Basin of the spa filled with water, presumably from rainwater penetrating the sides.

I purchased a new Chelsee 780 spa in late 2023. Didn't get a chance to power it until early the next year so it wasn't in use for a month. After initial test run I noticed that a water was seeping out one side near the bottom. On closer inspection I could see the basin upon which the unit sits had filled up with water an inch deep and there are no weep holes to allow water to escape. This basin is about 2" deep plastic box and lined with untreated lumber which is now soaked. Others online have commented that rain water enters the sides and collects so this is a design flaw. Not a comforting feeling sitting on 240 volts of electricity. In addition three of the jets popped out during the initial test and when I tried to get them back in they just wouldn't stay. Seems others also find this problem with the clips and recommend heating and bending the tabs. I didn't read that step in the owner's manual. If you spend thousands of dollars on something you expect some sort of quality. Edit - after contacting our sales guy the company got their act together and sent repair teams and remedied the leak and the panel - a disconnected jet air hose that made out of the factory. Things are working as expected at this point.

We purchased our new Sundance Spa after moving to Brentwood. It is our second Cameo since 2009 and we absolutely love it !!!! We wanted a refresher course on maintenance and chemical balance so we set up a appointment for a technician to come out. Jose Puente was our technician and he was terrific!!! He was very thorough about the entire spa as well as answering all of our questions. Super nice guy I would definitely request as a follow up should we ever need it.

When I called initially, I have to say, I was not met with the best customer service. I felt I was cut off when talking to her and she was abrupt when speaking to me. Luckily I got Justin again for maintenance. When I first met Justin he showed me what I need to do to keep my spa in top top shape. He wasn't wrong! I did what he said, but looks like the sensor went out. He came and fixed it! Justin is an outstanding person. You are lucky if you get him. The company is lucky that they have him. He is the only reason for the 5 stars.

    Beautiful new spa

We received our new spa on Monday and had it hooked up by our electrician on Thursday. Filled it and kept getting an error. Called the service department and they were able to get a service person out the next day. It was a minor issue and quickly resolved. Jose was professional and explained everything very thoroughly. Also our sales rep Dan D. has also been extremely helpful answering all our questions. Highly recommend this business.

If you are in the market for a spa, you owe it to yourself to stop by Creative Energy in Concord…read more Buying a spa was a bit of a learning and daunting experience for us, but the team here including Angela, Michelle, Jesse, Alex and Fred were simply old school customer service. Angela guided us through the selection process with a ton of patience and expert advice. Michelle helped us with some financial concerns. She was professional and articulate in explaining the benefits of doing business with her company. Jesse was outstanding coming out to our home and going through the options of maneuvering the spa from driveway to back patio, and is coming out again tomorrow to go through the spa sanitizing process. Alex did a quick turn around with his schedule so that he could take down a portion of our fence prior to delivery and then a day later come back and reinstall the fence panel afterwards. Finally, their electrician Fred came out to our house twice prior to doing the required electrical to discuss best case wiring option, and then again when we reconsidered which option to take. All the above is why you should consider purchasing your spa from a local dealer like Creative Energy. They walk the talk about customer service.

We spent about $20K on a new Highlife HotSpring spa from Creative Energy, installed in early 2024…read more Part of the selling point was the "awesome" warranty that was pitched as part of the sale. If you buy from Creative Energy, they are your dealer and they are your only source of warranty service if you live in the area. You are stuck with them, for better or worse. We have been meticulous about maintaining our tub. Well, as of now, we've had three issues with the tub, one with a drain valve cap not securing properly causing a leak, someone from the sales team coming with a new one, cranking it on as hard as they could to the point we could no longer remove it, not being able to stop the leak. So a technician, who was about as unfriendly and accusatory as it gets, comes out and gets the cap off and secures it properly. Frankly, it should not take a technician to get a screw-on cap on correctly. Of course, the technician tells us that it isn't a warranty issue. We then subsequently get a bill for a $150+ for a service visit, which was not communicated to us before said technician came. We complained and they did waive it as a "one-time courtesy". Courtesy for what? Their own sales representative who plays with their tubs every day not being able to fix what their nasty technician said was an "easy" problem to solve? Not too easy, obviously. Two issues already this year (2026). Our tub cover started to fray prematurely to the point that rainwater was getting into the tub and causing overfill. So we were heating more water than design and having to constantly pump water out. Fortunately, we were just inside the two-year warranty period for the cover (NOTE DIFFERENT PARTS HAVE DIFFERENT WARRANTIES). Unfortunately, Creative Energy does not stock covers (or at least the one we needed) and the replacement had to be made-to-order, which meant a many weeks wait. The real fun began when they told us that we had the option to come pick the hot tub cover up from them once it was actually ready, install it ourselves, and dispose of the old one ourselves or pay them a more than $225 or to deliver it, install it, and haul off the old one, for a warranty item! Most people don't have pickup trucks that can hold a 5-person tub cover (we don't!) and disposal would have cost us significant money to deal with it. It also would take us time to install the cover and who knows if we would be doing it right. I asked how much the cover itself ran and was told it was about an $800 part. So, for a warranty issue, we were asked to pay 25%+ to have it properly dealt with. After wasting time to complain again, Creative Energy did knock the fee down to $150, which still just seemed ridiculous. We were at their mercy though and had to pay it. The rationale they gave is that the manufacturer doesn't cover disposal or delivery/installation of a warranty replacement. Now we're at about a few weeks ago now, where I notice the tub is suddenly slowly leaking from its bottom (again tub is still under the "awesome" warranty). This time, it's a $159 charge just to get someone to come. Well, technician comes out the next day, with both my wife's phone number and my phone number in hand. Despite my request, the technician does not call me to let me know what he found despite my asking him to do so. I've never had a technician for anything leave me hanging like that. I hear back from Creative the next day that he can't find the source of the leak, and recommends that the entire tub be carted back to the shop for further investigation. Of course, that immediately prompts questions how is this going to work with the electrical work (not covered with the purchase) that I had do to get the tub wired, would I have to deliver the tub?, etc. Well, this person tells me that some other person will get back to me the next day because that was a different department. Of course, though, they're happy to send me the invoice for the service fee. Well, next day they don't believe their own technician and decide to send their service manager out for another look, but not until nearly two weeks later, all while the tub continues to leak. They did waive the $159 when the service manager told me that the previous technician basically did nothing. He comes out, finds and solves the problem very quickly, (a small plumbing fitting that needs replacement). So, while the manufacturer apparently covers labor, seems like the $159 I was originally asked to pay is just additional $$$ to Creative Energy for what turned out to be a nominally priced part. And, two more weeks of unnecessary leakage, thanks to it not having been properly diagnosed and fixed to begin with. Too much hassle, nonsense, and nickle-and-diming for a $20K high-end hot tub purchase. These folks are great when you buy from them, but will hide behind the manufacturer when things go wrong and forget that you are also their customer. At their mercy until the warranty runs out, but buyer beware.

