A fun, creative art workshop where you can pick from a variety of options from painting pottery to making candles to building your own garden pot. The prices are clearly written on the item and it's all inclusive (the item, all materials, and use of their facility) so no additional fees other than tax. Most items were between $20-35. The owner was friendly and welcoming. There's plenty of free parking in the large shared lot. You're allowed to bring your own drinks and food as well. We opted to make candles and it was really fun. You start with picking out your glassware, then cutting up the colored wax pieces you want to use and fill them in your glassware, then choosing which glitter color and scent you want. They pour hot wax to mold it all together and the candles ready to go within 15 mins. A great activity for all ages including adults. This would be a great option for any type of celebration, date night, hang out with friends, or spending time with your kids. There's something for everyone.

We are now living much farther away but make the 1.5 hr trip back for art class when we can. Just last night my son said, "Mommy, I miss Ms. Gretchen!" And I figured it was time to leave a review! Ms. Gretchen has a beautiful way of letting him be him, fully. My son is level 1 autistic, plus very shy at times because of lack of socialization due to a rare disease that keeps him in the house a lot. But when with Ms. Gretchen, none of behaviors are challenging, none of his behaviors need to be adapted - she is so loving and accepting in a way that allows him to feel cared for amd safe. To love and care from a distance in the way that she does is such a strong quiet power and we are grateful to know and to have the opportunity to continue returning to 29 Palms Creative Center. The guy I spoke with also told me that I could buy clay there and that all I needed to do beforehand was call to make sure they weren't busy and that there was space for me. On Thursday, I called ahead to make sure they weren't busy and then drove there. When I arrived, I was told, "Oh, we don't sell clay anymore." Luckily, I had mentioned that I didn't have clay because they were about to charge me the $40 anyway. First of all, why do they not sell clay when their name is literally "Temecula Clay"?! More importantly, please educate your employees on whether or not you sell clay, because I used to buy clay there a few years ago. I drove there TWO TIMES and wasn't able to use the wheel or work with clay at all. Just sell me the clay? Especially when the closest place to buy it is an hour away. Very frustrating and a huge waste of time. Update: They completely rectified the situation! Thank you so much to the owner and employees who fixed the issue.

Summer, our instructor was kind, patient and extremely helpful. She would teach us step by step what to do with the clay and then go to each student in the class and help them individually. I know personally that my "coffee mug" would have looked terrible without her expert help. My son did everything on his own with a little help with Summer and made two pieces. (I only made my coffee mug) We will continue to go there again and again. When I got home, I enthusiastically told my husband that I had found a new hobby! Thank you Summer! Thank you Temecula Clay! They said a parent is threatening to sue them because my son allegedly trapped their child under a chair. The owner never found any video footage of this supposed incident, and my son does not have a history of this type of behavior. I didn't want to push for my son to stay in this summer program though if there is such a lack of adult supervision that they would even be unsure of the children's whereabouts during the hours in their care. The children are in a small space throughout the day during the summer program, and if there is no adult witness that can say with surety that an event did or did not occur, they are not actively supervising these children effectively
