Many went to voicemail, some said they weren't accepting new customers (without even screening the nature of the call), yet Cooper not only took my call, he came out that day in order to take a look at a loud noise coming from my equipment. Cooper was kind enough to push to make it to my house despite a busy schedule and while temps were over 100 degrees. We have used Pinnacle Pool to service our pool for the past couple of years. Everything was good until recently when Cooper started using other people servicing our pool. Although we still pay $95 dollars a month for service every week it looks like we don't even come close to that. Since June 23rd his company has only been out 7 times when it should have been 20 times. Not to mention that the guy he sends out spends 25 minutes sitting in his car doing who knows what before spending 3 minutes "taking care" of our pool. Today broke the camels back. Instead of putting the pump on top of the pool cover to pump the water off he just left. This is the service you use to take care of your pool! I'll try to brief because there's so much to say great things about Cooper. His company went over board with great honesty and service. I was amazed that out of 6 companies he was more honest about prices and equipments needed for my house in the Oakland Hills. There were other companies with quotes higher than his by at least $3,000 dollars. If there was a 6th star I would rate that for pinnacle pool, because at the same time Cooper was done my family and I went for a vacation to Yosemite for 6 days and he did not bother to ask for the payment. When I came back I did contact him and told him I'll leave a check in the mail box, got real busy never got to do it and he was very patient about it. Anyway he finally got his check and later that week I want to turn on the hot tub, it didn't work. So I text him around 9pm, thinking he will call me in the morning. If you have an old pool pump that won't start, call Cooper before replacing it! We had a couple different companies come out to fix the pump and quoted me thousands of dollars to replace it. They said it couldn't be fixed. Cooper came out and showed me how to manually start it. Not only did he get it working, but he showed me how to do it myself if it ever happens again! My pool was turned off months ago by my then pool service as I was told the main pump no longer worked, a few months later I was given another estimate of over $3,500 as I "needed" the new main pump, the sweeper motor and timer, and a whole new filter system. At the time I didn't have the funds and was going in for surgery and simply couldn't deal with it. This month I finally went about getting quotes. I contacted 4 companies, Cooper at Pinnacle looked more carefully than most and actually turned on the equipment and noticed the pump seemed to work. The pool was not full enough to run so he advised I fill it up enough to run the pump and run it and he would return in two days to do the leak detection at a reasonable price. I did as he suggested and the pump worked fine for two days running over 6 hours each day. He did the leak detection discovered a skimmer leak, did a temporary repair of that (will have it taken care of when the pool is resurfaced in a few months. He also agreed to return at no charge to do a final pressure test on the drain so that we know for absolute sure it is not leaking. He checked the pool sweep motor and the filter system and discovered that they are in perfectly good condition. Since I was convinced by the last service and other estimates that they needed replacing he could easily have installed new equipment. He fixed the skimmer and will return to repair a broken line in the above ground equipment, and did the leak detection for under $500. Sadly other pool places are obviously not honest. One actually told me that they could bid by the hour vs. by the job, but they would pad their hours so they made the extra money they wanted to make. As a disabled, over 60 year old female, he could easily have taken advantage of me. The fact that he didn't, and actually checked the equipment rather than just assume it all needed replacing, proves to me that this is a company I want to do business with, as well as let others know what a gem Cooper is. I called Pinnacle when my pool pump started screeching. I talked with Cooper and we made an appointment for a couple days later. On the phone he told me the cost to replace and said he would come by to verify I needed to replace the pump. He came by at the time specified and let me know he could replace the pump. Cooper replaced the pump but the suction was not performing as expected. We made another appointment and he again was right on time. He had a great attitude and was determined to resolve the issue. He researched the pumps and installed a new pump. He also repainted the PVC pipes and followed up with a call to verify the pump was working properly and to my satisfaction. If I have any other problems, Cooper will be the first person I call. It was a real pleasure and refreshing to work with a contractor who was on time and did what was agreed upon and even went beyond in level of service and commitment. read more

We have been disappointed by pool and leak detection companies in the past that had 5 star ratings on Yelp and we discovered they didn't deserve that rating. A well known leak detection company from Sacramento couldn't find the leak (a broken water line!) and charged us full price. We discovered Pinnacle Pool services the El Dorado Hills - Folsom area and gave them a try. Great decision! They came out and found the leak and pinpointed leaks from the return line and skimmer and repaired them both at a reasonable price. They also came out and diagnosed a failure in the air flow switch on the master temperature heater and repaired it on the spot. We later had them install a new swimming pool heater. This company is terrific and we will continue to use them for all of our swimming pool needs. read more

Be aware of the poor service once you subscribe. They tricked us into buying some remote control system that never worked on the app and my hot tub kept draining every time I turned it on. I purchased a house with a pool and will be the first to admit that prior to owning this pool knew nothing about pool care or maintenance. Due to the age of our pool and wear and tear we have noticed in the grout, I contacted Pinnacle Pool to in hopes of them providing guidance around whether or not I needed to replace the mastic I had done as part of a DIY project last summer and advice around replacing/repairing the grout. Even if you are busy call back! Does not take much! I have never changed my opinion about a review, however, since my last review Pinnacle Pool has contacted me to understand how they can help. I had a good first discussion with one of the owners and only a few days later Cooper came by and looked at our Pool leak. He found the problem fairly quickly and I believe most of the damage has been repaired. I lost more than one inch of water per day and Cooper took a lot of time to check various possible causes.
