The teacher/host was friendly, had good painting tips and guidance, and was very enthusiastic with his work. And dang it, painting is hard! This time it was Starry Night in San Diego. But I went off on a tangent and added a AT-AT, Death Star, Klingon Bird of Prey, a USS Enterprise, Star Destroyer, a Borg Cube, and an Ion Cannon, but no one seems to see that, doh! Unlike the 1st Grade, the teacher did not scold me or give me a "F" for not following instructions. IRONY: We paid $30, but it does not include wine, you still have to buy wine(or whatever) at the venue. Luckily it was still Happy Hour, so I got a beer for only $4. I might have subtracted a star it if it was more expensive, but since they call themselves "Wine and Paint" they should at least include a crappy plastic cup of Charles Shaw or Tisdale. Right? I still had a great time, so I'm going to let that slide... Note: I'm not a single guy, but if you are, this good place to meet girls...the class comprised of about 25 girls, me, and a very bored looking guy dragged here by girlfriend. Just place yourself in strategic spot...you'll have just over 3 hours to turn your small talk into a Facebook Friend Request, or more.

Never in a million years would I have thought I would be able to paint a cherry blossom tree but low and behold my masterpiece is hanging out on my hallway wall. The instructor is super sweet and PATIENT! I've done these things before where they fly by the instructors or get irritated when you hold up the class and ask a lot of questions. This wasn't like that at all. Ann and her assistant Tom (power couple!) were amazing and super helpful. I will definitely be back for some more painting fun!

This particular "Paint & Vino" was hosted by instructor, Nataly, at the Beach Terrace Inn, Carlsbad, Paint Your Pet event. Ahhhhmazing location overlooking the ocean with a lovely patio, comfy seating and Nataly generously offered us wine and lemonade. If you come to this particular one, come early to find parking as it is right on the beach especially in good weather like today on a Saturday. And bring your Scooby snacks and favorite beverage since you will be painting your pet for a while. I couldn't believe 3 hours had passed!!! We were having so much fun. Nataly is lovely and helps you out as much as you need. Supplies all the materials you will need. She's very generous, kind and knowledgeable. There's so much parking at liberty station and the place is easy to find! There are so many different options to choose from with the prices directly on each item which is really nice. You do have to wait a few days to collect the pottery (they fire it up), so make sure you're not leaving town and can pick it up!

Great stress relief for the moms in our group! Love that we can bring our own snacks and beverages (and no corkage fees). There are many paintings on the wall so you can see what others have created. Dora was our instructor and she was great. She took her time showing us how to create our masterpieces! I loved how she reminded us to take a drink to help us relax and not stress over our work! Fun time meeting new people and at the end seeing how different everyone's artwork turned out! Some even took liberties and invented new animals....spotted hyena-giraffe (Sandra!)! Haha Parking is the only issue but if you arrive early you shouldn't have to spend too much time looking. Try parking in the neighborhoods behind the studio. Some parked in the Vons parking lot but I advise against it as there are signs you will be towed. Thanks for a great time Dora!! We all had a blast and we will be back!!

My daughter celebrated her 10th birthday with her closest friends and siblings. Jenn and Gary made it one of the best experiences the kiddos could have. The space was perfect for the 13 participants, a table where we were able to set up dessert, and extra seats for parents to observe. Jenn and the team walked everyone through the process and were very patient with a bunch of pre-teens. They "Taylored" the music to what the girls love, so there was lots of singing! Several months ago I was looking for a place I could create some signs for our wedding in March '23 and happened upon their grand opening event. They are franchised by Board and Brush so you can find their listings, sign up for an event, and check out ideas. The studio is a great space with plenty of room to work. They have 5 tables which might be able to accommodate about 20 people. They are open for private events or public projects. If you haven't been to a board and brush before it's super simple and lasts about 3 hours. When you sign up you pick your project. They give you the wood and stencil - you pick the stain, colors and finishes. Then you get to work creating your board. They assist you throughout the process. There are even options to customize. They had lots of inspiration around the room that their family created in preparation. As of now their space is only 21 and over so gotta leave the kiddos at home. My fiancé and I will be back to create a couple pieces to fill the new home we established together
