This is a studio / gallery for a number of different artists. The mediums are currently painting and photography. There is a lot of talent in these stalls. There was an art walk on 26 Nov 2010 and the place was packed. There was a great guitarist (didn't get his name) and about 10 different artists showing their skills and conversing with the patrons. Just across the street from the Carlsbad Village Theater, and adjacent to the train station, the Foundry is a must see. One of the new artists is photographer Serena Lissy (http://www.serenalissy.com). There was lots of talent on display through painting, sculpture and collage. Each participating artist had his or her own space to show art and the equipment and tools used to create that art. It is an extension of the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary and everything goes towards the animals. Volunteers run the store and are always nice and helpful! I like to make a stop in when I'm in town-they always have something new every time, from home decor to dog/cat supplies. During the holidays the store is beautifully decorated and decked out, you just have to come and see! They do take most donations, just no clothing/shoes, as far as I know!

Kathy herself is an amazing potter the entire studio is full of people who truly know what they're doing and willing to share their gift and talent with you. I went into OPT with 2 old Canon digital cameras that were broken. I wanted to be good to the…read moreenvironment, get them fixed, and not put 2 cameras in a landfill. Lacey called Canon and found out that the cameras I had were unable to repair because canon no longer makes parts for the cameras. Lacey then handed me the phone and put me in contact with the Canon customer loyalty program. I was able to buy 2 replacement cameras at a discounted rate from Canon. Canon also sent me a shipping label to return the broken cameras so they could recycle the parts. Lacey and the OPT crew might not of made a sale off of me, but they did me right and i will be returning there for and camera gear I need in the future. This is what you should get when you support local business, do your Christmas shopping for your camera and telescope needs with OPT.
