Robin (the teacher) even delayed the class when one of the attendee's Uber put the wrong address in their GPS and ended up on the opposite side of town. The class was easy to follow, fun, and everyone walked away with a painting they loved! The setup and scenery was beautiful: the patio looked over the beach which made for great photos. The Laguna Art Lounge also worked with the 4 kids in attendance by having them paint their own creations with plenty of glitter and fun colors. The attendees were wowed by the venue scenery and workstaff. The food was great, the wine and Champaign were a-plenty. I was even able to bring my own party favors and set up a display. I would recommend this venue to any body in the Laguna Beach area!

It was my first time trying pottery and my wife's second, and it turned out to be a great experience. The class started right on time. I walked in with no idea of what to make, but by the end I completed one piece on the wheel and another using hand-building. The instructor was extremely friendly, patient, and helpful, which made the experience enjoyable even for a complete beginner. They'll email us later to choose colors for glazing, which is a nice touch. Street parking is paid, but if you don't mind a short walk, there's free parking nearby. The surrounding neighborhood is lively and vibrant, making it perfect to stroll around before or after the class.

The bonus is getting to admire it every…read moretime I go to bed and wake from sleep :) After seeing some of his work at the Sawdust Festival and around Laguna Beach, I asked Andrew (Tatankamani) if he would build me a custom bed with a live edge headboard. Andrew's philosophy and his utmost reverence for nature make him the most respectable artist, while his exceptional woodworking skills and intuition make him the ultimate craftsman. I was beyond excited when he said yes!! The whole process was exciting, from brainstorming the look, to choosing the wood, to witnessing Andrew work his magic, to the finished product being installed in my home. I'd say the MOST exciting part was selecting the unique slab, salvaged from a California-native Claro Walnut (juglans hindsii) tree, which had survived both man-made and natural damage, before it needed to come down. Now, thanks to Andrew, it has been resuscitated, repurposed, transformed into a one of kind piece of art to be loved and admired for years to come.
