This location is clean looking, new and bright. The merchandise is pretty heavy on apparel and shoe choices, maybe the clientele need for this location. I really try NOT to come here because I know I'm going to get myself into trouble, lol. I usually come for hair products, especially leave-in conditioner/heat protection sprays. They always have something I end up looking at that I DO NOT need, but I know I'm not alone. Everyone knows about the aisle of temptation... it's the walk of shame before you pay for the stuff you already have in your hands or shopping cart. Just don't look!! Today I did well, but out of the corner of my little left eye, I spied a bottle of Kristin Ess Detangling Spray. I HAD to snag it (after I already made my purchase of other things) since it was the only one in the aisle of temptation. For $7.99, it definitely beats the regular retail price of $12-$13!! A woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do!! This location doesn't always have the best selection. I just returned from a short trip out in Fallon, NV and that location is always organized and they have a good selection. Well... I guess that's because there's way more people here than there, so I get it, but from now on, I am going to buy what I see next time I am in Fallon!! I've missed out on some good things thinking I can get them in CA, but it's a treasure hunt. Grab it when you see it or you may never see it again and then you'll regret it (that is, if you REALLY want it). This Menifee location does a good job of trying to keep it organized and clean and the cashiers are always friendly. The patrons need to stop opening packages, especially makeup and skincare products. Have some class, smh! Some of the clearance items are legit so be sure to browse that area, too. Literally the worst TJ Maxx experience I've ever had. I went to go return some jewelry that was broken when I had initially bought it. Both the employee and manager were no help and refused to take my return, or even offer me store credit to buy a different item. If you want a good experience go somewhere else I will never return to this TJ Maxx location ever again. read more

Pregnant mom with toddler and TJ Maxx credit card holder --went in a few days ago and was assisted by Veronica, very sweet and nice girl. Hoping she continues to provide great service to customers! She was smiling during most of our interaction which you don't see too often. Only reason I am giving 4 stars because employee Rosa kept trying to get me to sign up for TJ Maxx credit card after I already said I was one and my toddler was clearly having a tantrum. Her timing was very off and rude. Lack of social awareness made me want to cancel my transaction. Selection was very good finding most products I needed easily! First return here at this store was a nightmare! I never return anything here and when I had to they gave me a very hard time because I paid through PayPal. Even talking to the guy manager there was useless. They do absolutely nothing to make it right! I left my wedding ring at the jewelry counter on accident. Called to see if they had it or if anyone turned it in and they said no. I show up in person anyways to double check and all of a sudden they did have it and I was able to take it back. That was dishonesty or laziness I'm not sure but either way unacceptable. read more

The customer service experience was awful, and what's worse it was the manager that caused the awful experience. My husband is a retired employee and I attempted to use the associates card (which still works when the associate is retired.) As the associate who was ringing me up was about to scan the card the manager walked over and grabbed the card from the associate and asked which location I worked at, I explained it was my husband and gave the info needed. She turned around and spoke to another employee then turned back and advised they wouldn't accept the card because a new card should be issued (which I'm fine with, it could be as simple as my husband doesn't realize he's received it) but during this process they pulled my bags behind the counter which made me feel like they believed I was trying to get items for free or doing something wrong. I asked if as a courtesy they could honor it (it's a 10% discount, not like I'm getting items for free... it's literally just to not pay tax) and they started making comments that maybe my husband just didn't give me the card or he wasn't going to receive it anymore since he was no longer an employee In which again I reminded them he wasn't terminated or quit - he has recently RETIRED! Awful that they felt not only to make assumptions but to make me feel like I was doing something illegal for using a corporate issued card. There's too many other organized stores then to give the awful manager anymore business. read more

I went to TJ Max to look at luggage accessories and then to the junior department to check out some adorable tops. Then this horrified lady with her carts hit me in the back, and I said excuse you, and she became very offensive, and it appears that it is not her fault. I had major surgeries and screws put in my lumbar region due to a bad back. She insisted that it was no big deal and said, excuse me, pushing her cart at me before I had a chance to back off. She continued pushing until she struck me. I believe the two women I reported to are the store manager. They seem very accommodating and concerned. Given how aggressive these women are when shopping, I hope this does not happen to anyone else. Take caution, everyone. read more

