The dining room was fairly empty but our server explained they just started brunch service & are working on getting the word out. I enjoyed the Roseville Omelet. It was GREAT! Generous portion, ingredients were really fresh & it wasn't too heavy. It didn't seem like it was cooked in a ton of oil like some greasy spoon diner (which are great btw). Despite how filling it was I didn't feel overly full. The potatoes were nicely seasoned, as well. My husband had the Breakfast Burrito & said it's in his top 3 burritos!! Not an easy ranking to earn! The food, drinks and ambiance all hit at Range and I'll be back for another Wine Wednesday because for the price of 2 glasses of rosé, you get an entire bottle! We tried almost all the specials, including cioppino, a peach, garlic bechamel, arugula, prosciutto, balsamic pizza and chicken parm and enjoyed everything. The chicken parm had the right amount of breading- was lightly crispy on the outside with tender meat on the inside. The pizza had that farm-to-fork fresh flavor and the house ranch was a nice accent. The cioppino looked inviting and was nicely seasoned and flavorful. My friend thought the rosé sounded good so we ordered 2 glasses. Our awesome server told us they have a Wine Wednesday deal, so we ended up ordering the whole bottle and it was fire; we agreed we'd order it again. They have a nice room in the back for private parties or for anyone wanting to look at the beautiful landscape behind the restaurant and the whole restaurant in general is a nice setting for dinner or drinks (they have wine, beer, n/a and soju cocktails). Great ambiance, seating, and flexibility - it's great for a date night, catching up with friends, and is also family/children friendly (enough background noise where you don't need to worry about your chatty kids bothering anyone). Food is solid and hearty, with rich elk and tasty burgers cooked medium rare and juicy. Servers are friendly, courteous, and prompt. Parking is plentiful in the adjacent lot. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but their happy hour menu is a bit more standard/reachable for a casual night out. Beers and cocktails are well made and delicious/refreshing. The Elk Pops was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the scallops were perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the asparagus and bean puree. The atmosphere was modern and comfortable. I had the trio of sliders and it was excellent. I really like the chicken slider the best because of the coleslaw. The main problem I had was that it was so hot inside. It had to be in the mid 80s. I don't know why it was so hot in there other than it was a hot day outside, but it didn't seem like they had their air conditioning set correctly. read more

Came in on a Saturday with the fam for breakfast since The Pantry next door was packed. The host was inviting and convincing to have us try this place as we stood near the door. Place was relatively empty with a table for 2 the only other guests here at 10:45 am. We ordered the following dishes: the Confit Chicken Hash, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Chicken Fried Chicken and a side of sliders. All dishes were good, except for the pancakes which were dense and faint taste of lemon. The fried chicken breast were moist and crunchy on both dishes, and the sliders were good. Once the lunch hour hit around noonish, people began to fill the restaurant. Once we began to head out, I looked around the tables and noticed a lot of burgers and pizzas being ordered. A place that I have been meaning to try for a while but never got to it....and finally we're here. I would have tried something else but I had literally just gotten done eating an entire pizza 4 hours prior so I got the beet salad cause I'm healthy or something. I opted to spend $6 to get 3 pieces of shrimp bc I'm ballin out of control. For $21, I would have expected more than just arugula, 3 pieces of shrimp, and 2 beets but here we are. The wife got the burger done medium. Medium is pink all the way through in case youre wondering. The meat must be ground in-house bc it had 3 or 4 big pieces of grissle/hard cartilage... I don't mind the cartilage in the grind, but this needed to be ran through again in a finer die. Fries are like In-N-Out fries....except they're good and dont need to be ordered light well. Fresh not frozen. Sodas are $3 and canned, no refills. No bang for the buck. Some positives, some negatives. Would I come back.....eh... maybe. 3 stars. read more

Range is in the same strip mall where Bad Bakers is located in Roseville. Also conveniently close to Roseville Sutter which comes in handy. While some may label Range as being a "strip mall restaurant" for lack of a better word, the decor is tastefully done with comfy bench seating and references to cows hence the name. Upon entering I stood awkwardly for awhile and finally asked someone if I could be seated. Once seated, the service got better and was much more attentive. Met a friend here for dinner and despite the nod towards beef, I opted for the beet salad ($15) with a side of grilled chicken ($5). As a fan of beet salads, Range did not disappoint with its accompanying arugula, micro greens and creme fraiche. The chicken was tender and not dry. I'll probably be back to try the beef at some stage! read more

