**** PLEASE READ BEFORE DOING BUSINESS **** My wife and I purchased a frame from this store in late April of this year (2022). The frame turned out beautiful and was exactly what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, the frame fell off the wall after hanging for approximately 3 months. This happened while my wife and I were out of town. The people that were watching our home for us every two weeks walked in and found the glass shattered on the floor. It didn't take long to see the cause -- one of the screws that hold the metal wire to the frame had pulled out of the frame. My wife called and left a voicemail on 9/21; that call was not returned. We called again today (9/23) and after explaining what had happened, we were told we should speak with the manager. The person who took the phone stated they were the owner. My wife kindly (it truly was very kind -- we were not upset -- we were just hopeful to get the frame replaced, which felt appropriate given the circumstances) explained what happened and the response was very cold. During this call, we were told that they would not do anything to replace the frame. We were further told that it must have been our fault because there is no way the screw would come out without any external force. The owner told us that maybe the frame was hung on an angle. They then stated that maybe it was an earthquake because they happen all the time here. I asked why every other frame in my house is still on the wall? If all the other frames (some larger, some smaller) are still holding, why didn't their frame, unless there was something wrong with the workmanship? We offered to send the photos (attached to this review) so that they could evaluate and determine if they agreed that it seemed something was amiss with the frame or if it was potentially defective in some way. We were told that a picture could not tell them that and not to bother sharing photos. The owner asked me, "So what should I do? Every time someone calls and says the frame fell off the wall, I should just replace it?" I said, "That depends on whether or not the cause is a defective frame." Later in the conversation, the owner stated that they have never had a complaint about any of their frames, in seven years. This really makes me wonder; if you have never had anyone complain about your product breaking, then why are you concerned about having to replace a frame every time this happens? Multiple contradictions, very rude behavior, and an owner that doesn't stand behind their product. Three very good reasons not to do business here. The other reviews that discuss the rude store staff are also accurate. We encountered that when we purchased, but since it's a boutique-type store, we wrote it off as just an employee having a bad day (twice). As an aside, when we first found out what happened, we thought it might be one of our custom frames from Michaels (purchased only a few days from the one we got from here). We called Michaels to see what we should do, and the first question we were asked was, "Is the picture ok?" They were concerned about the artwork first and the frame second. At no time during the phone call with Super Frame were we asked if our artwork was ok. So very disappointing. If this is your industry, you should care about the artwork you're framing. Michaels also stated that their guarantee would cover remaking the frame at no cost and they were so sorry we had to deal with this. Now we wish we'd purchased this frame from Michaels as well. We thought we'd purchase a more "high end" frame from a local custom framing store instead because it was for our wedding painting, which was the most important to us. Big, costly mistake. PS: I state "the owner" because I believe they gave me a false name (Sean Choi). The name under which the business is registered (Kim Gil) is different from that which was provided on the phone. I'm now a three-peat customer! Besides getting the Clayton Kershaw jersey framed, I had them do a Mike Trout one too. I can't tell you all the compliments I get on them hanging in my office. Most recently I had them frame 3 autographed Augusta National Master flags. They turned out AMAZING! One of them is going to a fundraiser and the other 2 will be proudly displayed in the office. Went to Michael's to get a photo framed. It is an oddball custom size, with a double matt. Got a quote for $597. What the heck. Feeling like that was a rip off I wanted another quote. Went to Super Frame & Art, and got it DONE for $131. They did a great job, quick turn around time. I would highly recommend them. Felt good to support a local family business too. read more

Sorry, I hate leaving bad reviews for local, small shops. But this was bad. I recently moved to southern CA and needed a piece of custom art framed for a client. I found that this shop was still open during COVID, so I chose them. Masks are required which is great, I appreciate that very much. Unfortunately, that's all I can say positive. My art requires shadow-box style frames, and they had just a few to choose from. I was able to find one that worked, but I really did have limited choices - like 3 black frames to pick from. I ordered a bright white mat for the art as well, and paid half the price up front. Pricing was average, but they don't offer discounts to artists, and most other frame shops I've dealt with do. It was ready 2 weeks later, I picked up, paid, got home and realized that they forgot the mat. I called right away and was argued with by the owner. He said multiple times that he didn't know what I was talking about. I landed up driving the 30 minutes back to the store where he quickly said that after reading the order form he saw that he missed the mat, and got it done by the next day. Picked up the next day and realized that the mat was not the bright white I chose. Instead a cream color which really didn't look great against the bright white background of my art. Again, the owner argued, said it was the same mat I chose - even though when he held up the sample mat next to the finished piece it clearly wasn't the same shade of white. I landed up leaving unhappy, and I won't go back. I had to ship this to my customer the same day and really didn't have more time to wait and have it redone, and right now I'm just hoping she is OK with it. I frame A LOT, and I'll be finding a different shop to work with for my art. Super bummer. read more

