Stole from us. Very untrustworthy guy. Many years ago, we hired him for monthly service, and not only were we unsatisfied with his weekly cleaning... He wanted $2,200 to replace our pool filters when it costs less than $200. After that experience, we decided to let him go and switch to another provider to maintain our pool. In retaliation, he stole our pool vacuum and refused to give it back. He claimed that he leased it to us, but that was definitely not the case. I have been meaning to review this company for awhile. I would give them minus 5 stars if I could. Absolutely horrible experience and no sense of customer service at all. I used their service for about a year after they took over from my prior pool service company. The first couple times the owner came out and everything seemed good. However, they then had a manager handle my account and things went downhill quickly. The manager struggled to figure out what day it was, when they were supposed to come out or even who was servicing my pool. I complained multiple times without it any change in the service. The owners seemed to spend no time on the business and let an inexperienced manager essentially run it. After multiple problems, I terminated their service. I had prepaid for the last month and after telling them I was cancelling, they told me they would return the last month's payment since they didn't provide any service for that month. They then never sent me the last month's payment. I followed up several times and they never returned my calls or emails. Their poor business practices, poor customer service, and lack of proper management is why I cancelled. I have worked with a lot of businesses and this one tops my list of the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I found another service that is awesome and would recommend 100%! He actually cares about his customers, personally services every account and provides great service. And, he actually shows up and does the work when he says he will ... Imagine that! read more

This company has the worst customer service ever. Their billing is not accurate and every month I was getting billed incorrectly. They just don't have a good system in place. We liked our pool guy a lot and he did a very good job but I just couldn't deal with the lack of system in place with the company. The owner Keith is a little bit of a hothead, and would not take responsibility for the billing problems. they have had employees come and go that did not know what they were doing. The customer service is terrible. I think they are flying by the seat of their pants operating this business. I was skeptical when I first met the owner because he looked like a drug addict with missing/rotten teeth and talking really fast, like he was on speed I should have paid attention to my initial gut feeling! We started a backyard remodel that required us to drain our pool for a few months while they completed the work - which included retiling the pool. When it was time to restart the pool I contacted my previous pool service company to start back up (I had been using them for the past 3 years since I purchased the home) and they told me sorry but they are not accepting any new clients. After getting over my disappointment- I contacted several pool companies. Either they never returned my calls or gave me quotes for service that were insane. I had so many questions on how to restart the pool correctly, how to make sure the equipment was running correctly - I was stressed and frustrated trying to figure out what to do. A neighbor recommended Prestige and I called them and left a message. Within an hour they called me back - unfortunately I was at work and couldn't answer their phone call. Keith ended up stopping by my house and speaking to my wife. He said they would be back on Monday to help with the pool start up. A few days later DeyDey called me on a Sunday to follow up with me. DeyDey stopped by on Monday and helped get the pool up and running. He found a few pipes that had been cracked during the construction and either pointed them out to the contractor to fix or fixed them himself. He also gave us a very competitive and reasonable price on adding solar heating to our pool - which we took him up on. Since DeyDey has found and fixed some other issues either pool that the contractor caused. He's gone above and beyond what I could ask for in a pool service company. Thank you! During construction unforeseen issues alway come up. Ours included needed new wiring and lights for our pool - wires were corroded when it was opened up. Our contractor brought in his own pool guy that he worked with. He seemed knowledgeable and we had the wires completed by an electrician and he was going to order lights. Weeks turned into months and I never heard from him. I basically had to chase him down to get answers to the lights. He told be due to Covid the lights were back ordered and should be in soon. After another month and not hearing back I chased him down and now he tells me the lights are discontinued. read more

We used Prestige pools for many years until our account was turned over to another company. Keith spoiled us with great and timely service. We are so disappointed in the new person who took over our account. Poor service required us to terminate their services. We really miss Keith at Prestige. Never had to worry about our pool and wonder if we'll ever be able to find someone who can equal his performance. read more

My realtor suggested these guys to an inspection. Needless to say the service was great. Keith came over walked me through the process of his inspection, and when I asked about making some changes he gave me an honest answer (something you don't get often without people trying to take more money out of you). I have no complaints about the rates and the upgrades are coming along nicely. As a first time homeowner I'm happy with Prestige Pools, the service is way better than what I was getting from other pool service when I was renting. read more