We were in Roseville today and wanted to try something new. My family and I were searching for places to eat and stumbled upon this restaurant. Upon entering, the host greeted us and was very inviting. She also gave us menus to look at and did not pressure us at all to eat here. After looking over the menu, we decided to give this place a try. The ambiance was very elegant with live music and modern decor. One aspect that really stood out to me was a separate dining room that was separated with a barn door. After being seated, our waiter immediately got our table waters and after spilling a little on the floor, he was quick to clean up the wet spot on the. My family decided to get multiple dishes so that we could all sample each item. The fried chicken and waffles were solid. The waffle was nice and crispy and the chicken was tender and crispy as well. The fruit was fresh and sweet. The lemon ricotta pancakes were a bit dense and dry but the lemon flavor really stood. I liked how there was a layer of cream between pancakes, which helped moisten the dish. The confit chicken and hash was decent. I asked for the potatoes to be extra crispy, which was done to perfection. The egg was over easy and perfectly cooked. The chicken had a good amount of seasoning but was a little dry. As for the chicken fried chicken dish, the chicken itself was moist, tender, and crispy. The carrots were seasoned well but the mashed potatoes lacked seasoning. My overall experience was satisfactory and I would return for brunch if I was in the area again. read more

Love this place. Food is top quality, obsessed with their beer salad and mushroom pizza. I forget the specialty lattes they made but it was delicious. Have been here about a dozen times and service is always great. Cute restaurant. My toddlers love this place too. My first visit here but my two kids and their uncle are clearly frequent flyers. The eldest wanted to have his celebratory birthday meal here and the rest of us were eager to finally check it out. Glad this kid finally decided to make a decent decision (that's my "raising a teenager" joke for the evening). Steven set us up with a table for 9 at the back of the house and it was absolutely perfect. Gorgeous view to the nature preserve behind the restaurant and slightly cordoned off from the main dining area. 2 Bison burgers & fries, Bison sliders and fries, Mushroom pizza, Mac & cheese, 2 meatball dishes, and meatloaf order -all a home run. Yes, you read that right, ALL A HOME RUN. Service was a 10 (thank you Steven, and also the group photo you took turned out great). Whether there are two of you or ten.. this is the spot. We were super excited to try range, kitchen and tap. Diners tip: make reservations. They do take walk-in diners, but this is a smaller restaurant, and if you're dining during typical dinner hours, a reservation will help. We were greeted by a server, not a seating hostess. There were no signs of tables being marked with the reservation card, Syd almost seemed silly to have preemptively made a reservation, just to be seated pretty much wherever. As it turned out, the server that seated us, apparently was the server for the entire restaurant. Yep, one server for an entire restaurant with tables that were filling up with multiple sized parties. Maybe she's one of the owners, or maybe she's just a very overworked server. In any case, it was obvious that she was trying to keep it together while serving all of the tables. Well, I feel for her situation, the Service across the board was not great. We had to specifically say we wanted to order an appetizer and drinks, and being able to do that wasn't offered to us. It pretty much felt like place your order and let's keep moving. We ordered the artichoke and boar dip. Best choice on the menu! The dip was served with seasoned pita. It was the perfect amount of pita, with the generous amount of dip. Please keep this on your menu! It's excellent across the board. Super tasty, and just one of the best appetizers that we've had as of late. Took quite a while for the server to come over and take our dinner order, and I had a few questions about some of the menu items, by the time she came to the table, I ended up settling for a burger. Not what I really wanted, in fact, we both ended up ordering burgers. One bison, burger, and one beef burger, served cowboy. The bison burger has an up charge of two dollars. The cowboy burger is supposed to be served with bacon, whiskey barbecue sauce, fried onions, and produce. Pictures are worth 1000 words, and I've now learned that sometimes things look better than how they taste. The beef burger tasted like meatloaf between two less than tasty buns. The whiskey, barbecue sauce, it might be made in house, but someone definitely needs to taste it before they serve it. It was bitter and did not help the burger. The fried onions were pretty much nonexistent , and the bacon was more on the underdone side, rather than on the done or even slightly crispy side. They all overall taste was really unappealing. The server came to check on us when it was time for her to drop off the check. So there was no way to really possibly correct the issues with both burgers. I was looking forward to a different type of dining experience, and it's sad that this isn't a restaurant that will be on our regular rotation. read more

I just tasted a leftover piece at home and I think it tastes even better then fresh as the cheeses Solidified and flavors melded together fyi. The jalapeño popper pizza was better warm as the thin seasoned crispy crust tastes better that way. It came with perfect pickled jalapeños that were tangy with a bit of heat, pepperoni, good sized bacon pieces and a drizzle of ricotta cheese. Both were yummy with nice thin crusts seasoned with herbs and Parmesan at the edge The boyfriend wanted to try the Cowboy Burger sub bison for $2. It came with Whiskey barbecue sauce, fried onions, cheddar cheese, pickles, lettuce and tomato on a toasted brioche bun. It was good, not as sweet as expected more tangy from the bbq sauce and pickles. The bun did get soggy but it was still good. Not 5 stars cause unfortunately, of the three food items, two of them was very lacking. Mac and cheese- cheese was very liquid like and falls off the noodles. On top of that lacked seasoning. Tried this spot for the first time since it's conveniently located near The Pantry and we did not want to wait two-hour for The Pantry/ The ambiance and overall vibe were great, and the brunch offering was a nice draw. Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the experience we were hoping for. One of our coffees was forgotten, and when our food arrived, it was handled carelessly--items were placed on the table and then picked up by hand and put back on the plate, which was off-putting. The missing coffee was only brought near the end of our meal after asking for it twice and gave up on it. To their credit, the lead server removed the coffee from our bill, which we appreciated. However, service quality plays a significant role in the overall experience, and this visit fell short. While the location and atmosphere are appealing, the service needs more consistency and attention to detail. read more

