Finally revisited this place after a while and I'm not coming back. The girl they have handling the drinks at the pickup station is ruining the reputation of heytea. I ordered online right as they opened at 11 AM and the estimated pickup time was 8 minutes. However, once the tracker got to 5 minutes, it never updated. Nearly 30 minutes after, upon checking in with that girl, turns out the drinks were done a long time ago but she was just hoarding them at the counter instead of calling out numbers. Loads of drinks just sitting there. She then packed my drinks up but left one out. I didn't realize until I walked out. When going back to ask about it she said it's not ready yet. lol? When pressed how much longer it'll take she started looking around and found the drink just sitting on the side. I'm really speechless to this service. Not sure if this is what heytea wants to represent- chaos and disorganization. This has made them lose a customer, doesn't matter if the drinks are decent. Onto the drinks - they're very popular for their mango drinks and matcha drinks. Grapefruit mango boom - got minimal sugar and it was just right. Drink was pretty much melted already due to sitting there. The sago is delicious- good and chewy. The mango did not taste fresh at all. Triple supreme matcha latte - got minimal sugar and less ice but could have opted for even less sugar. The matcha color is very dark and looks oxidized. Slightly disappointed with the presentation. Coconut mango blue - this looks nothing like the photos. The blue already mixed in with the drink probably because it sat there for 30 minutes. read more

I drove by this place the past weekend and the line was long which was expected since they just opened. Located in Atlantic Times Square by the busy block near the fountain and amc side. Plenty underground parking but I found street parking right outside. Went yesterday Tuesday around 3ish and there was no line. If you buy any 2 drinks, you get a heytea canvas bag (there's steps to follow such as writing a review on Google and following them on ig). You can also preorder for pickup. Walking in, I saw at least 10 employees in there. The space is extremely small, no seating and barely any standing room. It's more of a grab and go type of spot. I ordered a mango grapefruit boom and I like the fresh fruits but the drink itself was okay. It had different types of jelly and stuff inside, not sure exactly what since it's not shown on the menu. The drink was too sugary for me. I wish she asked me if I wanted less sugar since I always forget to mention it. Drinks are on the pricier side too. read more

Rating: 7.8/10 Came with friends on a Monday night around 8:30PM. Parking is located in an underground parking lot for the whole plaza, and there was plenty of parking. HEYTEA is located facing the street. There were a good amount of customers but we only waited about 5 minutes to order. You can order for kiosk or from the cashier. No seating areas. Took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. Walking inside, there's a delicious fragrant tea smell that signals high quality tea. My friend recommended this place since she mentioned she's been many times on the east coast. The most popular drinks seem to be the Mango Coconut Boom (coconut mango sago) variations, but I was really interested in the Matcha Cloud Jasmine Latte since I just had mango coconut sago at another boba place earlier in the day. Here's what I ordered/tried: 1) Matcha Cloud Jasmine Latte, less sweet: 7/10. Honestly not my favorite drink. The cashier recommended less sweet since she said this drink tends to be sweet. The cloud layer is cheese foam, which was slightly salty and bitter from the matcha powder on top. I didn't love the flavor of the cheese foam, and when mixed into the matcha, it honestly just tasted like a watered-down matcha that wasn't worth the $7.49 I paid. I wouldn't order this again. 2) Mango Grapefruit Boom: 8/10. Solid choice when coming here. Not too sweet and it is refreshing, but I think there are other boba places in the 626 that have better Mango Coconut Sago. The grapefruit didn't have too much of an impact on flavor (in my opinion), and for a dollar less, I think I'd go with the Coconut Mango Boom if I were to ever come back. Overall, I honestly don't think I'd make the drive to come back unless a friend wanted to come or I was in the area already. This Hey Tea location is marked incorrectly on the map. It is located on the outside edge of the plaza rather than the interior area. The tea itself was very good, though I have had better from the Rowland Heights location which seems to be closed at this time. The shop interior is extremely small and claustrophobic. There are ordering kiosks, but you're better off ordering online and waiting outside. With the amount of people waiting for tea, you'll be a little too close to strangers! There is no seating, but there is seating in the public plaza just outside the door. read more

But you can also order online but from their app. The drinks were ready when I arrived and it was an easy pick up. The inside is quite small, you'll mostly be getting these drinks to-go or waiting outside. The staff are quick and ready with the drinks. I got the yumberry boom. I haven't tried yumberry before and this is the only place I've seen it offered prominently. It's okay and refreshing. I'm not particularly a fan of the puree portion as the solid bits get in the way of drinking. But that's also just me, others may enjoy it. The flavor was good but not 100% for me, but I'd still recommend giving it a try. I've gotten the matcha supreme in the other location and loved it so as always it's drink and personal taste-dependent. I'd still want to return for more. read more

