It's the only place I know that does same day development, and it's still super cheap for scans (like 16 bucks). Plus it's like a 5 minute walk from the beach, and downtown Laguna. I started taking my disposable cameras here a few weeks ago per the recommendation of a friend, and I don't think I will go anywhere else for my film needs ever again! The team at Supercolor is incredibly kind, friendly, and efficient. Film comes back within 24 hours, and if you drop your film off early enough in the day, you can even get your photos back same day. They are also super helpful and patient with answering questions about cameras. I'm by no means a film expert but have been trying to learn more, so I brought in a point and shoot to ask what kind of batteries I need for it. The woman at the counter was not only able to sell me the battery for my camera but also helped me load some film I had brought from home and explained to me how to do it myself in the future. I'm a huge fan of this place. Starting with the friendly and professional service, this place is my go to spot for all kinds of photo printing and video transferring services. I recently had 6 VHS videos converted to DVDs in less than three days! Was very happy with the results. The DVDs were neatly labeled and had great quality considering the videos were from the early 90s. Will definitely go back to convert all of my remaining videos to DVD. Laguna Beach locals- think Factotum Shoe & Leather Repair folks are rude? Check out Supercolor Imaging across from Bank of America/ Whole Foods. Owner of this place takes it to a whole new level. In plain sight, the owner was cursing, finger-pointing and screaming at an innocent customer and the staff showed no concern for the owner's behavior. That just showed how hostility is normal at the establishment. I have been to this place a couple of years ago and a staff was quitting because of the hostile working environment. Simply great customer service here. I called in the afternoon on New Years Eve for help with digital files I had for my parents' 50th anniversary pictures. Special occasion require special enlarged pictures on canvas and I received excellent help and education on things to know regarding file size and resolution required for high quality enlarged images. They also helped photoshop one particular image that had overexposed background but a precious moment with my entire family in the foreground. Made the initially imperfect image appropriate for enlargement. Got my order in before they closed early for the holiday (understandably) and was not rushed at all. Received an email (my preferred method to be contacted) a couple days before their promised date informing me the order was ready. When I arrived for pick up I saw the canvas prints from the door and they were brilliant, clear, and perfect. The lady on the sales floor greeted me, presented my order, and gave me ample time to review several pieces and I was very happy with the end product which was also wrapped in protective plastic to avoid any damage. Very thoughtful and professional. They even took the time to thank me for my business and offered their services for my future needs. This was my first visit to this store based on excellent Yelp reviews AND they answered the phone AND they were open when I needed them AND they were extremely willing and happy to help me on the phone. Henrik is always a gentleman, and he was patient and gracious with me when I questioned the Giclee print I purchased from him in terms of its faithfulness to the original painting. But when I got home and was able to compare it to the large original painting, I found that the giclee was spot on in accuracy. I heart photo labs and camera stores. We really do need more independently owned places like this. Every now and again we shoot film and there's always something going on when it comes to processing whether it's price or incompetence. Neither is good, and the latter is just unacceptable. That's where Super Color comes in handy. When I'm done dealing with the bigger stores (like the ones that rhyme with Roscoe and TBS) I come here and always get service with a smile. The owner and his assistant are very helpful and knowledgeable and if they don't know the answers they're more than happy to refer you elsewhere. If digital's your deal and you need some prints quick that actually match your computer screen, they've got four kiosks in the store where you can upload your images and get them in an hour.
