Great food. Good family place. Service with a smile. Cool atmosphere. I love seafood and this place does it very well.

Came here last week for my brother in law's birthday dinner. We had a group of 8 and sat in a large booth. The atmosphere is really nice, service was excellent and most importantly, food was great! We loved the ceviche, Brussels sprouts and calamari for appetizers and the portion size was great for sharing. I got the linguine and clams for my entree. Really good and flavorful. read more

We've been to High Tide many times, and the first few visits were great, but the last few just haven't been the same. Something feels like it might've changed maybe management, maybe the cooking staff I'm not sure, but the quality just isn't what it used to be. This time, I ordered the filet and it came out overcooked, and the risotto was super mushy. Even the steak knife was dull I couldn't cut the steak with it and ended up using the butter knife, which actually worked better. My boyfriend's food was good, and the service was great. The hostess was warm and welcoming, and the manager was nice and even gave us a free dessert, which I really appreciated. But for a bill that came out to around $225 for the two of us with only one glass of wine and two port dessert wines the meal just didn't match the price or the way it used to be. I left feeling disappointed, and honestly, it's put me off from wanting to go back. read more

We came to High Tide for happy hour and it was packed. We had a reservation, but we Said they could give our table to someone ordering dinner and we would sit at the bar. The restaurant is quite large, and the bar area has all high top tables Our server was very helpful-- when we ordered the ceviche, she let us know that their ceviche is a little different from most, and offered to bring us a sample. That was much appreciated! We ordered ahi poke tostada's (yummmm), fried Calamari, and ceviche. Along with our cocktails, we left with full bellies! read more

Food was fresh. Food was good. Nice servers. It's in Gilbert, so you don't need to drive an hour to get there.

We came in went up to the bar. There was three people working not one of them looked at us or said how may I help you finally after about 10 minutes we asked one of them if there was a bartender and they went and got one. Terrible service.! read more

High Tide is one of my favorite seafood restaurants in the valley. The "Hide Tide" steam pot is flavorful and rich, the chicken wings are nice and crispy, and the calamari is tasty. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The inside is spacious with a nice bar and there is also patio seating. I enjoyed the drinks as well. The only con is that the beignets were pretty bland and hollow. I did however like the chocolate drizzle that was on top. read more

This was our second visit and we were pleased that there was no gum in a cloth napkin this time! We came to celebrate Easter with family and had a nice round table with excellent service. The food was very good but didn't measure up to the excessive pricing. Will we go back? Perhaps, but there are other great places in the area with great food, service and lower pricing. read more

If you like seafood, this is the place to get it. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was great. No complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend High Tide. Hi read more

Pretty decent Happy Hour menu along with an extensive wine list that go well with oysters and other raw seafood they offer. I definitely recommend not just getting their "Happy Hour" oysters as those are pretty subpar. However, some of the other options for raw oysters were quite delicious in my opinion (and I've had fresh oysters straight from the Puget Sound in Seattle). Definitely order their Scallops on the half shell (comes in 1/2 dozen). Steamed black mussels on their Happy Hour menu is also good, I ordered this with a side of their Parmesan risotto my first time here. My second visit here was last night after I decided to stop working early. Had a glass of their Pinot Noir from Oregon (best Pinot Noir grapes grown in that region) to start along with the order of their raw scallops on the half shell (half dozen). Bomb diggity. I got hungrier after that first 9 oz glass of wine so I ended up getting a carb off their Happy Hour menu - crab cheesy bread, which was delicious! But the even more delicious combo was their Wedge salad and I added their garlic shrimp as my protein...the bleu cheese dressing is orgasmic! Definitely my seafood go-to spot for Happy Hour. Wedge salad with garlic shrimp added (blue cheese dressing was bomb) Crab cheesy bread read more

This is the 4th time we've been here and the best meal and experience yet! The first time we tried the pots and really didn't like them. We decided on a sandwich and fish and chips, excellent meal. You must try their peach coleslaw. It seems like the expanded the menu and there are so many different things to try. Our server was top notch and even after 7 years have gone by the place is still clean and fresh. Definitely worth coming back. read more

I was unhappy with my entree today and only ate a few bites and pushed it aside when I told the waitress she said she would let the manager know. They only took half of the price off because I ate some....three quarters or more was still Uneaten. Bad customer service. Will not return. read more

