There is a second floor that you can only access by stairs, but even if you cannot get upstairs, there is plenty of beautiful art to see on the bottom floor. Please be careful if going up and down the stairs because the handrails are a bit wobbly and unstable. Experience: this gallery is WAY bigger than it looks from the outside. Upon entering, you can turn left and go enjoy their bar, or you can turn right and enter a world of art. A lot of the art here is a darker theme, but some of it isn't. The art is mostly paintings but there are some small sculptures and photo art. I also learned they have an escape room you can play, but I haven't experienced this one yet!

This is not your typical classical, safe paintings that you see else. No these paintings have an edge, a uniqueness about them which I love. I thought I needed to go to LA for this type of stuff, but seeing it here in Escondido was refreshing. There's an upstairs too which has the artist's personal room they paint in which I thought was cool, some were open and other's were closed. There were plenty of paintings show casing their work. If interested in any of the pieces you just tell the guy working at the front, and mention the artist's name, and title of the picture. As I walked back downstairs I told the guy I was there to pick up 2 Victor Roman art pieces (Miss Green & Miss Mirren), and a August Williams (Paris). My husband contacted him and told him I'd be there. The guy grabbed my pictures, I was very pleased with the quality of the pictures. You can pay by pay pal, cc, or cash. I paid with CC and was e-mailed a receipt promptly. I can't wait to go back and bring others along.

The museum is in The Artist Alley in Oceanside between the library and Mission Ave. I came here for The Bad Ass Women art expo which I think is the whole month of March. When I came they had hand made jewelry, murals of course, live music and wine. I stayed for a little while made a donation and really enjoyed myself. I'm not sure what's next with this place but I'll stay tuned because this is a cool spot.

My favorite are the ones of women because they are portrayed out-of-this-world beautifully. There is one that is two faces of girls or women (near the front of the building) that I really love and connected to the most because it looked like my sister and me. I really felt connected to that. It's so beautiful how pieces can have profound affects on us. I will definitely be back.

I found Rita on the Bob Ross website for instructors. Her studio is well-designed. My boyfriend…read moreand I sat on either side of Rita while doing our painting. She had our palettes and brushes set out, wipes for cleaning, and aprons to protect our clothes. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot as we are completely novice painters! She showed us how to use the knife and brushes to achieve different painting techniques by demonstrating and then helping out when, surprise, we were not perfect the first time! We were pleased with our results as well (shocker!). She was very patient and instructive. This was a fabulous introduction to painting, and we recommend Rita highly.

Rita and mark never flinched putting up with us!! I didn't know, but apparently I had picked the toughest painting for beginners, but with her instructions we had no idea. We had such a great time a few weeks later we went for one of her venues. So much fun... great food, drinks and cool people to meet. I'll definitely be taking more classes since now I think/believe I'm a closeted artist!!