As much as I don't want to give a one star review, in this case, I just have to because I feel ignored and their ridiculous billing has not ceased even though they haven't done work for us since October. I have paid all my bills upto the time they've worked for me. At the beginning, they were good. However, I decided to end their service when I noticed that they were not arriving on time and their cleaning was not good. (We leave our side gate open for them to clean during business hours. They arrive at 530pm. Of course, our gate will be closed. They still billed us complete for September.) I'm attaching screenshots of the email I sent them to stop their service prior to the start of their October service. Our pool gate has been locked for them ever since and they couldn't enter the house. Then we receive months after months of monthly Billings after that. I called them every time but they never did anything. I'm fed up when I saw this month of January's billing amounting to $688. I called them again. Funny thing is, this business has two business names. I hired Shipley Pools but they bill me under Prestige Pools. So... I don't know what funky thing they're doing but if this doesn't stop, I'm going straight to BBB for harassment. This is stressful. Stress makes me take meds. For the past two years Prestige Pools has serviced our pool and we are extremely satisfied with the professionalism of the company. Our personal pool person is the very friendly, Rod. He arrives every week with a smile on his face and does us the courtesy of calling 15 minutes before arrival. The PH is balanced, the pool is sparkling clean all the time without any harsh chemical smells. If I have a question, I can call or email the owner, Keith, and he responds expediently. When I needed a pipe repair, Keith's brother, Harry, arrived immediately to fix the leak. Keith is very unprofessional and rude. I was referred to him by John Shipley's pool service as John only does Commercial now. He does not return phone call's. His crew does not show up to clean pool and Keith says they do. He screams and is very abusive on phone. You will regret if you hire this company. I only had him one month and nothing but problems! I believe he is too busy to service people after receiving John's business. Today I ended service with him and I told him I would put a bad review on yelp he came back with he would put a bad report on me as I am in Real Estate and he has not even ever used me. Another unhappy customer. Our realtor used them to inspect our pool before purchasing our home. The inspector seemed to be knowledgeable and he mentioned that they offer a month of free cleaning with the inspection. After buying the house, I gave them a call and Keith came out. He seemed to be okay, but he spent all of 10 minutes removing leaves. He was scheduled to come out the week after, but did not and no paper was left behind. On the third week he left a paper saying he couldn't clean because of the rain. He also left behind a paper from the previous week and said it was too windy to clean. However, I pulled up the weather report and there was no such problem. To top it off Keith had taken a pop-up filter because he said he needed the model number to order a new one. That was on the very first visit. When we expressed how dissatisfied we were, he said not a problem I will return the filter. He never came by on the day he said he would and had not responded to any texts. They are not to be trusted. My realtor ended up contacting them, and the original inspector came to return the filter saying that Keith was trying to fix it for me. When I corrected him and said there was nothing wrong with it that it was taken for the model number, he said "Oh well, here you go." No apologies for our trouble and time. Not to mention the filter was returned damaged. Do not go with this company for an inspection nor cleaning services. They are completely unreliable and shady. read more

Unreliable and definitely not professional. Never kept the scheduled time to have the pool maintained. The worst part is that the weekly service call was 10 minutes to get the leaves out of the pool. Never PH balanced the water and just over chlorinated it to dangerous levels that it actually faded the swim suits. This is not what pool service is supposed to be like. read more

Prestige Pools is unreliable and unprofessional. Our realtor hired this company to inspect our pool and the service included an pool orientation for the homeowner. After they performed the inspection it took several attempts to reach Prestige Pools to schedule our orientation appointment. After employing the help of our realtor they finally called us back and scheduled our orientation appointment for Tuesday June 9th but they were a no show without calling. Prestige Pools called us back to reschedule on Wednesday June 10th, again only after our realtor contacted them. He rescheduled our orientation appointment for Friday, June 12th and offered us a free pool service for the inconvenience but he failed to show a 2nd time without calling. The owner accidentally called my husband back an hour after the 2nd missed appointment because he "had a missed call from this number". After realizing who he was speaking to he gave another lame excuse but offered to come right over. Needless to say, we said no thanks. We paid for a service and Prestige Pools did not deliver. If you decide to use the company DO NOT pay them all the money up front. Fortunately my realtor is reimbursing use for the cost of the inspection so we will use that money to have our pool inspected by a different company. Prestige Pool's unreliability and unprofessionalism makes me doubt the quality of their inspection. read more

To follow up on Lizzette's comment that this company is "unreliable and shady," I must agree. Keith showed up at our house yesterday (Wed., June 14, 2017) without an appointment - we NEVER requested or agreed to any kind of service. He walked into our backyard and hooked up our pool sweep! We've just completed a complete pool remodel and the sweep cannot be installed at this point in the project. Had our pool been a plaster bottom, it could have been damaged and we'd be in for thousands of dollars of repair, which we would have been sure to make Prestige pay for. Our pool service company (we already had one!) will come out today to be sure everything is in working order. I texted to find out if they had come to our house, and he texted back "Don't think so..." and "Could have been my guy. Then realized it's a new pool?" Really? Wouldn't you think you know when you're coming to a house you've never been to before? And nobody gave permission to do so? The other companies returned our calls and said if we still needed service, they would be happy to assist, but no one just showed up at our house and went into our yard...and touched our equipment! Pretty sketchy operation for sure. UPDATE: Our pool company came out and discovered that Prestige had been here on Monday as well without our permission! And yesterday, they also turned off our equipment and placed two chlorine tablets IN OUR SKIMMER! We are in the start-up phase of our renovated pool and the pump must run continuously. Chlorine tablets can also be destructive to the entire system, especially to any metal parts and should never be put in the skimmer basket! In addition, they left a note in our mailbox, which is a federal offense. read more

I recently terminated their services after a couple of years. During that time it was a hit or miss with them- Keith can respond instantly to my phone call or text and it can take him a couple of weeks to address the issue at hand without even replying. I had two pool under service with him and he made sure that I was somehow satisfied. Once It became only one pool- he ignored me completely. I was billed for a filter cleaning that never happened and I was promised it will be done " tomorrow" when I called to explain I wanted to use the pool and get it heated and the heater will not work if the filter is not functioning properly. Well tomorrow never came . That was the week before Memorial day. And he finally answered my call when I left a message saying that I m terminating my services because I am very dissatisfied with how he handles the communication, and the quality of the service I am getting. I have no problem with his pool guy that cam by to clean the pool.Very nice young man. My problem is with Keith he is not reliable, has very poor communication skills with lousy followup. read more