We came for a lunch business meeting and was pleased that it wasn't crowded for lunch. The staff was all really courteous and we selected the seafood pan roast to share. It was listed as market price. I don't know why neither one of us thought to ask, each thinking it would be less than $100 for lunch. When it came out, it looked really good, but the seafood was actually luke-warm and only the risotto was hot. It also seemed as though the same seafood could be served cold and was just added to the platter. The lobster tasted a bit soggy and definitely not fresh. It came with a little pouring cup of sauce and neither the server or manager knew what it was when we asked. They did find out and said it was a mix of butter, onions, broth, seasoning. When the bill came, we were floored when we saw that the platter was actually $165. I know we should've asked, but didn't expect the price to be so crazy high for lunch. It definitely was not worth $165. I had come one time, seven years ago and thought the food was just average. I definitely agree again, 7 years later, I still feel like the food is average and overpriced. read more

Yesterday my husband and I were on a date and we were drawn into High Tide because of restaurant week, and I was craving seafood. It did not disappoint! In fact, it was beyond our expectations. Their 3-course dinner was amazing! I highly recommend their seafood pot pie! It was generously filled with tender shrimp, scallops, crawfish & crab with a rich, creamy flavorful sauce (or gravy) unlike any I've ever tried before. Oh and it was topped with the perfect, buttery & flaky crust! High kudos to their Chef! The desert was an orange blossom super delish too! The ambiance is very nice and our food server was exceptional, fun & personable! High Tide is a very fine dining experience that's a must go to! read more

My husband and I popped in here for our 10 year wedding anniversary with a reservation. You definitely don't need a reservation here on a Friday night! They had plenty of tables. The ambiance was fairly casual but we felt fine in our business casual clothes. Staff were friendly and they didn't stop by the table often. The food was good! For seafood in arizona this wasn't bad. I had some fish paired with risotto that was tender and flavorful. Veggies were just steamed. Nice selection of wine. We each had a glass. And they brought a complimentary desert to celebrate with us nice touch. read more

I am making this review with great disappointment. Me and my family frequent. This restaurant may be once a week at the least once every other week one of our favorite spots great menu good staff great atmosphere. This visit was very disappointing in the fact that in our reservation, we noted that it was me and my wife's 26th wedding anniversary that we were celebrating with our family. There was no acknowledgment of this celebration. The waiter kept blowing it off like oh well good good for you guys good for you guys you know with no regard, meanwhile I am steady hearing birthday celebrations and birthday songs being sang to people at their tables. I didn't say anything the entire dinner didn't say anything when we got the check. I waited until I paid the bill in full and then asked the manager to come over after everything was bagged up and we were leaving out to express to him How disappointed I was in the fact that it wasn't even a courtesy, dessert or any type of, courtesy extended for our celebration. He went on to say that he didn't know he didn't see the happy anniversary sign on the table, but as I told him regardless, I did feel he should know because he was the manager and he had come over to the table once or twice to find a food issue, our server knew and no attempt to make the celebration feel special. And I also let him know this was not for us to get a free dessert we could pay for dessert, but it's just the fact that it was no courtesy extended to us on top of the amount of time and the amount of money that we spend in this restaurant mind you when we go our bill is never any less than $200 or $300, so I feel some kind away. I am very disappointed and contemplating if I will be taking this off of our list. The owner Chris got in touch with me after my terrible visit. He Expressed his heartfelt apologies. He offered me to come back in which he would give me a gift card for me and my family to celebrate the correct way . We did make our way back and everything was over the top as always, my faith is restored and one of my favorite spots and I can't wait to go back soon. Thank you Chris. You were great. read more

We made reservation at 6:15 pm this Friday 5/8/26. We showed up at 6:15 and was told by the hostess that "we will have to wait because the customers like to extended their time". I told her that I don't understand why?! I asked for the manager and he told me that I have a choice if I want to wait and I told him if I have my table in 5-10 mins, I will be OK. Additionally, I told him as the restaurant owner they should never accept a reservation if they don't have a table available. Then, he proceeded to rush getting a table ready for us. Go figure!!! This is what's wrong with today hospitality industry. In the old day, the manager would've never been promoted to the manager position when you don't understand the first rule of hospitality industry, "you take a reservation, you honor the reservation!" They need to train their employees including the unprofessional manager better. You don't ever make your customers feel like second class. The better answer would've been "we're getting your table set up/ready and it will take a few minutes." The only bright spot was our waitress, Ashley, she was courteous and her service was prompt and she was very accommodating. If you're at High Tide, ask for Ashley! read more