I love heytea so much! It's probably one of my top boba places. This place is popular in hong kong back when I was living there and im so glad they expanded to america. I got the coconut mango boom which is like a mango smoothie and its soooo good. I liked how fruity it is and it's on the sweeter side but sweetness is adjustable. It's nice that it's more like a non-caffeinated dessert drink. The price is on the higher end and there is almost always a lot of people but it's still worth it to go. The total time from lining up to getting my drinks was about 25 minutes, which isn't bad at all compared to the crazy waits I've experienced at other new boba spots like Molly Tea. I tried the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea and the Coconut Mango Boom. The boba was perfectly soft and chewy, and the Coconut Mango Boom reminded me of the mango sago drinks from Hui Lau Shan. Kale tea: WOW! I will be coming back for this. Bits of chia seeds cuz HEALTH Very refreshing and not too sweet. I asked for less sweet. The coconut milk jelly pairs well with it. Can't really taste the kale which is a good thing ig lol but not sure how much kale juice they actually use and how much sugar they add. It says 100% fresh squeeze kale and chia seeds. HEYTEA is a modern tea shop using traditional Chinese tea and high quality ingredients. This location recently had their grand opening so I decided to check it out. There was already a line forming on a Wednesday morning around open at 11am. Once the doors opened, the ordering process went quickly. I ordered the Cloud Mulberry Strawberry, Crisp Grape Boom, Mango Grapefruit Boom, and Coconut Mango Boom. It took about 30 minutes for my order to be completed, which is quite a while for being one of the first 5 customers in line. There were a lot of staff members working that day. The Cloud Mulberry Strawberry had great flavor. The strawberry didn't overpower the mulberry and we enjoyed that we can taste the mulberry. The fresh mulberries in the drink were a plus. The Crisp Grape Boom was a disappointment. It tasted like grape juice that can be bought from a grocery store but with a much higher price tag. The Mango Grapefruit Boom and Coconut Mango Boom were both good. They feel more like a dessert than a drink, but we enjoyed them. The grapefruit in the Mango Grapefruit Boom helped to cut through the sweetness and add pops of flavor. We liked the use of fresh mangos in the drinks. Overall, giving HEYTEA a 3.5/5. The ingredients are high quality and fresh, but these drinks are quite pricey. We were disappointed in the Crisp Grape Boom. The interior is light, bright, and modern, but really only has standing room to order and wait for your order. There are no tables or chairs inside or outside. The staff seem friendly, but a bit disorganized and inefficient. There were a lot of drinks waiting to be bagged and given to people but it seemed like orders were missing one drink of each order which is likely why the wait time was a bit longer. I've been waiting for Heytea to officially open their doors since I saw they put their sign up. The shop itself is pretty small and doesn't have any seats. You can either order on their app, in store on their kiosk, or with the cashier. I love that they have a screen on the side showing what orders are being worked on and what orders are ready. However, I do wish they move the screen to somewhere more visible because I kept having to peek in to check my status. I ordered on the app and I love that it tells you how many orders are ahead of you and gives you an estimated wait time. I found the estimated wait time to be pretty accurate. It took about 10 minutes from the time of ordering to actual pick up time. I got two drinks - the Crisp Grape Boom for the hubs and the Matcha Jasmine Latte for myself. Hubby said the crisp grape boom was very refreshing. He got it with zero added sugar but it was still a little sweet from the grapes. I really enjoyed the matcha jasmine latte. This place could use a lot of logistic improvements. I went with a best friend the other day during lunch and granted it was on a holiday and very busy I get that, but I just don't think the architect thought about how the restaurant should be built. There's only one door and you have to order inside on a kiosk then wait in another line to pick up your drink so there's no real easy way to go in and out or even wait in line. We were definitely standing outside the door at one point. I also don't love that the staff wasn't calling out drink numbers or order numbers. They simply just waited till you got up, till it was your turn in line and asked what number drink you had. So at one point, we saw dozens of drinks just sitting on the counter waiting for their turn. I guess, I'm not sure. It really just didn't seem organized. I don't know that I'll go back on my own desire, but if a friend wanted to drag me there then sure otherwise I don't know if the hype is like worth that type of stress, there was a lot of angry people in line and several people were cutting. It just didn't seem very fun. I probably would think twice before going back or maybe do a drive-by on Atlantic to see how busy the line is. It is right off of the Atlantic curb so you should be able to see it, but I just don't think they did a great job building the place. Hopefully they'll get their act together. I'd be down to go visit again if they fix some of those service issues, but otherwise there's plenty of other places in SGV that are way more organized much larger inside and just have it altogether -- this would be a skip in my book. read more

I got the Mango Coconut Boom and thought it was mediocre for a $6.99 drink. Their other teas look good and I got matcha jelly on the side since it sounds good. However I was most disappointed at the service, because my number was shown on the tv, I showed the lady at the counter my receipt and she said she has my drink ready, but she still proceeded to wipe all the other drinks and tend to others before me when I was there first and waited for a very long time. Is it because I don't speak mandarin?? I also noticed that she was messing around with her coworker and purposely dropped a cap to throw at her.. I've been trying to visit for the hype. The line is always long when I'm in the area. I finally decided to order there. Next time, I'll use the HeyTea app to order before I go to this plaza. The wait looked crazy but their in-store order kiosk promised a 15 minute wait with 35 drinks+ ahead of me. I have to commend the hustle of the crew for getting me my 4 drinks at the promised time. Luckily I came right before the rush because about 5 minutes later (around 12:30pm) there was a huge crowd waiting to order. The shop is small but smelled wonderful from the tea leaves. I decided to try their green grape boom which is a green grape slushie without the cheese foam. For $7.50, it was okay, nothing too amazing.