Ok, so I don't really know anything about framing. All I know is that we usually have lots of stuff around that house that we've been "meaning to get framed" that doesn't usually get done because let's face it, it usually costs an arm and a leg. I'm not sure why this place is different, but the costs here seem to be generally way less than some other places we've tried. I've found these guys to be really reasonable (though I admit, it always kills me to pay for framing stuff). They also have a good eye to what type of frame would look good. I've never opted for a super expensive frame (see above), but it's a good place if you want something that looks good for a reasonable price. Oh by the way, they must do the framing on site because their response times are awesome. I had 9 different old fruit crate labels that I wanted framed for our new office opening, but I needed them in 48 hours. They had them done early. Don't know how, but they did. Not a big fan of their oil paintings, but that's probably just me. Anyway, I chose not to ding them a star even though I always hate to pay for framing anything. But if I have to get it done, this place does good work quick at a reasonable cost. read more

Everything I read is what we experienced! They are very friendly. They have a quick turnaround. And their prices are great! I have worked for an Art Gallery before so I know the mark up at the other places (even with their coupons) is high! We brought Super Frame & Art mirrors from Home Depot to put custom frames on. They turned out so beautiful. It's a great custom touch in our bathroom. We also purchased a painting that he put in a frame right away. I've been going to this frame shop for 10 years and the previous owner was wonderful. Great prices, very helpful and the work was outstanding. Since the new owners took over the quality and customer service have gone downhill to the point I will no longer use them. I'm a professional artist and I spend a couple thousand dollars a year on frames so I've loved having a local business to take my work to. I was willing to overlook the price change and drop in service because it was convenient and still a better deal than other framers but ever since they hired a particular woman to work the front desk I can no longer give them my business. She seems to think she owns the store and does not pass on messages to the owner when problems arise. She appears to take pleasure in telling the customer no. I can't walk up to the back wall to look at the frames close up, I can't special order frames for a bulk order that I've always done in past years, I have to pay up front for frames that have always been pay upon receipt or at least 1/2 down, I can't get a special order done quicker than 2 weeks (even though it's rare they ever take longer than a week to finish even on a holiday). The list goes on and on. One time I even asked to speak to the framer directly and while he was telling me he could make a call to get items out of stock she interrupted him to tell him they couldn't! Her job is to answer the phone and take orders and she's telling the framer what he can and cannot do. When I asked for her day off so I could just come in when she's not there they refused to tell me so I walked away with a $2000 order that Michales gladly took (and MATCHED THEIR PRICES FOR!). This is no longer the friendly local business it used to be and you'll get 1000 times better service with Belinda at Michaels, she's the manager of the frame shop in Temecula and AMAZING at her job. read more

I've had things framed in the past with ok work and insane prices. This place has very reasonable prices and incredible work. I had a week turn around for a custom job. I wanted an old picture taken 10 years ago from my honeymoon printed on canvass and framed. They use the best canvas printer you can buy. They handled everything and the final product turned out great. (even better than I had imagined) Their prices I thought were fair and they are just the nicest people. My wife loved the surprise for our 10 year wedding anniversary and the picture looks great hanging in our dining room. I went back recently for a custom full length mirror. Again I was impressed! Prices were easily half of those other stores and turn around time was one hour for two 20x20 custom frames (no glass or matting). Staff were both friendly and knowledgable in-person and over the phone. We feel they were honest in their assessment of a damaged frame with their recommendation to replace. Yesterday I went in to have the hanger changed on a picture so that it hung diagonally. She took the frame into the back room, came back a minute later and it was done. No charge.
