We're so happy we have such a quality business in Chula Vista. We had a couple pieces we wanted framed, and wanted more than going to a store like Michael's. One piece was a 1959 magazine rum ad, which featured my husband's late grandfather. It was a delicate piece and irreplaceable. The second was a watercolor print we bought when we lived in South Carolina over 20 years ago. We wanted to replace the dated gold frame, but use the same matting. The print had slipped over the years and needed to be re-centered. The owner was helpful and patient with me while I selected the frames. He encouraged me to use the museum glass, and I'm so glad I listened to his advice. The items look almost as if there is no glass. The total price was a bit of a shocker, but in this instance I believe we got what we paid for. The items turned out so nice. My review will not do their work Justice. I wish I could put actual emotions that were felt in our home when displaying their work. I came across a brown grocery paper bag in our closet. Inside was paperwork, medals, patches, photos, awards, etc. They were my boyfriends fathers military items. He passed away 7 years ago, never really discussing his military years. I am a new homeowner and for the first time in my life I have the chance to have a media room/man cave. I decided on a sports theme and purchased multiple jerseys to have framed. I live in Visalia and first considered local businesses and some online jersey framing companies. While conducting an internet search I came across the Jacquez website. I reached out with several questions as I was reluctant to just give my jerseys to anyone. RJ put all of my anxieties to rest as he reassured me that my jerseys were in great hands. His constant follow up was what made me send my jerseys to his gallery. Once he received my jerseys, he got right to work and was extremely detailed oriented. I was greeted instantly and sorry I am terrible at remembering names but the man that helped me was super nice! I needed to get a canvas stretched and mounted and have never done this before so it was a first for me. I picked up this extreme awesome weezer print from the Del Mar Summer Concert series show this year. It seems to make me happy every time I see it. So I decided I wanted to custom frame it and hang it on the wall. I've gone to another place before to get something framed but it was a long drive to PB from South San Diego (Imperial Beach area). So I decided to go on Yelp to find a closer frame that will do an awesome job. I came across Jacquez Art & Custom Picture Framing. After reading the only "5" star review Yelp I was a bit skeptical. Sometimes you think whether that review is authentic. Usually, I like to read the review and do some research beforehand. I was impressed with what I saw online and decided to take my print to get framed their. As I stepped into the shop I was greeted immediately. The owner introduced himself and was intrigued by what I had to frame. I gave him a brief background on the print. I told him what I was looking for and he provided his input right away. We looked at several different molding samples for the frame while his wife was sorting out the different mattes. He was extremely patient with me and didn't rush or force me with anything. We ended up going with a simple black frame with a double matte and anti-reflection glass. At first I was blown away by the price. Sometimes you just have to pay for quality instead of finding a cheaper alternative. I love the print so much that I was willing to pay. So I placed a deposit and decided to pay when the frame was complete. ... A week and half later, I get a message that my frame was done. I was really excited when I picked it up. Once I saw it on the counter I was completely blown away. It made my $25 print look like a million bucks! They are extremely friendly and professional. They are willingness to help the customer is top notch. Although they are a small shop they do quality work. Once you get work done by them you'll never want to go anywhere else. read more

I told them what kind of frame I wanted, a simple black frame with no patterns, for all 3 prints. They took a piece of wooden corner frame that fits the style I wanted and put it on the canvas.They took measurements and calculated the total cost for all of them. I was kind of ok with the price until he said he can offer a lower price by using a different material that was cheaper, lighter and still looks good. I agreed to using that type of frame and price and left the place in less than 30 minutes after walking in. After about a week waiting I finally picked them up. I was amazed how they turned out. Although they are a fairly new business just opened a few years ago they have the experience that goes beyond before opening this store.
