RJ is the best in the business! I had been looking for a few years for someone to frame some memorabilia I had from college and wanted it to be done professionally and yet not completely break the bank. RJ calls his work masterpieces and now I know why. I reached out to RJ and told him what I had and he said to leave it to him. His prices are fair and his work is outstanding. I had not worked with Jacquez Art and Jersey Framing before so I took a leap of faith I sent him a signed Jersey, ticket stub, magazine and a few cards. The rest is history. RJ has exceptional communication. You can text him at anytime and he will always respond promptly and professionally. The process does take time and is totally worth the wait. Look no further, RJ is the real deal. Thanks man! read more

We're so happy we have such a quality business in Chula Vista. We had a couple pieces we wanted framed, and wanted more than going to a store like Michael's. One piece was a 1959 magazine rum ad, which featured my husband's late grandfather. It was a delicate piece and irreplaceable. The second was a watercolor print we bought when we lived in South Carolina over 20 years ago. We wanted to replace the dated gold frame, but use the same matting. The print had slipped over the years and needed to be re-centered. The owner was helpful and patient with me while I selected the frames. He encouraged me to use the museum glass, and I'm so glad I listened to his advice. The items look almost as if there is no glass. The total price was a bit of a shocker, but in this instance I believe we got what we paid for. The items turned out so nice. It was our first time using this business and we will definitely use them in the future when we have more framing needs. read more

" Simply Unbelievable Professional Excellence " I visited the Jacquez Art and Custom Picture Framing Shop in Chula Vista, CA the other day, and had a wonderful experience. RJ Jacquez the owner is a great craftsmen, as he takes any type of sports memorabilia or memory items, and turns them into an Artwork Masterpiece. He will professionally frame jerseys, pictures, jewelry, military items, etc., etc., and can even install videos inside a picture frame. RJ's items are professionally perfect, and some of the best I have ever seen anywhere. Excellent customer service and unbelievable quality of work! I took my signed Padres jersey into their shop after shopping around and looking at reviews of different framing stores in the area. RJ was very polite and explained the whole process to me. We bounced ideas off each other and he wanted to make my vision a reality. He got me 50th year anniversary patches for the jersey and picture of Fernando Tatis Jr. to bring it all together. I'm a firm believer in supporting "mom and pop" stores if they have wonderful quality of work and this shop does! I would come back here over and over, for whatever framing job needed. Thank you again for blowing my mind and making the vision become a reality RJ! Well Done! read more

My review will not do their work Justice. I wish I could put actual emotions that were felt in our home when displaying their work. I came across a brown grocery paper bag in our closet. Inside was paperwork, medals, patches, photos, awards, etc. They were my boyfriends fathers military items. He passed away 7 years ago, never really discussing his military years. Not sure really what everything actually meant, I googled military framing to find someone who might be able to help. This place came up, of course their reviews were enough for me to make the hour drive. Above and beyond what we ever expected, they took items from the brown bag and made and incredible display for all to honor in our home. They truly took our loved ones items and put their work of honor into the display as well. I had no idea how or what to display, but they did. The photo attached does not do their work justice either, as I took it with my cell phone. Nicest family owned place, honest, caring and amazing at what they do. I have taken two more items to be framed since, and plan to do more in the future. Thank you for the amazing job we will honor for years and proudly display for others to honor in our home. read more

My review can't express how wonderful our experiences have been with this store & owner. My husband and son have been taking all of our art here for years, from cheap posters to family photos. RJ has helped him transform & frame all of these into extraordinary & special items we have hung throughout our home. RJ is phenomenal & I am so thankful for all of the help he has given us thru the years. Don't hesitate to bring any of your small or large projects here - this is the real deal!! Immense attention to detail & it's very obvious a lot of care is put into each item. Jacquez Art and Jersey Framing - The painting I painted for a customer and RJ framed. My art is at EccentricVisions.com btw - Framing Near Me

I am a new homeowner and for the first time in my life I have the chance to have a media room/man cave. I decided on a sports theme and purchased multiple jerseys to have framed. I live in Visalia and first considered local businesses and some online jersey framing companies. While conducting an internet search I came across the Jacquez website. I reached out with several questions as I was reluctant to just give my jerseys to anyone. RJ put all of my anxieties to rest as he reassured me that my jerseys were in great hands. His constant follow up was what made me send my jerseys to his gallery. Once he received my jerseys, he got right to work and was extremely detailed oriented. After a few conversations, I gave him free reign to design the frames to his liking. I told him to surprise me with the finished results. RJ and I originally made plans to have the jerseys shipped to me but customer service level was so high that I felt obligated to drive 5 hours to San Diego to pick them up in person. I really felt the need to me RJ as we had really hit it off. When I arrived at the gallery RJ was extremely excited to see me. He had been eager to show me the work that he had put in to complete the frames. Once he unveiled them I was blown away. The colors he chose, the cut of the background, and the actual frame all contributed to my expectations being exceeded. In fact I am so impressed that I have purchased additional jerseys for my media room that I will be sending to RJ very soon. RJ does amazing work and the customer service that he combines with the craftsmanship puts him in a league of his own. I highly recommend him for all of your framing needs. read more

