I have basically grown up at Fired Up from having my 9th birthday party here to painting a mug for my wedding. Sarah the owner is awesome as well as any staff that's there. The new shop is spacious and homey with plenty of great places to post up and paint. Pricing is very fair and there are usually lots of colors to select from. I no longer live in California but it is a staple when I'm in town to paint something new. I have accidentally started a tradition where I paint my own souvenir mug for things that have happened in my life (trips, wedding, moving etc.). Highly recommend and fired up is the perfect place for it

I mad e planter and didn't know how or where to fire it, then I found fired up on Google. Sara and Alyssa, thanks for letting me use your kiln to fire my piece, and using your adorable space to glaze it! P.S. Price depends on the size of your piece.

Not perfect, but still a fun time!

I haven't been to Fired Up since they moved to Del Mar Ave. Location: This is such a prime location! The location definitely gets extra points. They have an indoor area to paint, or you can sit in their outdoor courtyard, which is what my friend and I did. I also saw people having an outdoor picnic while painting which seemed like a great idea! Only negative with Del Mar Ave is although there is a lot of parking, it gets pretty packed. I usually have to drive around for a while to find somewhere. Selection: The selection of items to choose from is pretty good. I've been to other places like this before that had a few more options, and it would be nice to add a bit more to the inventory. I'd love to see some small dishes (like for jewelry), various sizes and shapes of the bowls, and maybe some more figurines or seasonal items. Prices: A little high (my mug was $48) but that does include the price of the paint, all the brushes and stencils and firing. It might be nice to have a flat price for the materials and lower the prices of the items? It probably would come out to the same amount, but somehow it just feels better that way. It felt like my friend who painted a bowl paid less than I did for a mug. Just a thought. Service: I noticed that a lot of the supplies needed refills. There was no water on the tables and no sponges. The girl who worked there was super sweet and very young. Feels like a lot of people who work there it might be their first job. I for sure was patient with them and the fact they're so sweet helps. I think it would have been nice to have someone go through the process a little more in detail - like I had to ask how many coats we needed. Another tip - have a texting system for when the pottery is ready to be picked up. This could also be used as a loyalist program to get a discount for a future visit. It was weird having to call and see if the piece was ready and had to explain what it looked like - they don't add names or anything to decipher what piece goes with which person. Seems like that could be an area of improvement. Last tip - I went to a place once that wrapped the items and put them in a gift bag upon arrival, which was a super cute touch. They had their business stickers on their bags, which is always good for marketing too. When I picked up my pieces, they asked if I wanted them wrapped. If you did the texting system and had them organized by group, you could have them wrapped and ready to go when people came to get them. Overall, this spot is a great location and a really fun time with friends, kids or even a fun date. I highly recommend and my review is only to give ideas and tips, not to be taken negatively. I hope it is received that way!

Great location! This was such a fun place. The owner was super nice and explained the process so well. We spent a lot of time painting our pieces and sipping on vino we brought in. Can't wait to get our pieces back to see how they turned out.

I had a wonderful time at firedup ceramics. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and made me feel like I was at home hanging out with a friend. . The studio was cozy and relaxing, with a great selection of colors and tools. It has a great vibe! (Even the bathroom was great. I felt like I was at a friends house instead of being at a corporate chain store) I enjoyed every minute of my creative experience and I can't wait to go back. Firedup ceramics is a great place to have fun and express yourself. Highly recommended!

Run down and very expensive. Management was rude and not pleasant. Avoid if you want to actually enjoy your time.

This comes with the territory of being an Empath, clairvoyant and claircognizant. One of my soul connections is with rocks/gems/crystals and the energy therein so as you can safely surmise: I ADORE crystal/spiritual shops and have been to quite a few in various cities across the country. I recently fell upon Art of Inner Peace (I've noticed the best spiritual shops have found ME versus the other way around) and am absolutely in love. San Clemente is known as the darling, relaxing, sparkling blue water beach town in between Los Angeles and San Diego on the Southern California map and is my personal requirement to visit whenever going between the two cities. This was precisely the case when I left LA to spend my birthday weekend in San Diego. Avenida def Mar, the main touristry strip that houses shops, eateries, boutiques, the post office and businesses; never fails to draw me in with its perfectly Cali surf vibe. While perusing the sidewalk, a quick sideways glance revealed, "Crystals!" (I shouted this); and I ran into Art of Inner Peace so fast that I probably left a trail of smoke behind me like in Looney Tunes cartoons. Upon entering, my eyes feasted on an array of crystals/rocks/gems, colorful textiles, shiny sound bath bowls, jewelry, wands, sage bundles, meditation supplies; while the scent of incense permeated my nose and amazing energies seeped into my pores from every direction. Art of Inner Peace is stunning with a selection that makes the store feel like an entire experience versus just a spot to shop. I could have spent hours looking at everything! Whatever your spiritual needs: you will find it at Art of Inner Peace. Art of Inner Peace is amazing as is just to browse; but honey: it gets even better! I can never have enough crystals - I am like the Cookie Monster with cookies - and can not rave enough about the selection of crystals/rocks/druzy crystals/ spheres/ icons at Art of Inner Peace. Whomever is their buyer knows their stuff AND they must have the most amazing suppliers! All of the pieces are both stunning on the eyes and of the utmost quality. One would therefore expect Art of Inner Peace to be off the charts in price point but NO! The prices on the crystals are incredibly affordable and basically a steal for the quality. Art of Inner Peace does NOT scam over customers! LOVE THIS PLACE! I selected a beautiful druzy amethyst crystal alongside an adjustable costume-vintage style ring ($10) and expected a simple check out experience but even this was stupendous at Art of Inner Peace. The female associate was so welcoming and instantly commented on my own energy and vibes. She (wish I caugfht her name) made me feel like I was a celebrity in her store and that she was being gifted by MY visit! And this wasn't some grifting act either - this was genuine. It is an absolutely pleasure to patron such an establishment where the business is truly thankful for their customers. Art of Inner Peace is perfect on all counts: the selection, ambiance, prices and customer service. This is a store that others should use a template for their own business plan. Whether you live in San Clemente or just passing through; Art of Inner peace is a MUST for your spiritual shop needs.

Now I feel it is even better as there are three of the best designers and framers in the area now under this one roof. This summer I spent two months traveling through the Northern Territory and Western Australia becoming familiar with not only aboriginal art but the source of where the art is created and to meet some of the aboriginal artists firsthand. It was quite an experience and I learned so much about how the art is created and how it varies from region to region and aboriginal tribe to tribe and artist to artist for that matter. Each piece tells a story that only the artist can explain. The colors are such beautiful earth tones and many of the paints are actually created from the soil and rocks found in the region. Through my journey I was able to collect some one of a kind and very valuable art pieces. So when I returned home I wanted a few of these pieces custom framed and there was only one shop that I even considered, San Clemente Art and Framing. One piece in particular was actually the most expensive art piece I have ever purchased and it was painted by an elderly aboriginal artist in central Australia. It is a very unique spiritual piece depicting two Emu Spirits protecting a rock waterhole in the bush country where the artist is from. Murray who is a designer at the shop and also manager is truly a genius at his trade and helped me select the perfect way to not only stretch the canvas but then frame it with the perfect frame to display this piece as the artist truly intended. I ended up taking three more of my one of a kind aboriginal art pieces in and Murray, Patrick, and Tom combined their amazing talents and created pieces that I could not have been happier with. But the fact is that even though they are by far the best art framers and designers, the number one reason they will always have my business is because of their personal and professional service. I really enjoyed my time with all three of these guys, sharing our stories of art and adventure and regard them as my good friends now and in the future.
