Macy's - Always clean - Department Stores Near Me - Temecula, California

We don't have Nordstrom's out here so Macy's is my only option and not too bad I must add. They have a vast selection of Free People clothing (my fav) - I don't have to drive to South Coast all the time. They've also recently brought in DKNY and Rachel Roy - yay! Adidas and Nike selections have grown as well. Aside from the above and Bobbi Brown counters I don't have much to say. Girls upstairs are always so nice, apply whatever coupon that can be applied to my purchase and tend to go the extra mile. Minus one star because the dressing room (by free people) tends to smell like pee (yuck!). Oh and the escalator has been broken for two months - now that's RIDICULOUS! Won't deduct another star though because I normally park and stay upstairs. read more

Sort version of my review: They need more staff. We has to wait for over twenty-five minutes to be helped at the watch counter. The staff they do have treat you like the "Vancome Lady" from an old Mad TV skit. If customer service, or being treat respectfully is important to you. Skip this Macy's location at the Temecula Promenade. Long version: Every year for Christmas my hubby gets a $100 Macy's gift card from his employer. And every year for the last ten years, my hubby slides it into my Christmas stocking. I save them, so I always have at least two available. I decided to use this years Macy's card to update my Fitbit. After spending a great deal of time time researching, I decided to purchase a Fitbit Charge 3 online through Macy's. But, for whatever reason, Macy's online did not like my trying to use two gift cards. It was 2:00am; and I was not going to call Macy's customer service. So, the following day I went over to this Macy's location in the Temecula Promenade. My husband and I stood at the unmanned watch counter for over twenty minutes. Which was not a big deal because it gave my hubby time to compare the Fitbit Charge3 and the the Fitbit Versa2. Like I said, I had done my research the previous night. But, my hubby after comparing the two thought I should go big and get the Versa2. Well, after the twenty minute drive from our house to the nearest Macy's, and now having waited to be helped for twenty minutes. My spouse and I both had to use the restroom. So, we wandered away, and during our walk to the restroom I noted the super cute fitness clothes. After our return from the restroom, we were delighted as there were two ladies behind the counter. And while they both helped a single customer for an additional five minutes, I decided that I should listen to my hubby and get the more expensive Versa2 with all the additional features. However, when the sales clerk (Joann) made her way over to "help" us... Well, I could tell from her demeanor and body posture that my husband and I were a bother to her. When my husband asked to see both the Charge3 and the Versa2, she looked me up and down. It was clear that by the way I was dressed, Vancome Joann thought I was too under dressed to shop Macy's. Vancome Joann pulled three boxes out from under the counter. A Charge3 w/white sports band, a rose-gold Charge3 w/gray band, and a Versa2 w/jacquard band. Vancome Joann declared these were the only three she had in stock. When I pointed to the display case behind me with other options, she blew me off. So, let me make it clear. I did not need to see ether model. I had researched late into the evening/early morning. Then I had stood waiting for assistance for a total time of twenty-five minutes, comparing the different futures with my spouse. Yet, I turned the boxes on their side and pretended to read them...while my husband asked Vancome Joann various question, to which she replied flippantly to all. I finally explain to my husband myself, that the sales clerk (Vancome Joann), couldn't really answer any questions because she did not really have any knowledge about the product. To which Vancome Joann said, "I think that this one will fit your attire better", shoving the rose-gold Charge3 w/gray band at me. That is the exact one that I came to purchase, the one I was trying to buy online. And I had quite enough of Vancome Joann, so I agreed. After all, Vancome Joann had just lost the women's department of Macy's over one hundred and fifteen dollars. At least fifty dollars difference in the Charge3 and the Versa2. Twenty-nine dollars for the sports band, I was going to buy. And thirty-six dollars, I would have spent in the active wear section on my way out. When checking out Vancome Joann ask me to sign that I did not want the protection plan. I was tempted to sign, "never offered". But, I signed my name just to get away from Vancome Joann, and her poor customer service. read more

