Got to finally try this boba spot. Their kale juice is goat! I feel healthy drinking this alone. There's a variety of drinks and it's not too sweet. I'd definitely come back.
We ordered on the kiosk. And they had a decent amount of workers. Our order was ready really fast for a busy place. Seems like they are quite popular. I got a Coconut Mango and Triple Matcha Latte. Both were very yummy. We just got it togo. Inside was ok. Private lot in front. Will be back when in the area to try Pistachio drink next time. Or will go to the Sunnyvale location a bit closer to home.
This place took over Sweethearts. You can order via kiosk. Orders come out pretty quick and they show up on the screen. I had guava green grape which was good and had bits of fruit in it. Another popular drink people ordered a lot was coconut mango. There are some places to sit and wait. My only complaint is that the floors were helllllllaaa dirty. Verdict: I'd come here again for other flavors. Judgment: clean your floors y'all, it's black all over and kinda gross.
Their drinks have an amazing, rich tea aroma, and my favorite, the Kale Booster, is absolutely delicious. I always order it with no added sugar, and it tastes even more like fresh kiwi juice that way. Their Guava Grape drink is also incredibly good. The only downside is that they don't offer delivery through DoorDash or any other delivery apps, so you have to stop by the shop in person. If you love drinks made with real milk and authentic tea flavor, I highly recommend giving this place a try. Like the other branches, there is usually a wait after placing your order through kiosk. I visited on a Saturday around 5 PM, and the wait was about 30 minutes. The store is small and almost no seating area, there were many people waiting/standing outside of the shop. One convenient thing about this location is that it's right next to Ranch 99. I usually place my order first, do some grocery shopping, then come back to pick up my drink. Ordered my usual drinks, Crisp Grape Boom. It was refreshing as always, especially with light ice and less sugar. The wait can be quite long during peak hours, but walking around the plaza makes it easy.
Heytea is my favorite tea spot & this location is great because it's super close to 99 Ranch & a whole bunch of other yummy food places. We came to try their new Jasmine strawberries & cream drink, & since we don't live close by, we also got our go-to drinks: Triple Matcha Supreme & Longjing Milk tea. The Jasmine tea is floral & the strawberries/cream top makes it feel like a Jasmine strawberry creamsicle, not too sweet. Love that the app makes ordering ahead super easy too
Thinking about my next visit to HeyTea! My husband and I tried HeyTea for the first time on a Monday afternoon and we really enjoyed it! It's a small and minimalist to-go boba shop in a popular plaza with plenty of parking. It seemed busy for a Monday, but we ordered though the kiosk and got our drinks within 10 minutes. We ordered 3 drinks - Snowy Cap Milk Tea(seasonal), Mango Bloom(most popular) and Mango Oat Bloom all with less sugar as recommended. They were all refreshing and not too sweet. My husband and I are picky about boba these days and we appreciate the fresh ingredients and tea quality put into the drinks. We'll definitely be back!
Favorite boba spot in the Bay Area! Every drink I've tried here has been delicious, and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorites are the grape drink and the Triple Supreme Matcha, both are so flavorful and not overly sweet. It's a very fast-casual spot, perfect for grabbing a drink on the go. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of my go-to boba places!
Refreshing and creamy matcha drink with a trendy café vibe Tried the Cloud Matcha Blue at HEYTEA and really enjoyed how unique and refreshing it was. The drink had a nice balance between the earthy matcha flavor and the light, creamy foam on top. It felt smooth and not overly sweet, which made it easy to drink. The layered presentation also looked really pretty and gave it that signature trendy café feel. Service was quick and efficient, even with a decent crowd in the store. The vibe is modern and energetic, with a clean aesthetic that makes it fun for a quick drink stop or casual hangout. Definitely feels like one of those spots where people come to both enjoy the drinks and take cute photos. Would come back to try more of their specialty drinks next time.
Best location in the bay! I prefer this one over the SF one and the one in Cupertino because they always get the sweetness just right. I'm a creature of habit: since they removed the king jasmine I have been loyal to the longjing milk tea. It's nutty, it's tea forward, it's everything. My partner is addicted to the mango boom and I recently got him the blue version with spirulina in it and he really enjoyed it. As for the service--what can I say? They are swamped with thousands of orders and yet they still tell you to have a good day. People bombard the one person passing out drinks and it looks so overwhelming to be in that position, so props to the workers at this location because this does not look like an easy job. Smells nice, like an expensive hotel.
I'm always down for matcha. I had the Cloud matcha, and their matcha is pretty good. The matcha is well whisked, and you can't taste the powder. I really enjoyed it and love that they added extra matcha powder for a stronger kick. The service is okay, but note that you should order on the app. The line is crazy long, and people are outside waiting for some boba.
Great drinks, customer service is dry. Came here to enjoy a few drinks after having dinner nearby. As usual, there were an abundant of patrons standing inside and out of Heytea. Staff is too busy doing their own thing to even show you any sign of acknowledgement but it is what it is. Ordering via register is optional but the kiosk located on the side is preferred. Drinks take a bit of time but essentially taste how they should. The tea aspect stands out and isn't masked by fake sugary syrups and fillers.
I forgot to make a review several times but some drinks that I typically get when coming to HeyTea are the Jasmine Milk Tea, Cloud Mango, and the Bobo Milk Tea with the Cheese Foam Milk Tea. The Cloud Mango might be my favorite as the mango that they use is very sweet and the drink itself is refreshing. I got the Golden Oolong Yuzu because they just released it and it tastes like a lemonade with oolong tea, nothing much. The prices are kind of insane though.

