Both pumps were roughly in use 10 years, very honest service each time on multiple levels. Very reasonably priced, great response time and customer service. As a realtor, I was in the process of prepping a client's home for sale. The sellers wanted to use their existing pool service technician to inspect the pool and equipment. His assessment indicated a heater sensor was bad and said he'd order the part. However, after repeated follow up from the client, he failed to follow through. My client was tremendously stressed by the overall poor customer service. In the interim of trying to chase this pool service tech down, a month had passed, and we were now in contract w/ a short 15-day close of escrow. Aguilar Pool Company is the way to go! I had a nightmare pool situation that seemed to be neverending. To save you from the long story - ultimately it boiled down to me having a pool that turned green over the winter. Once the weather began to clear up, we hired an (unnamed) company to fix our problem - which we thought was a broken pump. We were informed that the pump was fine, but that we had a damaged filtering basket in the pump - quick fix! From there we spent over two weeks treating our pool to get rid of the algae. We were able to get the pool back blue from green. However, once it turned blue we just couldn't get it clear. It was very cloudy. We worked with Leslie's to test our water and get treatment recommendations but nothing seemed to work. Finally, we decided that it was time to hire a professional. I found Aguilar Pool Company on Yelp a while ago. I'd bookmarked them based on their location and superb ratings in case I ever needed their services. Welp, now was the time so I reached out by phone and spoke with Rickie. Rickie asked multiple questions to get a better understanding of my situation over the phone. He offered to stop by later that day. He arrived as promised and assessed our pool and equipment. He informed us that our single-cartridge filter was dilapidated and not strong enough to fight the problem our pool was having without constant, around-the-clock, hands-on labor. He was actually the third person to tell us this but we were hardheaded and decided to try the other way first. But, after hearing this again, we bit the bullet and decided to hire this company to do the job. A pool technician from Aguilar Pool Company (sorry, I do not remember his name) arrived at the scheduled time on time and completed the job in a few hours. I am writing this review on the following day and am happy to report that my pool is finally clearing up. Rickie and his team are true professionals in this industry. We were tired of seeing our pool green shortly after our pool guy would service our pool. Our service at the time was lacking in consistency and reliability. There were times we called and texted him to service our pool and he would tell us he was coming and not show, or would tell us he came but only to find out he lied after checking our cameras. Many times we had planned pool parties only to find our pool green with algae the day of the event. The only reason we kept him was his price and because he had been with us since we first installed our pool. The last of my frustrations was when we planned to have our daughters graduation party one weekend and the Thursday before, I checked on the pool and sure enough, it was green! I was DONE! These guys are great! We needed to replace our pool filter and heater at our home, and everything at the house was outdated - so it was a big job which required new electrical work, a new gas line, and a replacement of all the pool equipment. When things started to get a little complicated with our electrician, and I was concerned that I might relay incorrect information back-and-forth between companies, Rickie was kind enough to step in and get on the phone with our electrician personally so that we could ensure that the electrical work would be done correctly for when Aguilar came to update our equipment. It made my life so much easier, and I thought that it was an "above and beyond" thing to do. Not only that, but when we ran into a slight hiccup in the pool equipment installation (not their fault), Rickie came up with an innovative idea to make sure they could get the job finished and even made a special trip back to my home to temporarily hook up our new filter while we waited for them to come back out and finish up the installation within the following days. This helped me tremendously as the water was getting pretty green and would have worsened without the filter running, and it allowed us to save ourselves the expense and trouble of draining and refilling the pool. I submitted a quote to have an in ground pool pump and filter installed that I had purchased. Understandably, this isn't a professional's idea of a great time and some choose not to install customer purchased equipment. Rickie responded almost immediately with a quote and timeframe of when he could do the work. He stayed in communication and was very punctual the day of the repair. He cleaned up the site and disposed of the old equipment. The filter had a leak that was no fault of his work (why professionals don't care for customer bought parts). He took it in stride, ordered a new seal and returned to repair the leak. He only charged for the part, when he has every right to charge for the supplemental repair. I just bought a home with a pool and I have never owned a pool before. The pool was full of debris from the storms and I didn't know how to get the vacuum to work. I called Aguilar Pools on Friday and Ricky came out this morning (Monday) to give a free assessment. He taught me about the pool system and showed me how to turn on the vacuum and was able to quickly identify a few things that need attention to keep the pool in its best shape.
