I had never sketched anything in my life but on this day you wouldn't have known that. By following a few different prompts off we went and everyone in the class created some very cool sketches. The atmosphere in the classroom space was perfect for finding your creative vibes. Sometimes the sketch classes walk down to the pier to sketch the pier. I liked the instructor and would definitely come back here again to try some more art or crafting. Create Cafe got a pretty cool write up in this month's issue of Orange Coast Magazine dedicated to Hidden O.C. and I would say this place really is a hidden little gift the business owner has made for O.C.

I needed help with tool recommendations and the staff help me pick out the ones that would work best for my mug. I also was impressed with the final glaze. I have painted a few pottery pieces over the years and the glaze at Fired Up is the absolute best! She was really flexible with my changing head count and just shared the minimum cost which was around $330. She had me choose what design I wanted to paint in advance too, which was easy! Review - I planned this for my birthday and I had such a fun time. Davina really walks you through the steps in an easy to understand way and shows you how to do each step on her own canvas. It was totally fun and doable for my friends who are not generally crafting people! The studio has great decorations and ambiance, Davina gave us glasses, glow in the dark hair clip, and a hat to take home with us. The final painting is so pretty and glows in the dark. Super recommend, especially for kids, families, friends. COVID - we didn't wear masks but you could wear masks. Davina shared she is vaxxed and boosted.
