Carlos could have easily refused to try to find a replacement and push me into a 1800 shower valve replacement. Carlos came to clean our fountain and repair the pump. He did a great job of cleaning and got most of the scale out. I had to go over the lighting fixtures and base of the fountain to get the parts that were crusted on. He found the pump was not working and needed to be replaced. He ordered one and replaced later the next week. I found the new pump had rust all over it and questioned whether the pump was new or not. He said it was a defect and needed to be exchanged with the manufacturer. I asked for the invoice for the purchase and he stopped responding. He was supposed to leave a jug of descaler and he never did. Ultimately I am convinced he installed a re-manufactured pump instead of a new one, and charged me the full amount regardless. I was happy with his service but wish he would have been up front about what he was doing and not try to hide behind a remanufactured pump. I had more work to give him, but this experience leaves me unable to recommend his work. read more

We had a leak in the bathroom, and Sam came out to repair the disgusting, old galvanized pipe that was leaking. He came out the same day because we had to turn off the water to our house. As we was working, he noticed there was another galvanized pipe next to it that was looking in bad shape so he replaced both of them at no extra cost with great new copper piping. Are there six stars? Our new hot water heater suddenly didn't work. Carlos was there within two hours. He discovered that when PG&E did some work in our neighborhood, they triggered our gas shutoff valve. He fixed it, reset the heater, and presto, hot water. And no charge because we are under warranty. He also taught me how to reset it myself in the future.