I waited in line for over 15 min which I really don't mind because of holiday. However when I got the check out to do a return without a receipt it was like I was a criminal! The cashier was rude to me and was taking a long time to process everything even though I had told her I only wanted store credit for it knowing that I did not have my receipt because it was a gift. So then she takes the product to the back to look at it and her and the supervisor keep looking back at me rude. They both come back to the counter and she tell me that she can't take the return because it's used, however I told her that item was never used and it broke before i had even used it. We came into TJMaxx today. There was a sweet lady cleaning each cart for me to stay healthy... and I thanked her for doing it. I was looking for some sports shirts, a sports ball, a sports bra, and a wallet. The kind lady (Lashawnda?) at the jewely register guided me toward the wallet section and I found the perfect one for him at a great price! Next I found 3 shirts that brought me joy when looking at them, so they went into my cart. I went over to the sports section and found the ball I wanted with Michelle's (the manager according to her nametag) and then asked if she minded helping me pick out a sports bra. Michelle actually walked with me over to the area. I told her I had purchased some before and had to cut the sides because I have a large ribcage. We chuckled a bit about it. But she actually helped me size one for me. In all honesty every time I go to look for one I get an anxiety attack. Too many choices, I end up shutting down and walking away. I know it seems silly but I am very excited about it! I drove almost 45 minutes to get here so I hope that it fits. Definitely a huge fan of TJMax but this one has the worst inventory and the worst management. There's always a older Hispanic woman with short hair standing in the front looking like a security guard hawking over everyone. As a manager she should be greeting customers and asking her employees how she can be of help to them. Ironically the cashiers are always the kindest people I encounter there. I went in today looking for two bathing suits and I found two very nice bathing suits. Very nice jewelry nice clothes for work. I don't understand those who think service in this store is lacking. But that's okay, I guess I just never seem to need "service" in a store like this and I do love to shop by myself. I can't imagine anybody at any store being rude just because you're shopping with a "girlfriend" - no one cares. Had to be another reason for a supposed "rudeness". Another person said she wasn't allowed to return makeup she used that cause her a breakout. Used makeup cannot be returned by law. It has to be thrown away - so she just wanted her money back. Maybe the company who made it would do so, but TJ Maxx is not responsible for allergies. I've had nothing but great success in purchases at this store and no problem when I returned some things I didn't bother to try on in the store and weren't right for me when I did so at home. Not an ounce of trouble returning. That was the Menifee store. The Temecula store was amazing to me when I was stuck there without a car and no cell phone! My husband had dropped me off on a Sunday and I had forgotten Hobby Lobby wasn't open, so I went to TJ Maxx, but how would hubby know where to find me? One of the staff let me use HER cell phone to call hubby and let him know where I would be. SO NICE. I love shopping at TJ Maxx and will do so again as soon as they OPEN. I usually enjoy my shopping at T.J.MAXX & the deals they have:) I had an uncomfortable shopping experience at this location at the jewelry counter. I was spending well over $100 for a 14k gold band at the counter & grabbed 3 items more that weren't jewelry during the hours of 3-4:30pm. I kindly asked the associate if she would charge everything to one card & she inconveniently told me that wasn't their policy. She wanted me to stand in 2 lines ! I've never had to do that in my experience when I shop @ any T.J.MAXX especially when I am in fact purchasing something at the jewelry counter which has a register already. Why turn away a paying customer? She seemed smugly pleased with herself denying service & justified. So I purchased just my ring & left feeling COMPLETELY disappointed in T.J.MAXX which lost money on the account of a sales associate who imposed such inconvenience & attitude. Terrible! The manager Carolyn is nasty and accused me of trying to return a necklace that was not the correct item. It was 80.00! I received the online order and was shocked to see the poor quality of their jewelry. I have my receipt and went to return the items. The checkout people are always so kind but this African American manager was rude with a nasty attitude. THEN she told me I was only entitled to a gift card. With a receipt!?!! Do not deal with her PLEASE! I asked Carolyn for her managers name and left warning the customers what they're getting themselves into! I have spent tens of thousands of dollars there and today was the breaking point! Please go somewhere else. I asking everyone to boycott that store. I will be dealing with her supervisor and WILL get the money I am owed. My goal is to have her written up and get a new organized, clean, and kind manager that follows their policy. Today I went in to literally just to see if they had anything I might like nothing truly in mind. I found a purse I thought was nice had a stain I approached an employee (skinny dark hair slight accent) asked for help she first ignored me then when I said excuse me can I get help please again she barely acknowledged me, I asked if she could please check to see if they could remove the stain as I would like to purchase the purse ( yes I could've gone and tried to wipe it off however I have my dominant arm in a sling due to an injury) well she said I could ask the cashier once I pay (so I got annoyed as the only reason I asked was one the line was huge I didn't want to get up there then cause a delay and two if it didn't come off I didn't want to purchase it) so I asked again can you ask a manager well a shorter lady came looked at the purse and said well we can try ( again very short very minimal effort ) well I ended up leaving the purse which I really liked but the service was horrible. I understand they are busy since it was packed but it's not my fault and don't feel like they should take out their frustration on the client. I am a huge tjmaxx fan however this definitely left a bad experience I doubt I'll be returning to this store. read more

Went here to look around and kill time while waiting for ULTA to open at 10 am. TJ Max was open at 9:30 am. Went to look at the clothes. They didn't have anything I liked. I do like their shoes and purses. I think most of their stuff is over priced. I'd rather find my clothes at Ross's. My husband did find our daughter a couple of shirts that were $5.00 each. The store was clean and the lady at the register was nice. Check out was fast and there were hardly any people in the store. read more

TJMAXX Corporate leadership should take a look at the management from the Store Manager in Menifee, Ca. She is not pleasant. She closes the store down early and apparently it is very difficult for her to deliver customer service. In times like these, folks should be thankful they have a job, deliver outstanding service, and take care of customers. She stands at the door, fails to smile and after my interaction with her and observing a few others...she needs some assistance on how to be professional and accommodating. She made the experience of purchasing a massive piece of furniture very easy from start to finish. When we got the furniture home we showed pictures to friends and family and they were blown away at how solid and beautiful the piece was. We have since become firm, patient believers in what you can find if you are patient and willing to move items yourself. Finally, there have been several items we have bought since other pieces and have learned a few things: red tags are sale items, red tags can be marked down from 'red to red' , which essentially means the item is ridiculously cheap, and yellow tags are final mark down. Although this is a fun place to shop, it's not much of a discount from target or walmart. If you want to save money, go to Ross. There's one within a mile away. I only shop here when I can't find it at Ross so try there first. Tj maxx is definitely nicer and more organized than Ross, but you really don't get much of a discount. Besides the prices being higher than ross, this really is a nice store in a great location in menifee. The store is always clean and organized well. Whenever I walk in, I end up finding something perfect for my house or my dogs. Don't really shop for clothes here but they have a lot of household decor. Fun place to just walk around if you have time to kill! Staff is also really nice and helpful. read more
