Staff was helpful and the kids had a pretty good time. :) The only reason for -1 star was the gross floor. I know it's a studio and there should be some mess on the floor like paint and dust from the ceramics... but there were dust bunnies and human hair and I just know that if I had a crawler the kid would be black. I love this place; quiet, clean, inviting. Lexie is super helpful and always friendly. Once recently my sister and I went in and took forever trying to choose what to paint (there were so many options) and there was a group of young children scheduled to be in the separate work room. The women working at PE had everything set up for them, consoled three overwhelmed little ones and still made time to come and check on us several times and help us with color and glaze choices. This is such a rad place to go and get your creativity on! I take my kids, ages 9 and 13, and it's always fun and a nice change of pace - Meaning quiet time lol. Music is always good and many options on items and colors to choose from. Side note- I got the great idea that I could bring my 1.5 year old and let her chill in a highchair. I called ahead to make sure lil ones were okay to bring. They said no problem at all. Once there I noticed there were no highchairs or anywhere to seat my lil one except on my lap. Which was impossible to do while attempting my masterpiece. She ended up being "That Kid", throwing brushes and paper and not wanting to just sit. After 2 too many dirty looks from the others who were probably enjoying their kid-friendly quiet time, (I totally get it), I had the kids wrap it up and told the ladies that I wasn't able to complete mine. They fully understood and offered to let me take it home, and return whenever I could, and they would waive the $6 studio fee for next time. Stoked! Ended up going in 3 months later and letting my kiddos finish up Daddy's Green Bay themed coffee cup. Love this place, love the customer service, but would highly recommend not bringing a feisty toddler such as mine :) read more

A wonderful place to create your very own masterpiece. First time in for me. I actually went in to buy and paint a tile in honor of Terry Smith. The staff was awesome and very friendly and so helpful. What a kind a generous thing to do in honoring Terry Smith. They opened their doors to the community to Honor this young boy. I painted both a fish spoon rest here and am in the process of working on a tile. Although Painted Earth is more of a self-serve shop than similar pottery painting places, they have plenty of pieces and paints in stock. However, what sets this place apart from the rest is Crystal. When I was figuring out how to paint my fish, she taught me how to sgraffito step by step. Later, she demonstrated techniques that I could use to make leaves on pottery and how to create a bubble effect. I am not an artsy-craftsy girl, but I feel inspired to come back to learn more painting techniques thanks to Crystal's mini lessons. read more

First let me start by saying that I'm not what I would call artsy. We had a youth fun trip here and it was great. The staff here is very helpful, they will answer any question you may have, explain how the paints are going to react and help you understand what your finished piece might look like. You can spend more money then you planned very easily and you should plan on a couple of hours, but it's a lot of fun and you will end up with a one of a kind piece. read more

I love this place! They offer so many different classes starting at 2 years old! They offer a Paint-A-Story for ages 2-5 years old the first Tuesday of every month, starting at 9 am . The parents get to bring their children and they listen to a quick story then the kids get to paint something that goes along with the story. I just heard about this, so I have not had to opportunity to take my son yet , but I have seen the pictures that they post on their facebook page and it looks sooo cute! They also provide snacks for the kiddos! They also offer Summers Camps, Date Nights, Ladies- Wine night out the last Friday or Saturday of every month, and more!! They are super friendly and laid back about you bringing coffee or food with you while you paint. read more

My granddaughter just finished a three day art camp, she absolutely loved it! The employees were friendly and upbeat. Signing yours kids in and out was a plus. They truly cared about the kids. Next week I will take my other granddaughter in just so she can paint. She has already changed her mind on what she wants to paint, because their inventory is huge. read more

Went here for the first time ever on a Friday. It was my turn to plan date-night and I surprised the hubs with this choice, a good surprise. We entered and picked a table to sit at. We then went and picked our ceramic items to paint-I did a platter and he chose a milk carton. The prices of the items are on the expensive side but I think it's basically the same as other places. The employee explained how the whole thing works and we got to it. They have a very wide array of color choices to pick from as well as different types of paints for different effects once fired. We arrived about 7:30 and got started on painting at about 8, they close at 10 so we probably should have gotten there a bit earlier to have more time before closing. We went right up to closing time, and a few minutes passed, but the employee working was nice and patient with us. We gave her our items once completed, she rang us up, and we will pick-up our items in a week--seems like a decent turn-around time. The place is a good size with many tables so you don't have to be crowded among other patrons. I imagine earlier in the day and on weekends it can get more crowded. Definitely had a good time and will return to paint something else another time. read more

My girls attended "kids night out." Seems there were too many kids to one adult. I watched the kids run and push each other to wash their hands and return to their seats, from the window outside the studio. The teacher seemed preoccupied with something else, and wasn't able to be in two places at once- there needs to be more than one person in the kids class. ($30 per child, which includes dinner, pop and their craft.) We were told the necklaces they made would be available for pick up on a certain day, we went to pick up our pieces, but were told they weren't ready but that we should have received a phone call/message to let us know they wouldn't be ready- which... we didn't receive a phone call, voice message, email, text... message in a bottle. The staff isn't as friendly or as helpful as I would have hoped. Especially when spending so much on pottery. I would go back, if my kids asked. However, I won't ask my children if they'd like to go back. read more

Went last Monday to get a special gift for daddy from my 4 year old. Told it was going to be ready by the next Monday. I go today to pick it up (Tuesday) and the girl told me that it wasn't ready because I requested a special wording. I was never told that when I ordered it. I mentioned to the guy that was there that I needed it by Tuesday the latest (my husbands birthday). WTF! she calls the manager of course not in front of me because she didn't want to disrupt other customers. Comes back and tells me that they would offer to give me $5 refund for the wording but that my piece was not going to be ready until Thursday. Do what am I supposed to give my husband? F**** $5? She seemed more concerned that I would talk loud or make a scene. You better make sure that my piece is at my home on Friday because if not I will go again to complain to your store, I guess Saturday's are busy days right? By the way, fake nice woman, you didn't even ask me for my phone number. A total disappointment, now my daughter asks me why can't we give daddy his present? Because a s***** crew cold not do what they were supposed to do. read more