Messaged for a quote and they were prompt in answering. They also were great at being willing to work with me on a special request to pick-up my piece and deliver it when it was done. Not all places are willing to do that. Was surprised, however, at the reply when I asked about the price disparity between them and another place that I had gotten an estimate from. They felt that that the other place was 'giving it away'. In any case, great prompt replies but found the quote was more than twice what another place quoted, so I went with a different vendor later. Overall, I did not choose them to do the work, but my customer service experience was good. This place will deliver prompt replies but be prepared to possibly pay a little more than some other places. +++ After hearing back from the owner, RJ, I want to add that people should take my review with a grain of salt. I am just one interaction. They are a small 'mom and pop' shop business and I strongly believe in supporting small local businesses. Please take my review as just one experience and realize that this business does have a 5 star overall rating in spite of my less than stellar, 5 star review. read more

This place is the place to go for any custom framing you could need. RJ ran through my project with me down to the fine details and had excellent recommendations. The level of experience they carry is extremely comforting, especially with my project being so important to me. I manage a Rock N' Roll band and this was a tribute frame that displayed the first shirts from the first show we did together with the band's signatures, album cover, & plaque brought all together by RJ's vision of what fits the band's vibe. It turned out perfect and exceeded my vision for what I thought was badass! And for the price, I couldn't be happier with the deal I was given. Definitely felt like I made out well. Nice "mom and pop" business. Meticulous work, competitive and reasonable prices. Placed museum glass on numerous sentimental pictures. Still have more pictures that need the museum glass. Exceptional service!!! I will start off with that comment ... I found this place on here and decided to take the drive from el cajon to check it out based soley on the reviews. I was greeted instantly and sorry I am terrible at remembering names but the man that helped me was super nice! I needed to get a canvas stretched and mounted and have never done this before so it was a first for me. He explained the process and how they will stretch and mount and told me it could take up to 10 days to get the painting back. I got a phone call 5 days later saying it was ready. Fast and friendly service! Would recommend! read more

I picked up this extreme awesome weezer print from the Del Mar Summer Concert series show this year. It seems to make me happy every time I see it. So I decided I wanted to custom frame it and hang it on the wall. I've gone to another place before to get something framed but it was a long drive to PB from South San Diego (Imperial Beach area). So I decided to go on Yelp to find a closer frame that will do an awesome job. I came across Jacquez Art & Custom Picture Framing. After reading the only "5" star review Yelp I was a bit skeptical. Sometimes you think whether that review is authentic. Usually, I like to read the review and do some research beforehand. I was impressed with what I saw online and decided to take my print to get framed their. As I stepped into the shop I was greeted immediately. The owner introduced himself and was intrigued by what I had to frame. I gave him a brief background on the print. I told him what I was looking for and he provided his input right away. We looked at several different molding samples for the frame while his wife was sorting out the different mattes. He was extremely patient with me and didn't rush or force me with anything. We ended up going with a simple black frame with a double matte and anti-reflection glass. At first I was blown away by the price. Sometimes you just have to pay for quality instead of finding a cheaper alternative. I love the print so much that I was willing to pay. So I placed a deposit and decided to pay when the frame was complete. ... A week and half later, I get a message that my frame was done. I was really excited when I picked it up. Once I saw it on the counter I was completely blown away. It made my $25 print look like a million bucks! They are extremely friendly and professional. They are willingness to help the customer is top notch. Although they are a small shop they do quality work. Once you get work done by them you'll never want to go anywhere else. read more

Awesome quality work and customer service! I bought 3 canvas art prints from Hong Kong 5 years ago while stationed overseas and I've been wanting to get these framed for the longest time. I had the opportunity to get it done back while I was in Hawaii but never got around to it. Now that I'm here in San Diego I searched through the web to finally get these framed. Luckily I found this place. I checked the reviews, checked their website and compared this place to other places in the area. I came into the store to check it out and I was blown away by so many different custom frame options to choose from hanging from their walls. I told them what kind of frame I wanted, a simple black frame with no patterns, for all 3 prints. They took a piece of wooden corner frame that fits the style I wanted and put it on the canvas. They took measurements and calculated the total cost for all of them. I was kind of ok with the price until he said he can offer a lower price by using a different material that was cheaper, lighter and still looks good. I agreed to using that type of frame and price and left the place in less than 30 minutes after walking in. After about a week waiting I finally picked them up. I was amazed how they turned out. Although they are a fairly new business just opened a few years ago they have the experience that goes beyond before opening this store. They also have the passion in doing this kind of work and enjoy doing it as well. I look forward in coming here again in the future. read more

He told me a little bit about their business and how they frame jerseys and ship all over the world. He was so proud of his small business and they clearly take so much pride in getting gifts out on time. Don't hesitate to go w them no matter where you are in the world. If it were possible to give more than 5 stars I would. My experience with RJ and his wife was wonderful from start to finish. They were recommended to me by a very good friend of mine Judy Wilson. She had been a former customer and advised me not to look any where else. I am so glad I listened. I presented a project that they had never seen before and showed such interest in being able to work with. I have a New Zealand Maori skirt (Piupiu) and headband. They made a shadow box and used Museum quality glass. The background was black velvet. They displayed the headband on a raised setting. It is just beautiful. I am thrilled.
