff was competent, professional, and able to assist without difficulty, thanks Priscilla! The team there could not understand why the Temecula location was unable to process the return. This appears to be either a training issue or a lack of experience, which reflects poorly on the store's management. Time to hire replacements. read more

I went to Macys women's shoe department looking for shoes for my wedding. There are two counters and each has staff at the counter. I approach a counter with a couple shoes in hand to request my size. I smile and say hello and a male employee instantly points to the other counter and says "you need to go over there to get shoes". No hello. No smile. The lady at the second counter wasn't rude but also wasn't friendly. She actually looked stressed. They also didn't have any pantyhose foot covers. Gone are all the local city competitors, who provided choices through their buyers, like Bon Marché, Filene's, Bloomingdale's (yes, they own them too), Jordan Marsh and Marshall Field, I Magnum, I could go on. All were acquired by Macy's and folded into this national brand, with their local charm and character all erased. Even their original name, Federated Dept Stores is gone. A few have escaped, Dillard's and Nordstrom's comes to mind, or Canada's Hudson Bay's Saks Fifth Avenue. But very few local identities remain. Which brings me to my accidental visit here yesterday. Macy's it seems has become a store within a store. Lids Locker Room, defunct Toys R Us and Footlocker have all partnered with small kiosks inside their store. It's similar to what Apple, Google, etc did with Best Buy. So what makes Macy's special? Do I shop here for Polo Ralph Lauren, or go to their store? Ditto the above brands. My experience here was sad and disappointing. Nothing unique. Nothing special. Nothing I couldn't get online or somewhere else. Just a homogeneous experience of bland. Rebecca at the Mac makeup section is wonderful. She has helped me out a couple of times now. Once when she was not there, I bought the wrong foundation. Rebecca happened to be there when I brought it back the next week. She put on different foundations to make sure I was buying the right one, took back the other one, and was very sweet about it. I know that all makeup manufacturers take back makeup if it is purchased and happens to me the wrong one, but I have always found the Mac makeup gals to be especially nice at Macy's in Temecula. Very nice department store with really nice quality products and a great selection of clothes and accessories but I went to the Starbucks they have in there and I asked nicely for a cup of water with ice and a straw and they said no Starbucks changed a law about no free cups of water without a purchase. This is the second time that I purchased something from Macy's where the incorrect item was shipped to me. They outsource with other companies and they do not take responsibility for when they make mistakes. They expect me to go out of my way to return an item to get a refund. I have a handicap child which makes it very difficult for me to leave the house when I am alone and bring him along. I wanted a suit for my Husband to wear this weekend for a wedding and now they have to contact the third-party seller to ask them for a refund and a shipping label, that way UPS can come pick it up from my house. I have been a loyal Macys shopper for decades, even when they were Bullocks and Robinsons May, and sadly after tonight, I will never set foot into a Macys store again. I went in to buy a pair of shoes and the first pair I found was on the Last Act shelf. When I went to the counter to check out, they scanned the shoe and then went to the back room to retrieve the other half. The employee returned and said that even though the computer says it is in stock, he couldn't find the pair. He asked for my phone number and said if they find it tonight, they'll call me. At this point, it was 8:30 and they close at 9pm so i figured it would probably be best for me to just find another similar shoe instead. Once I found one, I gave it to the employee and he scanned the shoe and said he will retrieve the other half. After several minutes, he returned once again without the pair and said that this pair was also missing the other half. So now this is two shoes that are on the shelf for sale but are missing pairs. He told me that he would try to look for the missing shoes and if he found then he would call me. By then it was about 8:45pm. I wanted to give him the opportunity to try to look for any one of the shoes so I could at least purchase a pair of shoes like I wanted so I started walking around and went up the escalator and as I looked down at the shoe department, I saw him talking to another employee rather than "looking for my shoes" so then I just walked to the nearest counter and asked for a manager. After explaining the whole situation, the employee called the manager on the headset and the manager reluctantly agreed to meet me back at the shoe department. When I arrived, the manager basically explained that it was not their fault that some shoes are missing pairs because most of the time they don't even notice that pairs are different or wrong sizes until they are returned. I then asked if shoes are checked at the time of purchase which I've seen hundreds of times before, and he said yes but these things just happen. So then at this point I asked if I could purchase a similar pair at a discounted price and he said no. He didn't even try to work with me. He was not willing to make up for the flawed system in the shoe department. I am so disappointed in Macys. I will be paying off my Macys credit card and again, I will never set foot in a Macys again. read more

I shopped at this Macy's location over the holidays and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. They have separate women's and men's departments which are both anchor stores in the Promenade Mall. If you visit, you will enjoy not only Macy's but the Promenade Mall is a great place to walk, with many stores located indoors and many also located outdoors with many restaurants located outdoors.