They manager messed up our tux rental , and had the nerve to tell me that he was unable to use his private jet to fly to Houston to get my son a new tux since PROM was the next day. He refused to give me the regional managers phone number so I could contact him directly to see how we could fix the problem. I want to point out that another store associate pointed out that suit that we selected ran small and everyone knew that you needed to order a size up. It's funny how I took him to the store and they did the measurements ,I did not do these measurements at home. the manager refused to offer a workable solution, and only a refund. Prom is tomorrow!! So after I persisted and kept talking why my son had me on speaker, because can I also know that the manager refused to get on the phone the store phone to speak with me. He offered to take the buttons off when the suit jacket shoulders was way too tight. It had the nerve to say that that's how the guys wear them these days. And accused my son of gaining 2 pounds in his chest since he took his measurements on Monday, people today is Friday!! I really love coming to this Macy's for the men's department. I'm pretty happy with each department from shoes, the suit department and the cologne department. To find the best deals you really need to look around. The store needs a little bit of work but other then that its pretty clean. Sometimes the dressing rooms can be a little messy and one dressing room has a foosball table. They have sales just about every week and sometimes the prices are even lower than what they show. I just bought a white Calvin Klein sport coat and the price was amazing. Some of the employees are pretty nice some not so nice. The nice ones that I know and yrs I'm going to say names. I like Shawn, Ruth and Tahyme. I'm sure there are some other nice employees but these are the ones I know of. I love Macy's and I will be back again, again and again. read more

I purchased my blouses and the clerk couldn't even bother to say thank you, let alone greet me. I have not been to Macy's in quite a while, but I was pleasantly surprised today! It's difficult to find clothes; as I wear plus size womens clothing. Most stores have a very small section if any at all and never carry fashionable brands. At Macy's in the Temecula Promenade Mall, the plus size womens clothing section was a decent size and carried brands I haven't found elsewhere; such as Nike, Levi's and Calvin Klein! read more

I needed help with a new blush, I was a bit hesitant to ask for help, her makeup was natural and was the opposite of what I wear, which is heavy lol She was extremely polite and knowledgeable! I bought a pair of Michael Kors shoes they were too small so I needed to exchange them. I lost my receipt and I save my box until my husband accidentally threw the box away. I know I didn't have proof of purchase but on the website it says if you explain the situation they would exchange sage the item but no they would not even listen. After buy over US$ 5k in jewelry, one of the rings needed to be resized. Going to store and showing the ring to a lady that works there, the bad service started. She did not want to know the order number but verbally asking me how much I paid for.. then she said if I bought during black Friday there is no warranty and US$ 50 would be charged.. then she asked me my phone number.. given and the order did not came out, then she asked me the UPC number... I told her "really? You are asking how much I paid, now the UPC number, why you just don't take a look on the order number as I suggested?". During all this time the emphaty was zero, took the ring wrapped in a cheap plastic, gave a paper and with you even look at me said "expect a call in 5 weeks"... Horrible service, horrible empathy, zero respect for the customer. I do not know what I had in mind to buy jewelry from Macy's instead a real jewelry store as I usually do. Don't come here. I went to Macy's to buy clothes for my birthday. When I got here I really needed to use the restroom. So I went into there bathroom where I was meet by a scene that looks scarier then a horror scene. The toilet seats are peeling, they look like they are from the 1800s and beat with a bat. Is this what Macy's thinks about there customers? The seats are tan. Are you guys really trying to persuade customers not to use the restroom to save money? This review is for the men's shoe department. The last time I checked, shoe sales were commission based. Back in the day I worked in commission based retail sales. Customers are the life blood of commission sales. Customers were always greeted promptly. Even when busy with other customers. I was in the store on my son's birthday. I always get him a sensible gift and some fun presents. Shoes are one of his sensible presents. He is tough on his shoes as he walks a lot as a college student and skate boarder. This kid needs good shoes We were in the shoe department looking at different styles. There was maybe one other customer there. We were clearly looking at the Vans. We really just needed the right size. The salesman walked past us TWICE. No greeting nothing. I literally had to practically side tackle the guy when he was about to ignore us for the THIRD time! This guy makes the Dude from Big Lebowski look like a motivated stock broker. This guy acted like we were more of an annoyance than a customer. We asked for size 11 1/2 but he kept bringing out size 12. Finally I said " Can you please just bring out a few styles in the RIGHT size?" uh. Sure...his response. After I basically did his job for him, we found a pair of Vans in the right size. We paid $65 for the shoes. I don't know if this guy gets commission but let me tell you Macy's. He didn't earn it. You should send me a paycheck for that sale. I did all of the work. Some customers would have simply walked away. This was the worst service I've had at a retail store in a long time. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE MAC INSIDE OF MACY'S -- I was in town for my Best Friend's wedding and wanted my make-up professionally done. I've always gotten my make-up done at other MACs and didn't see a reason to change that. When I got to the store I was greeted promptly. The employee who helped me checked the schedule and then sat me on a make-up chair to wait. I was about 15 minutes early and my artist was not there yet. Once Antonio got there he was super friendly and attentive. I showed him the photo of how I wanted my make-up done and we discussed it briefly. Antonio is VERY creative and takes great care with his work. He was easy to talk to and made sure I was fine with the colors he chose and the process as he went along. My make-up looked amazingly flawless. And most importantly, I felt PRETTY my BFF's BIG DAY! In my opinion, when it comes to a big event and a big day, stick with what you know. And also, I love that with MAC you buy product as your make-up application fee. That way you walk away with products that you likely already love and can use again. A win-win! read more

