Learning how to use the wheel; so fun!

I highly recommend Olas Ceramics and its master artist and owner, Kyle! He creates such a cool, friendly vibe, and it is super fun to learn how to work with clay by hand and on the wheel. :) Kyle made my daughter and me feel right at home in his bright, uplifting studio! There are multiple wheels available so the studio can accommodate larger classes or groups, but this day, it was just us, and it was such a treat to have one on one instruction! We learned so much! Kyle is a wonderful teacher and very encouraging. We had such a great time and came away with two pieces each that we both enjoyed creating & feel great about! Whether you go on your own or for a special occasion like a birthday party, I highly recommend booking a class at Olas Ceramics!

1st ever pottery class. The owners expertise and patience are top-notch. Can't wait to go back! - A woman and a man are seated at separate pottery wheels in a ceramics studio, smiling at the camera. The studio has a plain wall with three wooden shelves, two of which hold potted plants. The floor has pottery clay splatters, and there are various pottery tools and supplies on the wheels. The woman wears a white apron and casual clothing, while the man wears a tie-dye shirt, shorts, and flip-flops.

Doing rad ceramics

Had the best experience at Olas ceramic studio! Had a really fun experience with Kyle and his team. Olas is such a fun and enjoyable environment with good music, good energy and great vibes. I didn't want to leave. Definitely going back soon!

Two children are seated at a white table in a ceramics studio, each working on clay pottery pieces. The girl on the left is smiling at the camera, while the girl on the right is looking at her work. The table holds pottery tools, a water bottle, and small baskets with supplies. The background features a white wall with wooden pegboards and a hanging gray apron.

We took our granddaughter and her friend here for a birthday date and we all had a great time playing with clay. Kyle and Haley were so helpful and friendly and made it a great experience. We look forward to going back to the studio to glaze our creations and spend more time with the wonderful people there!

Working the wheel! - A man with long hair, wearing a white t-shirt, cap, and dark pants, sits on a stool in a ceramics studio, smiling and making a gesture with his hands. In front of him, there is a pottery wheel with clay and a bucket of slip or glaze. The studio features wooden shelves with various pottery pieces, plants, and decorative items on the wall behind the counter. A woman is working at the counter in the background, and part of another person is visible on the right side of the image.

What a vibe! Not only did I make cool things, but I learned a lot during the process. Kyle made it easy and enjoyable. Can't wait to come back and paint my creations. If you're thinking about stopping by, don't think.. do it. It's fun for friends and family. Also a great gift to give somebody.

You pick out the unfinished piece you want, gather your paint and supplies from the shelf, and then spend a couple hours painting them and turn them in for final firing. The pieces are priced reasonably -- it includes all supplies and the final firing. My friend chose a mug that holds a cookie on the bottom and decided to transform it into a likeness of her pug dog-- see the photo... Mine was much more tame-- I picked out a small geometric vase and ended up painting it an ombre shade of an earthy purple. We sat and enjoyed the experience and they offer a concierge type service-- they cleaned up everything for us! Very chill and fun evening- will do again .

The selection was low the day we painted, but on the day we picked up the selection was plenty with well stocked shelves. Brushes and cups of water are already neatly set up at the tables. The only thing you have to do is get your paint in the bottled containers. Little hands may need assistance with this or leave it to the adults to prep the paint dish. I really like the space in the Art Cafe. There is plenty of room between each table. It may be different with more customers (we were the only ones on this weekday visit). But even then, I think there is more plenty of space you don't have to worry bumping into someone. I find all ceramic cafes to be a bit pricey but this is something to do once in awhile. I find it therapeutic and I love to watch the kids paint and be creative with their piece. Great bonding time with someone or good, quiet creative time for just yourself. Go check them out.