This is a cute little hidden restaurant that I came across this weekend when looking for something new to try. My daughter and I tend to go to the same spots so we decided to try something new. We started off with the appetizer l: Mac and cheese (highly recommended). My daughter had the rosemary lemonade- loved it! My daughter and I both had specials that are not on their regular menu. Nice place, stopped here for dinner after an event in the area. It's located in a strip mall so plenty of parking. Our server was excellent, very attentive but not so much that it's annoying. The food: We ordered the deviled eggs as a starter and they were delicious. Then the pizza came, I ordered the Margherita, and it had sliced tomatoes on top of it. A classic Margherita doesn't have this so maybe this is just something this place does. Either way, too many tomatoes and not enough mozzarella or basil. We also ordered the apple crisp for dessert, this has room for improvement also. Instead of the usual streusel on top there was just some sadly undercooked oats. They also left the skin on the apples, which is fine if the apples were actually cooked through. There aren't actually a lot of vegetarian or vegan options, so don't bother stopping in unless you are okay with cheese and eggs. read more

We ordered the chicken and waffles and the biscuits and gravy, and both were absolutely delicious. Came here with a friend after work on a Friday after work. Service was quick and nice, we were seated quickly and ordered a beer each, a salad to share and 2 pizza's. Pizza's were good but extremely pricey for the size of them. It's about the size of a personal pizza for $22 dollars - those are the cheapest.. it goes up for I think $26. You can definitely get your money spent in another place for a much larger piece of pie. The cider was out but the blonde ale was good! I think my friend got a Pilsner. She also enjoyed her beer. I randomly came across this place looking up lunch in Roseville, and I was intrigued by their beet salad. Not very many restaurants have golden beets available and they are my absolute favorite! I was picking up an order at the galleria so I figured I would stop by for lunch and I am so happy I did. It was empty as I guess they were closed on Monday's for the last 7 years! I of course opted for the beet salad with prawns and my LAWDDDDD was it everything I dreamed of and more!!!! Usually most restaurants use a yogurt dressing and it ain't it, but they use a lemon vinaigrette and it's absolutely amazing. I also chose the Wild Forager and I love that even though it's a mushroom pizza they add bacon because it's perfect! My server I believe was Avalon and she was great, she had a lot of recommendations and seems knowledgeable in their menu which I can appreciate it. Didn't quite make a mark on us, which is probably why it took us 6 years to give them another try. Glad we did. This time, the food and drinks impressed us. Having a rotating menu with beer and wine for alcohol options, they keep it simple. Happy Hour Red (Paso Robles Cabernet) $6 and a Hazy IPA were my drinks. Wife wanted a cocktail, but they don't have any. The dishes we got were the Deviled Eggs, Bison Sliders, Beef Sliders and The Forager Pizza. The cheesy & lean bison burgers and the truffle pizza are very good points for us to come back. Being seated at the bar, we were witness to how the pizza and other baked dishes were prepped. We ordered dinner takeout from here. We got a couple of different pizzas, meatballs, and salads. The pizzas are enough for one person, but can also be split if you order a couple of things and share. Our group ordered cheese, margherita, and the forager pizzas. I really liked the forager pizza. The truffle oil was fragrant and I liked the bacon flavor with the mushrooms. The meatballs come four large to an order. We also ordered the beet and Caesar salads. We ordered chicken to add to the Caesar salad and it came with a whole chicken breast on the side, so plenty of it. The beet salad was nice and light with a little bit of cheese. Ordered take out pizzas using the app provided in their website. Smooth and seamless purchase. Food was ready in 30 min as the app stated. I arrived right as they were coming out of the oven. Both are delicious but I have to nod towards the traditional link. The popper is good and the flavor is spot on for a popper. Maybe my tastebuds were leaning towards a more traditional pie. Others preferred the popper to the Italian. Either way all were happy. Both crusts are crunchy even after a 10 min ride home to the hotel. Glad we tried the range and would recommend and return. I will say parking is a bit tough in the strip mall but it is manageable, even at 1:30 pm. read more
