I have been shopping at this Macy's location for years. There are some people that are just great in what they do, other not so well. For MAC girls, If I could give negative stars, I would. Very unprofessional, rude and definitely need proper training. I use to shop from MAC, that's no longer a thing because they lack skills to serve customers well which should be a priority. This review is mainly for Bare Minerals Counter Manager Jessica Garcia which went above and beyond to help me with what I needed. I have never had such a great experience as much as I did that day and it was during the holidays knowing how hectic and busy it gets. I bought my mom a $300 knife set from here for Christmas and when we opened the box this morning and it had no knives! Just an empty block. Somebody must have bought the set before, stole the knives and returned it and Macy's just never checked. Shame on Macy's! We purchased my mother in law a knife set for Christmas earlier this month, we wrapped it and brought it all the way to her for Christmas. She opened the box up and bam the knifes were completely GONE! This was an over $300 knife set! My mother in law was excited to Make Christmas dinner with her new set. Either they didn't check the box after someone returned it or I'm just not sure how an entire set would go missing! Macy's do a better job on your merchandise! This is seriously outrageous. Soooooo very disappointed! My husband is an amazing shopper and purchases pretty much all of my handbags and shoes from Macy's in Temecula at the promenade. We have never had any issues except that it is usually quite busy and may take awhile to try on different sizes but never bad service until now. He purchased a beautiful pair of Michael Kors heels for our anniversary but when I opened them they had clearly been worn previously and a small piece of leather was missing in the front. We took them back to the store hoping to exchange them for a pair that was not damaged. Eduardo " the sales associate " insisted that he was the person that sold them to my husband and that he would NEVER sell shoes like that , insinuating that it was my fault and that I had worn the shoes and damaged them myself. First of all, I would never do this. I have way more class than that. If I wore a pair of shoes and damaged them, I would be taking them to my shoe repair place not back to the store that I bought them from trying to scam a new pair. Basically he was calling my husband and myself liars and trying to defend himself. I worked in the Customer service industry for years and know that this is not a proper way to handle this sort of situation. Today I was looking for a specific cologne as a gift. Macy's carried it but didn't have any in stock. Heather offered to check other Macy's locations and found one in stock in Riverside. Then she offered to check surrounding stores in general, even though it wasn't Macy's and she was able to find it in stock at another store. She had them set it aside so it would be ready for me when I got there. When I arrived they knew who I was and already had it rang up ready to go. It is very rare these days for someone to go out of their way to help a customer in this manner, even when they did not get the sale. Being in sales myself I found this gesture unexpected and incredible. I am truly awed by this experience. We took our grandson, 7, to Macy's Jewelry department so that he could buy his mom a Christmas gift. He had been doing chores and saving his money. Being only 7, he didn't understand how shopping in a store worked, having manners and respect, how to shop etc. He did great, looking at everything to decide on just the right thing for his mom. I knew he didn't have enough money, so while distracted with by his grandpa, I spoke with Zora(?) at the Jewelry country and explained that my grandson was to pay for the gift but I would give her my card and pretend he was purchasing. She went above and beyond to make this such a sweet special moment. He learned so much that day, especially the kindness of the "lady at the store." It felt like how store used to be back in the day. Lisa at Macy's was GREAT!!! I was interested in buying ONE couch but was told I had to pay a delivery fee for three pieces since it was a sectional couch that came in three pieces. See picture below...as you can see it's ONE couch!!! It was ONE couch. I told Lisa I would forgo buying the couch and paying for a delivery fee for three pieces based upon General Principle since it was ONE couch. I know it's Macy's, so they probably don't give a crap about Yelp, but whatever. This is about the Macy's Men's store at the Temecula Mall. This place is unbelievably bad. The service is just mind bogglingly terrible. I had two pairs of pants in my hands that I've already tried on and liked. I was going to buy them until I saw a third pair that was on sale. It looked nice, but was a different brand so I picked it up and headed towards a fitting room. I had just gotten out of a fitting room, but it was now taken by another customer so I walked over to the Levi's section to use the fitting room there. I was stopped by a Macy's worker who asked if she could check me out. I said as soon as I try on this last pair of pants I just found, then yes I'll come check out with her. She tells me no. "No fitting room. Fitting room closed." I said ok, I'll go to another fitting room, thinking that it was just her section that was closed. She says no. "All fitting room closed. No try on!" This was at 8:25pm on a Saturday. They close at 9:00pm. I looked at her and looked at my watch and she immediately repeats herself, "no try on! All fitting room closed!". I asked her again, "all? All the fitting rooms are closed? But you don't close for another..." she interrupts me, "close in 30! All fitting room closed! No try on!" I said ok, and just handed her the three items I was going to buy and walked out. This place doesn't value customers and will actively push you away from buying their items. Ms. Ari ( not sure of the spelling) from the Chanel Make -up department gave me a superb service. Explained well the types and suitable match for my budget and what will bring best return for my money as an awesome gift for Christmas. She is still courteous, after the not-so-nice customers who she previously helped didn't deter her for helping me nicely. By the way, this department almost carry the new released product by Chanel. To put cherry on top, she gave me samples for both of my purchase with the illustrious chanel logo bag where we don't normally received from a Macy's department. I truly enjoyed my shopping spree here. Who ever picked my white elephant will definitely has a smile on their face when they received this. She helped my husband find the perfect suit for our daughter's wedding next weekend and I've got to say he isn't the easiest of sizes to fit. This is one of the nicest and cleanest Macy's I have ever been to!! Everything is well organized, and the dressing rooms smell clean and look clean. The entire store looks well taken care of, and everything is in its place. I usually see dirt, and clothing sorta thrown around in other locations so I was really pleasantly surprised at how this location looked. Even the clearance section was clean, organized and not a hot mess of hangers. It was actually fun and enjoyable to look through the racks. The staff here is also a lot nicer then what I'm used to. They actually smile, and ask you if you need help!! Every other location I've been to, staff is nowhere to be seen, and if you do find someone they look annoyed at having to help you. Not here!! They staff actually walk up to you and ask if you are finding what you need and if they can help!! I love this Macy's!!! read more