I took my wife daughter and grand kid here because I was in the mood for seafood. For appetizers I ordered their beachhouse oysters and blue point oysters and our favorite calamari. Both types of oysters were excellent. The calamari was good for long pencil style calamari but not like the normal round rings and legs would have been better. For the main meals we ordered seared jumbo scallops Braised beef short ribs and tide roast. The scallops I will say it was perfectly cooked and tasted good. The braised short rib was also good. The tide roast looked good it had shrimp crabmeat clams and crawdad meat in a nice cream sauce with a scoop of dirty rice. Only problem with this dish was the lack of flavor. I mentioned it to a manager who happened to come around asking how the food was and I was just being honest about it. He seemed shocked and almost didn't know what to say. He went to the kitchen and came back with a cup of broth they cook the clams in and I guess he thought it would give it more flavor. It didn't. Won't be getting this dish again but will try a different dish next time. Manager never came back again. The waitress was very good and we sat on the patio. Don't sit on the patio this time of year to many flies. read more

We decided to try this restaurant as it came recommended by a couple of friends. There's an outdoor eating area, and half of the restaurant is a dining room and the other half is a bar. We arrived early (5:00) on a Thursday night and we were asked if we had a reservation, which I thought was odd, given there were many empty booths. Since we did not have a reservation, we were asked if it was okay if we sat in the bar area. I don't like a sports bar atmosphere with TV's on, but since that was our only option, I agreed. Upon entering the sports bar area, I noticed a distinct fishy smell, which I didn't think was a very good sign. The server was attentive enough, but he seemed like he could have used some help, like the bar was understaffed. We ordered the sourdough loaf, a sushi roll, fish and chips for me, and my husband ordered the fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. The sushi arrived first, and when I picked up the pieces with my chopsticks, they fell apart, like they weren't rolled tightly enough. Tasted about mediocre, too. Next to arrive was our dinners. The fish and chips was very oily and the sweet potato fries tasted like they were frozen - strike 1. My husband's chicken had a very hard crust which he had trouble eating, and he said the mashed potato was very bland - strike 2. Finally, I noticed that the green beans were not de-stringed and the ends were not clipped off - strike 3. The sourdough was good, but not enough butter, and since the waiter was so busy, I didn't want to ask him for more butter. For the both of us with tax and tip the tab was $125. For that price, I would have expected a better meal. We won't be back. read more

Enjoyed a very nice dinner of Sea Bass with Risotto, friedleeks, asparagus, and mini tomatoes. I was hungry and ate the food before taking a picture (sorry). My friends ordered the salad with Green Goddess The salad was enough for two people. Our server was Sam and she had the best sense of humor to match the personality of my friend. Then we had coffee (cups are small) and shared the graham cracker crust Key Lime Pie. The manager checked on us to make sure we were happy. We arrived at 4:10 and by 5:30 it was full. Even bar seating was full. The food was hot and delicious. High Tide is very family oriented, babies to Seniors. It is pricy my tab was $54. I highly recommend this restaurant and reservations. read more

Still excellent after all these years! Just had a late lunch, ordered fish and chips as well as grilled fish tacos. As always it tastes great and it arrives to the table nice and hot. My husband made reservations and we couldn't get a booth, even though many were empty, because we needed a specific reservation for that (we had no clue). We started with the Brussels Sprouts appetizer, which was really good. I had the Ahi Tuna (without rice) and it wasn't anything to write home about. My husband had the Tide Roast (without rice), and he liked it but he's had that dish a few times. Most dishes come with pasta, rice, or risotto so if you're trying to go low-carb, good luck. Most also come with asparagus which, being from Florida, is odd for a seafood place. read more

Stopped in for a light lunch before a movie and ordered the calamari and tide roast. The calamari was okay --breading was decent but the dish was cold. The creamy citrus dipping sauce was better than the sweet chili sauce that accompanied it. The tide roast was AWFUL. It was a bowl of lukewarm, reheated, congealed goop with bits of undetectable seafood. If you've ever had pan roast in such places like the Oyster Bar in Las Vegas this is a very far cry from that. It honestly just tasted like lukewarm butter, and even the simple white rice was stale. One star for the blood orange mocktail and one star for the calamari. Definitely a pass if you're in the area --better off trying the fast casual foods nearby. read more

Our waiter John was the absolute best! He was so sweet and attentive to our very large group and even got all of the separated bills correct. He was smiley and polite. The food was really good. I got the spicy seafood pasta and it was really good, although the buttery flavor of it was really rich so I couldn't eat too much all at once.