My OCD has me needing to balance this a bit, so from here on out (this review only)- no more capital letters. this macy's is probably the worst i've ever been in. in fact, i've even been to a few jcpenny outlets that are nicer than this macy's. why is it divided into two stores? one store has men's and homegoods and the other one that's clear across the mall has women's and make-up and i don't know what else because i didn't need to walk much further in to know i'd only be further disappointed by the teeny bopper selection and staff. i wanted to book an appt to get my make-up done at mac but their counters are super small and they had some sort of event that wasn't really an event (super confusing) so the earliest appt they could get me in was 5 and i needed to be at a wedding at 4... no bueno. i guess this macys fit right in line with the rest of the mall which looked more upscale from the outside but defo discount on the inside- which i'm not complaining about at all but it wasn't what i'd thought it was. my advice: skip it. read more

Temecula Mall isn't high-end, so don't expect to find any high-end designers at Macy's. They do cater to their population segment however. Temecula isn't really a high-end town either. Yes you have your wineries and a sprinkling of good restaurants but you also have a lot of bro's that drive raised trucks here too. So back to Macy's. This review is only on the Men's side of the store. The most expensive lines you'll find here are Polo and Ben Sherman. There are a lot of less expensive brands like Levi's, Etnies, American Rag, Ecko, etc. to choose from as well. I suggest shopping here if you're not ready for Nordstrom. You'll find plenty of good deals and "Every Day Values" (EDV). I also suggest shopping here on a weeknight. There aren't many sales associates working so you'll have all the privacy you'll ever want. I like being left alone when I'm shopping, but that's because I know what I'm doing. If you don't, then you should come by on a weekend when there's more floor coverage. It's really 2.5... read more

The shoe section is pretty much the only redeeming quality about this Macy's. However, there are NEVER enough sales associates to help people get sizes or answer questions about shoes or prices. The clearance section is pretty good, I've never seen it picked over like at other Macy's locations. Until the Nordstrom Rack opened, this was pretty much the only place to get decent shoes in Temecula. The clothing sections are so difficult for me to navigate and of course, there is never anyone around to ask. I am happy taking my money elsewhere. I made the mistake of purchasing a shirt here out of desperation while visiting my family. Not only were the dressing rooms a mess, the staff half-asleep and half-witted, and the selection as poor as I have ever seen, but the genius I found to finally help me make my misguided purchase left the security tag on my shirt. Now that I'm back home (over an hour from the next closest Macy's) and have noticed the tag you'd think a simple call to Macy's customer service would resolve my unusable merchandise, right? Well think again. First there is no Macy's customer service phone number to call. Second, you have to fill out an online customer experience survey on their website and leave your phone number. Still no phone call. Stuck with a shirt I can't wear that I don't think I'd want to wear anyway. Never again. I'm sticking with Nordstom, thank you very much. read more

