This is a feedback and not a complaint. School of Rock provides amazing opportunity for children and teens to learn music and how to perform. I'm proud of how my children are learning from their awesome music coaches . Ive attended several of my kids mini concert. Students are very blessed with their talents and creativity. Most teen performers are dressed inappropriately and looked scary . Young children ( young boys and girls) audience are watching them . As a parent , I'm very concerned how these young generations show up themselves to the public. I hope school of rock admin to implement proper , appropriate clothing policy to their students . It's okay to look cool like a rockstar but should be done appropriately. read more

To be completely honest, I have no idea how much other music facilities/lessons cost. School of Rock was amazing but the price made it difficult to justify a long term commitment. My son took the free drum lesson and then participated in a couple of group classes before he decided he didn't really enjoy the group lessons. I took lessons when I was younger so I decided I'd teach him myself even though School of Rock probably would have garnered better results. The facility was cool, felt like a local rock bar and the staff was friendly and talented. The price was just too high, I didn't see value long term especially since my son didn't care for the group format. Private lessons were obviously higher priced and, again, not really worth it to me. read more

This school is awful. Not only is it extremely overpriced for bad lessons and a mediocre band program, but the favoratism that goes on in this place is unbelievable. When my daughter was in this school, she came back unhappy and frustrated almost every time. They always assigned songs to their favorite students and gave my daughter sometimes as low as 2 songs total when the others had up to 7 or 8. If you really want to go to school of rock, dont go to the temecula one. read more

This place has really gone down hill with the new management. They play favorites and my son was bullied. His lesson days and teacher were changed constantly. No consistency. It is not a good environment for kids. Also, it is more expensive than any other music program. Don't let the name fool you, they are not a school. read more

I have been taking voice lessons with Kayla for over a year now. She has been so great! She has helped push my singing to the next level and has helped set achievable challenges and goals for me. She is knowledgeable about singing and caters the one on one to the individual. She is so sweet and caring and makes the session fun. The Summer Rock 101 camp was an amazing experience! Our 11yo son had a blast and learned an incredible amount in one week! He went from dabbling on drums with no formal instruction to playing 2 complete songs, plus learned another song on bass/guitar! He said playing as a group made all the difference in learning. We love everything about School of Rock! The instructors and staff are amazing and SO good with kids. My daughter is a bit of an introvert, and they seem to really understand her at SORT. I have no doubt she will blossom through this experience, largely due to the compassion and understanding shown by the staff. The way of teaching music here is different, so go into it with that knowledge. These are not music lessons your kiddo will dread going to (forcing your kids to go to something they hate can be one of the worst parts of any type of lesson/after school activity). The kids will perform at the end of this, and will learn confidence and stage presence along the way. I'm already seeing my daughter come out of her shell--slowly, yes, but it's happening. read more

I think this place is great if you have teenagers or little rockstars in the making.If you truly just want your little ones to gain some musical ability (whether that be reading notes, learning instrument sounds, or learning to play) there are better schools for that. The group classes for children are the same price as private lessons in the area, and honestly my child didn't learn much in the time he was enrolled. That being said, Will is amazing and if he offered private lessons for children i would def hire him. He's the perfect person for children to feel comfortable with and he can reach kids on all levels. Natasha is also great and makes sure everything runs smoothly there. read more

My son has been with School of Rock for about 1.5 years. He had taken guitar lessons in the past, but there is something different and special about School of Rock. This place makes it fun to learn how to play a musical instrument:) From the moment you walk into the studio, you will be greeted with positivity and a helpful attitude. There is a hip vibe to School of Rock that draws young people in. Every instructor that I had the pleasure of meeting seemed interested and able-to-relate to the youth they were teaching. No real music theory or practice taught. Basically very small bits are practiced and the number of players is increased to cover the gaps.

The service at SOR is awesome! Mark is a total star, my progress is quick, i'm having so much fun, learning a new skill as a grown ass woman is very rewarding especially in a relax and supportive atmosphere. My Friday class is the highlight of my week. I love it!! read more

Each staff member has a passion for music and kids. My two boys are learning music through immediate application with a 45 minute private lesson as well as a 90 minute rock band session each week. They get to learn much more than just one instrument (one does drums, keyboard, vocals and the other does bass, vocals, keyboards) and learning how to play music together with others is priceless. We have many activities we do/have done over the years and this is the first one my boys have NEVER complained at some time that they just didn't feel like going. Quite the contrary, they beg to go early so they can hang out (which they are encouraged to do so they can practice more and enjoy other band mates in the special kids lounge)! So worth finding a way to put this in your family budget! read more

I enrolled my daughter about a month ago and she is signed up for a band practice and a private lesson. The staff are very talented and the Director has a extensive background in music education. All of the teachers are active local musicians performing here in Temecula. They prepare the students to play/perform with others and independently. I would love to take my own lessons there but, it is too expensive for both of us. I look forward to see how far they can go in teaching my daughter. The staff is wonderful with the students and parents. They are friendly, and make everyone feel welcome. Music lessons are the first thing our daughter has finally stuck with, and continues to be excited about her weekly lessons. I truly value that our daughter is able to try a variety of instruments during her lessons. Some days she sticks with just one. She is learning all about music, and forming a great relationship with the teachers. First of all, we love the extent of professionalism received by the manager/owner, Peter. I wish they had School of Rock when I was a kid, and when my kids first started. While music theory is important, immersion is the key to keep kids interested. Perfect example: You can "learn" Spanish in a few years by studying books, or you can move to Mexico and learn it way faster, because you're immersed in the language. It's the same concept here. My son never really took to drums because the first year was just him bored out of his mind playing rudiments on a practice pad. I can't help but think that had there been a School of Rock, he'd have been thrown onto a kit playing Nirvana or AC/DC, and probably still be interested. Immersion is the key...the theory and technical knowledge comes later. Same reason why a high school graduate who has been working for an entrepreneur knows more about running a business than a 4 year business major with no business experience. You can try to teach the technicalities, but ultimately people learn by doing. read more