We chose Hawkins to build our dream pool…read more After researching other pool companies, we chose Hawkins to build our dream pool. We did have the benefit of experiencing a Hawkings pool though a friend who was very satisfied with Hawkings, so we too entrusted Hawkings to build ours. From the design, through the construction and material choices, we relied on Hawkings for their opinions and expertise and I am so glad we did. The pool turned out awesome. We have a relatively narrow back yard, and it was slightly sloped as well so I wasn't sure what could be done design wise. Jeff designed a lap pool that tucked up nicely the backyard fence garden and retaining wall. He also designed a beautiful concrete paver patio that extends from the back of the house to the pool. The pool dimensions turn out to be 48' long by 8' wide 3.5'-4.5' deep. A perfect 1 lane lap pool. We relied on Jeff for all of the material suggestions, the Tahoe blue finish with blue tile work and dark gray auto-cover finishes the pool nicely. A major concern I had was how to get an excavator down our very narrow side yard. As it turned out, we had to temporarily remove our air conditioning unit to allow for a small 4' excavator to allow access to the back yard. Since the construction started mid September, we only had one day where we missed the A/C. It only took 3.5 days to excavate the pool using this small excavator. Gary our project manager was always available and when it came time to put in the pool equipment, we changed our minds on its location to the opposite end of our yard. Gary and team were able to rally around this change in requirement and accomplished this task without delaying the project. The rest of construction went smoothly. We were swimming by the end of January in our heated pool. Absolutely awesome. In addition to the lap pool we had a patio build that extended the entire width of the house and from the back doors all the way to the pool's edge. The team built a very smooth and tight paver patio that drains very fast when it rains. We are very pleased. I can't say enough about the professionalism of all involved with this project. I would highly recommend Hawkings Pools / Dana Lund Landscaping and all the subcontractors used who specialize in pool construction. If you want quality, then Hawkings is good value.

The project spanned six months and included a number of subcontractors. Jeff Jones was point man for the design, permitting, color & equipment selection and landscape layout. He thoroughly explained all project steps and was called upon many times for advice. Gary Irwin was our project supervisor. He was always just a phone call away and was on-site daily. Both men left us completely at ease and are true professionals. The subcontractors selected for site prep, plumbing, gunite installation, masonry, concrete pour, "wet edge" surface coatings, carpentry (for the pergola) and electrical were first rate, high quality service contractors. Their attention to detail was outstanding. We could not have asked for better service. John Rose, the owner, is a long term dedicated pro in pool building and has amassed a stellar team. We would highly recommend to anyone looking to build their next backyard oasis.

The masseuse begin at 5 and then at 5:50 she starts wiping the oil off with the hot towel and promptly ends at 6. Saying all done. I kept telling her we had 30 more minutes but there was language barrier. So whatever fine I got dressed. When I came to the front counter to pay she still trying to charge me for 90 minutes, I calmly explained that we only did the massage for 1 hour, the masseuse was sweet so I still tipped her 60 bucks like I normally do for a 2 hour sesh and just expressed that I should only be paying for 1 hour since that's all I received. She then started yelling at me that we don't like people who try to steal and took 20 dollars out her purse and threw at me and said I can't take the discount off the card. I told her nicely like hey. I'm not penny pinching or dishonest. I don't need your 20 dollars cash because I havnt even paid yet. Can you kindly just charge me for 1 hour and I will be in my merry way. And she continued to berate me while charging my card.