However a lady named Angela In the home department showed nothing short of exemplary customer service, she was extremely kind, friendly, she held conversation, answered all questions, she smiled the whole time, and she was very knowledgeable! she told my daughter happy birthday, she is so memorable! With all this racist stuff going on, it's so nice to come in contact with and do business with people like Angela! She deserves a promotion, she should be training people on how to treat customers! There needs to be more support from management to their staff. The staff are told to uphold the store policies, like the return policies, for example. When they do, many customers ask to speak to a manager, believing they are entitled because "I've been a cUsToMeR for yEaRs." Instead of the management supporting the staff that is upholding the corporate store policies, they will 100% cave into the unreasonable request they've been presented with by the entitled customer. This makes the employee that is only doing what they are told look bad. It is demeaning. Management...support your staff, not the Karens. read more

It's a true insult dealing with Macy's customer service . I am supposed to be a Platinum member . I returned some furniture back to them recently. It was defective. They send their own experts and they also agreed it was defective. Unfortunately I already paid the full amount for the furniture on my Macy's card . So for the last 3 weeks I been having the very worse experience in my life time with their customer service to get my money back . Macys outsources their customer service outside the country in order to save on labor. They hired the absolute biggest liars , scammers totally unprofessional people . They have no clue how to handle Macy's customers. Every time I talk to some one on the phone he or she would give me a totally different answer all they want is to get me off the phone . They hung up on me multiple times . Today I spoke to what they call a supervisor she told me that she is going to have her supervisor call me asap it's been 6 hours of nothing. So to Macy's CEOs yes you save on money for labor but in the mean while you don't realize that you are loosing valuable clients . It's really sad . I got my wife some perfume here and was surprised how aggressive the women salespeople were in the fragrance section. I've felt more comfortable in a used car lot on a holiday weekend. While I appreciate salespeople who are attentive, the women here use deceptive sales tactics like saying they don't have the smaller bottle in stock so that you're forced into the buying the larger bottle. I had one woman sell me the larger bottle of Coco Chanel ($140+) and when I left I thought to check the Macy's website and sure enough they had the smaller bottles in stock at this location. On my way out I stopped at the men's fragrance section and the moment I touched a bottle of cologne I swear a Macy's sales rep magically appeared like a genie out of a bottle. She was hovering over my shoulder and desperately looking for any buying signs. If looking for fragrance do yourself a favor and just go to sephora. read more

I used to work at Macy's down in UTC back in 2007 so I know how the return policy works and the sales and such. It's still one of the best places to shop for my husband. A few weeks ago, my husband and i came here to get him some new sweaters. They didn't have the size he wanted, so the lady went to the back room to look and got him one in his size. We went to the woman's department (separate location in the mall) and my husband found some clothes he liked on me. I tried them on and ended up buying them as well. My husband's Macy's card was expired so he couldn't use it, but the cashier gave us the 20% coupon anyway since she saw we were going to use our Macy's card. I thought that was really nice of her. To top it off, we went to our car and realized neither one of us had the keys so we went back to the men's department and the lady that helped us with the sweaters had them at the register for us. read more
