In this age of scammers and scalpers, Tier 1 seems to be one of the few places left to get an honest deal with friendly staff. I keep coming back here with every new Pokemon and MTG release, and I always find product at market or slightly under. While other stores in the area go straight for the markup they know they'll get, Tier 1 keeps it real. I especially appreciate the knowledge and friendliness of Ryan. He's always super cool, remembers me when I come in, and helps me find exactly what I'm looking for. If you're new to the area or just looking for your next go-to LCS, I couldn't recommend Tier 1 more! read more

Came in August 23 as a tourist out of state and purchased the Pokémon Celebrations Collection Lances Charizard Pack UNOPENED for $190 after tax. Maybe 5 minutes after purchase, noticed collectible card in front had a small rip on the side. Called and spoke to some guy named Andy to inform them product I purchased from them was damaged his response was "okay and?" He then let me know "no refunds are available for this type of product and unfortunately there's nothing they can do to help." I left and checked the online store policy which stated refunds are accepted with receipt and unopened product up to 30 days and went back to the store to inform them of this and get my refund. Manager was there and told me it would take 5-7 business days to get refund. And thankfully I got a piece of paper with their info stating the refund because when I asked for it originally Andy said they "don't usually do that". I completely forgot about it and checked 3 weeks later and I'm still being charged for something I don't even have so I called back today and got Andy, again- was told they "mistakenly forgot to process the refund and I'll need to wait 1-14 business days to get this refund" This place is indeed a scam don't come here and get swindled and get the runaround. I've been here twice now, both with very different experiences. One was a Sunday afternoon, where folks and a few families were playing various card type games. The other was during the week, where folks wouldn't give you the time of day. Or, pushed back at you when you, when you needed help, or asked questions. Hmmm, I'll keep it to the w/e. But, if you're into Warhammer 40K, then this is your place. Lots of gaming tables and models to purchase. Terrible Card Shop. Asked 2 different people on some new stock of Ascending Heroes Premium Collections they had stacked up (more than 120 of them) and no one could tell me. Waited a while and had to ask to look at a card. Waited til I saw what looked like the owner walked around and asked him. $250 for an AH Premium Collection that cost $54.99 MSRP and $149 Market. Even worse than wild scalper pricing. $350 for ETB (Destined Rivals) is also stupid wild. I mean I get brick and mortal overhead, but wtf? TCG Player has these for $123 at the moment. Anyway, Temecula/Murrieta/Menifee has some other great spots with amazing staff. For real look around first. read more

This LCS is great for anyone in the area. They delivered a great shopping experience. The selection was broad and the staff went out of their way to help me find a specific card for my deck. I was impressed with the value, as some cards were even priced below market. Browsing through their variety of products was enjoyable and the service was excellent. They literally show up here all at the same time to play games it was impressive. I salute you gamers and I really love your shop too. Canceling orders constantly saying that their price was 'inconsistent with TCGPlayer' but this only ever happens when I pay low for a card that goes up. Bought from here multiple times on cards that crashed in price before they even left T1G's store, and they certainly did not cancel the order then. Always claim it's either due to them not matching tcgplayer, or inventory. Both extremely unprofessional. Don't buy cards from Tier 1 Games. read more

This place is perfect in terms of card selection and game types. I personally went in to get Pokémon Celebrations, which they had everything I needed. Marking pokemon product up 150% above MSRP while also limiting purchase. Scalpers on offer up are literally selling the same product for less. I'm all for supporting my LGS' but this is a joke. Instead of trying to be there for the actual collecting community and fight the scalpers,, they just jump on the scalper bandwagon. Traveled up for a Pokemon tournament for my son. Kind of out of the way. On the back side of the building away from the street. It's a relatively small shop in amongst a few motorcycle shops. They specialize in fantasy trading card games like Magic, Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh. It's a pretty old shop, or at least old looking. Carpets are old and worn. Saw a vacuum near the bathroom, but by the looks of the carpets, it's barely used. Many of the customers seemed to be familiar with each other. Pretty typical with this crowd. I've been coming here for the past few years now and I figured it's about time I leave a review. They have ton of options to choose from. They have a huge Magic: The Gathering collection, Dragon ball super trading cards, Yugioh, Force of Will, and Pokemon. They also have a bunch of board games and D&D products. The biggest thing when it comes to a card shop like this is how lively the community is, and it is a very lively community. They hold events for various games practically daily for MtG, DBZ, Pokemon, Yugioh, etc... you will even so a group of people get together to play D&D campaigns. It's a great store to just hang out and have fun with others. There are always people doing something every time I walk in which is great. Most other card shops I've been too look deserted and empty most of the time. Another thing to keep in mind is their huge selection, especially when it comes to MtG. I used to live in Orange County and have been to a bunch of other shops, and it's always disappointing to call or drive around with a list of cards you need but they only have 1 or 2 of them. I found one shop that sometimes had most of what I wanted and thought it was the best you could get when hunting down cards at brick and mortar store until I found Tier 1 games which blew them out of the water. I would say Tier 1, when I have a list of cards usually has 85-90% what I'm looking for at any given time which is really good. I have not seen a single store with a collection as complete as theirs. The staff is also really amazing, they're all super friendly and very helpful. The owner, Damyan, is really done to earth and participates in tournaments too and he's always interacting with the customers (as opposed to other places where you never see the owner). They also have a great online system for checking and ordering cards which is very convenient. Most other shops don't even have an online system to check their cards in stock. My only disappointment is sometimes I find a card I want but they only have it as a foil version. Bunch of products, great card selection, convenient online website, and great staff. read more

This is a fine establishment for gaming. It can get a little packed on certain nights, but the crowd is a good and fun mix of CCG players & RPers. On Wednesday they do board games & D&D! ^_^ The owners here are friendly. It's obvious they are enthusiastic about gaming and are happy to share that enthusiasm with others. I've seen newbies to gaming completely turned off because of snooty shop owners. That never made sense to me because that would only hurt their business. None of that chicanery here. The first night I came in just to check out the place and crowd I was invited to drop into a game. Nice. :) In checking their prices of D&D manuals, they're fairly priced - unlike other brick and mortar places that mark up to ridiculous amounts. I'd rather get manuals from here and chance upon a game instead of saving $1 or $2 online. Seriously, they're that fairly priced. The store seemed well stocked with a lot of different products. I was able to find some sleeves I had been looking for that were out of stock at my regular shop. However (and more to the point) I called ahead to see if they had any Star Wars destiny in stock. They replied they did have "plenty" of starters so I made the drive. When I arrived the guy working was happy to offer the two he had set aside. The problem - they were marked up 33% from MSRP. So shop at your own risk and keep informed. If you are calling around to find something make sure to ask what they are charging before headed up. Tier 1 games is a store that I actually recently discovered, I went in for the first time today (Saturday) and was very pleased with the card selection they had! Amazing how many cards they truly had in stock and my order was pulled promptly and without issue. My biggest issue was the AC, it seemed like it was very warm in there. If I was a store owner I would have my AC running at a nice brisk temperature not only for your employees but for us the customer. I didnt really feel like I wanted to sit down and game while sweating (im a bigger guy). All in all I was happy with it and I will go back. Hopefully they run the AC a little more and create a more comfortable gaming space because I could see myself gaming there. Until then I am still looking for my ideal gaming store! read more
