I've been here twice, and I'm sure I have a firm opinion about this café by now. The café's food could taste better. It's definitely not known for their food whatsoever. It has its charm elsewhere - the relaxing aesthetics and ambiance. There are plants everywhere as an extension of the plant nursery. There are also not as many bugs that I expected from the plants, which is a great plus for me. I hate bugs. Expect to wait nearly an hour for most party sizes. I've waited 45 mins for a party of 2, and 1 hour for a party of 10 people. I have also heard varying party sizes that were given the same ETA as I was waiting in line. The black coffee is okay at best. I expected a more coffee flavor. The latte was too sweet even though I asked for half syrup. I've tasted a few foods. The crab benedict was bland and dry. I wasn't expecting anything too amazing, but I'm pretty certain that it was canned crab, which is okay, but they need to better prep it. With better preparation, I believe it could taste much better. I also tried the roasted turkey sandwich. Somehow it was also dry and bland. I saw the blue cheese dressing, yet I could barely taste it. It was barely on it and hence the dry sandwich. Plating is deceiving because the dishes are plated well. The servers look stressed (but polite). Always running around and barely comes to your table. It's hard to get their attention to even pay for the bill. You're left staring at the pretty plants in the surroundings. I waited 30 minutes for the food too. The parking lot can get packed, but it's manageable. Overall experience: glad I tried the café out; worth going to, but not a regular spot for me because the food could be much better. Always fabulous here. Pulled pork on a bun with coleslaw was excellent., pomegranate wine spritzer was refreshing and yummy. Service a+ and the setting within the greenhouse has heaters overhead, surrounded by plants and trees. So beautiful. Christmas lights lovely. read more

The wait was around 1 hr 15 min, but the fact that you were able to explore all of the various plants and buildings makes the wait go by so quick. Fantastic! Cute lunch spot perfect for moms who brunch, dates or families! Can truly do it all 3 perfectly. In the mix of the nursery and flower shops it's so picturesque. The pizzas are amazing, tri tip sandwich was on point, I heard the tuna melt is great and I did a split for sides 1/2 potato 1/2 pasta salad and I actually prefer them in compliment with one another! What a beautiful hidden gem! This spot was giving brunch, bridal shower, country chic vibes! Delicious menu options. The brisket hash was very tasty although a little dry but the pancakes were very large and delicious. Our server was attentive and helpful. Had my first brunch experience here this lovely Sunday and I want to say this place is absolutely beautiful. I love how the indoor seating is spacious but you're literally sitting in are with a green house feel. The outdoor seating is in the nursery area filled with plants, flowers and a koi pond. okay so for food I ordered the veggie omelette which came with potatoes and a scone on the side. it was amazing and everything was cooked and served impeccably. The service was quick and our waitress was so sweet and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. After my meal I did walk around to the plant shop and olive oil tasting spot they have in there as well. Finally had a chance to come here. It's such a beautiful venue surrounded by the open nursery, lovely pizza ovens, additional wonderful garden like settings outdoors. A tranquil koi pond, greenery everywhere and hearty meal options. I had the smoked beef brisket which was very filling with a half slice and flavorful. I enjoyed the crispy ends of the brisket and bread-Swiss cheese and caramelized onions felt blended in. I really liked the potato salad-you can taste the fresh dill. I had a taste of the crab cake which was crusted well and packed with taste. Brunch sounds like a fun future option. I wish this place was closer, it's perfect in every way. The cafe has delicious food, drinks, snacks, full bar - all the things you could possibly want. And it's attached to one of the most beautiful nurseries in northern CA. We've eaten here a couple times. Service is friendly, food is good quality and well executed. Unfortunately I'm celiac so I can't get down on that wood fire pizza they offer but the salads and apps I've had were delicious. Their housemade chips with dip are Awesome! If you have someone who isn't entirely interested in the nursery but want some theoretical company bring em along and park them at the cafe then you wander and shop the nursery to your heart's desire! This has been on my list, but I don't ever find myself in Loomis. There was a bit of a wait when we came here for brunch. We made use of our time by exploring the beautiful nursery, and there was a lot to admire. Once seated, we started off with a pitcher of the hibiscus sparkler that was recommended by our waitress. I'm glad we tried this and I especially enjoyed the hibiscus flower at the end. For my entree, I had the huevos rancheros. It was just ok to me. Everybody else enjoyed their food though. So...it is my birthday today I was asked to find some place to eat brunch for my daughter and I, went on YELP wanted to go somewhere new, found this place...OMG!!! This place is AWSOME!! Beautiful outdoor seating (they have misters in certain areas), lots of shade. I thought this was only a nursery have driven by several times but, no, there is a restaurant/cafe and a small shop with treats. I ordered a Bloody Mary and my daughter had a pomegranate mojito both were delicious. Order the house made potato chips comes with an artichoke lemon dip the chips are huge. I also ordered the Grilled Shrimp Salad and my daughter had the Rotisserie Chicken wood-fired pizza (good size very shareable for 2.) and for dessert Blackberry lemon cobbler that we shared, very good. I love this place. The first time I went here with my mom a few months ago, I really enjoyed it and wanted to bring my bestie back with me. The service is good (although they're very busy so it's not a quick meal) and the food is so tasty and whole and healthy. My single ladies group and I went here for lunch as it is always talked about as one of the best places to eat and shop at the nursery. The nursery is awesome. The Ambiance is excellent and makes you feel very welcome. It is absolutely gorgeous. Service was excellent as well. The food was lacking in so many ways, mostly sandwiches for lunch but they were all dry and could not be eaten. I had the BBQ pork and it was dry. My friend had the turkey sandwich and it was hard as rock, another 2 ladies had the tri-tip and they were dry. The only thing that two of our 9 ladies ordered were the fish tacos as those were good. The wait wasn't an issue because we were able to walk around the nursery and look at some small shops around the area. Service was great and friendly! They gave great recommendations. Food was pretty good. My friend and I ordered the pizza (half almond wood bacon & pear - half rotisserie chicken) to share, and our table ordered the house made potato chips with lemon artichoke dip. If you haven't been to High Hand Cafe in Loomis, CA, you're missing out. That's exactly how I felt about five steps into the property. The day was beautiful for outdoor dining and we were almost bummed to have such a "short" wait time of one hour because that meant we'd have less time to explore the wonderful plants. This nursery and cafe is hands down, my favorite spot so far. The space is an absolute gem for anyone who loves plants or even has a small interest in them, honestly. The menu is diverse and offers fresh and creative dishes. We went with one of the wood fired pizzas with the asparagus salad with some cocktails. Service was great and it was wonderful to be outside in such a great space. After lunch, we went back for our plants and other goodies; and we will be going back. My friend and I went to High Hand today for brunch and I have to share my experience. We've been here many times before and we've never experienced service like today. The food was good, the ambiance here is a vibe, so beautiful. But todays server was extremely rude. She snatched the menu out of my hand to give to another party. She never came to check in on us either. I don't understand how one can be so rude as a server. I hope she has a better day. They also gave me the wrong sandwich- I ate it bc she never came back to check on us.