I love the sales at Macy's! I only come in for the sales otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford it. I would rate 3 to 4 stars but give it a 5 because of a few of your associates. One in particular goes above and beyond. She always calls me by name as I walk through the door. If I haven't been around in a while she notices and asks how things are going and that she hasn't seen me in a while. So Macy's Temecula your 5 star is mainly due to your associate named Lacri for outstanding customer service over the last year or 2 that I have met her. The others in her department are also very good. They will all take their time to look up items to order if they don't have them in stock at their location. I will say the 3 to 4 star rating would be for 3/4 of the rest of staff (other departments) not giving these options or taking the time to answer questions you may have, or even taking the time to point you in the proper direction. I think you should send Lacri and some of the coworkers around to teach the others these skills needed to keep people coming back to your store. I tell her she is so nice and helpful and she says she gets that compliment a lot. I told her not everyone in the store is the same. She responded "They should be, we are here to make you happy and help assist you in any way" If I look through the store I always end up back in their section even for just opinions. Our experience was not good to say the least ;-) So I woke up wondering, why do we spend our cash at this Macy's or at any Macy's for that matter? Places like Nordstrom and Bloomingdales obviously invest in their employees beyond the mediocre level and takes the initiative to provide customer service training that emphasizes "quality control and excellence" so that their customers don't feel sorry for making a purchase. With that said... we've noticed each and every time their team always knows what to do! Without us having to bend over backwards just to get them to to do their job.... Hmmm... it's pathetic when a conglomerate such as MACY'S don't allocate their funds adequately to invest in proper training for their employees. We can tell that their employees simply do not understand that revenue is generated through cashflow activities during business hours, and that it is required to cover payroll expenses... Think About It! Back to the Temeku Macy's! This is not the first time the sales associates at this Macy's seemed a bit weary about doing their job. Nevertheless, we have dealt with one to many sales associates on the floor that appeared more than a little less eager to provide assistance or to accept our payment for a transaction. At the end of the day, Macy's needs it customers not consumers to come... and come again! Although, Macy's could be considered as a monopoly, we're willing to find to search for alternatives. MACY'S CORPORATE: The less than okay service was provided by Donna working Men's Dept (Temecula, CA) and the cashier working the other register in the same area, around mid-afternoon. Our chief complaints were: excessive wait time, lack of customer acknowledgement, sales associate lack of knowledge regarding hold policies and being told that held items were not there without checking first. RESULT: After patiently waiting and being insulted... We went on our way with this in mind ----Donna checks for our hold after being convinced, rings us up and out, and why all the hassle? I was in a lot of pain physically and didn't feel like I could take another step to try and find the exit in which I had entered the store... First, DO NOT BUY the worrynomore warranty is covers nothing and is not an extension of the manufacturers warranty. The Macys agents sell it as extension of the warranty and was sold to me as such when I bought these couches. When I called worrynomore they ask you to explain the problem, they record you...then they tell you you're not covered. On their website you cannot put any comments and the service is horrible. Basically the agent hung up on me when I complained about her service level! Second, I paid $4200 dollars for these couches and foam is starting to crumble and the ottoman is starting to sink on 1 side from very light usage. The leather is holding but the structure is bad quality. Macys left me high and dry because manufacturers warranty is only 2 years. Im still shocked! I've spent over $20k in furniture with macys throughout the years and blown away by the fact that they are willing to lose my business over this...Jeromes and Mor offer extensions of manufacturers warranty...I'm sick to my stomach over this... read more

Not happy at all. I think it is so unprofessional and unsanitary to sell makeup that is used, especially when it is tucked away in a cabinet for buying customers and it's not suppose to be used. It sucks because I drove all the way home to later find out I can't use it. They should give you a returning discount for their mess up. Even when you call it's not like they can do any thing. This location saved the day for me! I was staying in town for a wedding that I was a maid if honor in. And like a good maid of honor I came with everything I needed; except my full new bottle of MAC foundation! So I walked in this store and was approached immediately by an employee. She didn't seem too pleasant but it was awfully crowded in there and she seemed a little flustered. I explained that I'm in town for only one night, forgot my foundation, and asked if there was any way way I could just get a couple of pumps of the foundation in a sample case. Her only question, "was what's your color?" Got enough foundation for two days and was out after only being in the store for two minutes! If I needed too I would have bought another bottle. But I'm glad I didn't have to and they were very quick. read more

Macy's always has sales, and this weekend was no exception. Stopped to shop for a bit while waiting for our table at a restaurant across the street, my brother and I came across the discount rack. And I know you all know what I'm talking about. That rack that is not the 25% off tack, but the 50% or 65% clearance rack. The rack we all love to find that amazing deal on. And yes, found some jeans that were 50% and then another 20% using the WOW pass. They have two floors of clothes and home appliance items. But let's be real, most of us always wander around until we get to that magical rack that we hope to find that crazy deal on. I was glad to again shop at this MACYS after months of closure. I did not find here, however, the signage or emphasis on masks etc. that I expected due to Covid restrictions. Small shops in this same mall had signage that indicated masks were required for service. In addition, I encountered individuals and groups not wearing masks in the store in spite of the State mandate. Of course confrontation and policing is not conducive to sales but corporate responsibility both to the public and employees requires action given the times. This is for the MAC outside of the mall. I am very interested in MAC products and have visited the shop with the intent of buying (and have bought) things on multiple occasions. I can't speak about all the associates there, but there is one particular lady that I end up being "helped" by often. I don't know what it is, but it feels like she is judging me the entire time I'm in the store. When I speak with her, I can't help but feel like she thinks I'm an idiot. I like the store, but I hate to buy from this MAC because of this lady. I don't know if this and the inside MAC store swap associates... but the thought of having to interact with this lady makes me not want to buy from the store.