This tea shop is so popular that there is always a long line to order. I ordered the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte with light ice and no sugar. It tasted surprisingly good. Although I chose no sugar, it still had a slight sweetness, which may have come from the cheese foam or the matcha cubes. The matcha flavor was very authentic and refreshing. I can't wait to try other drinks from this store read more
I've been here a handful of times during summer lunch rushes and the coconut mango boom is seriously good every time. I've tried the jasmine matcha cloud latte and the grape cloud boom but they weren't particularly show stopping. This is located in a plaza nearby many companies, everyone goes on lunch here so the little store is always crowded if you go at that time. I always see people waiting to order, but genuine tip: skip the line by ordering through the app. They do get it done relatively quick (considering the amount of customers inside), and if you use the app you can even customize the sticker that they put on your cups! Plan ahead if you want to go at popular times, it'll be a lot easier on you and your party. The store is small enough that people aren't really sitting in there to enjoy their drinks, just waiting to order or receive their drinks. As much as I love the coconut mango boom, I fear it's only good for now as mangoes are in season but once it's not, I don't find that there's anything else I'd go out of my way to enjoy strictly from here. read more

There is yet another new boba place in the bay, and this time in the Milpitas complex that already has two other boba shops. This definitely seemed popular and we waited at least 10 min for our drinks. The inside had a modern appeal, and the staff were extremely helpful in recommending drinks. 4.5/5 Coconut Mango Boom was a refreshing drink and really highlighted their fresh fruit drinks. I think adding fresh coconut as well would have made this drink a game changer instead of only coconut milk, but the mango was really nice. 2.5/5 Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk really fell flat because there was really nothing special about the flavor of the brown sugar. The boba was nice and soft and was the only part of the drink that I could enjoy. Maybe it's the premium ingredients, but I have other options in the same complex for better. 4.5/5 Jasmine Latte was solid and showed that their teas shine a lot as well. It was so strong in flavor and you could really taste the floral notes. You can tell the quality from the drinks, but one of their popular brown sugar drinks did not match up at all. I have to come by to try some of their other drinks next time to see how they fare. read more
Ordered 2 drinks to try, the Matcha Jasmine Latte & Crisp Grape Boom (slushie) - both exceeded my expectations, and now I understand the hype / long line + wait, and feel it was worth my 30 min wait :0 Matcha Jasmine Latte *4.8/5* ($7.99) - opted to get no added sugar (love that they have this option), light ice - comes with matcha foam (which you can change to cheese foam) & a soft jelly (not sure what it was but it complemented the drink well). Was pleasantly surprised this was pretty matcha-y, and also creamy but not overly so. Even with no additional sweeteners, had a subtly sweet taste. Crisp Grape Boom (slushie) *4.9/5* ($7.49) - no sugar added, light ice - comes with jasmine tea (which you can change) & grape pieces (?). This drink was also perfectly sweet & refreshing. Came on a Saturday evening & there was a short line to order (but which became much longer a few min after I got in line) and lots of people waiting for their drinks. After ordering, my wait was approximately 30 min (!) for my two drinks. The friendly server agreed that mine was taking longer than average, and even went to try to get my 2nd drink going (thank you!). Note about pickup - they have a screen showing which # orders are ready & which are being prepared, however it wasn't completely accurate, and people started realizing that checking with the server was more efficient, since some drinks were already ready but not posted on the screen. read more

The drinks here are so good! I'm obsessed with the Coconut Mango Boom--the mango is always perfectly ripe, and the coconut adds just the right balance to the sweetness. The texture from the toppings pulls it all together and makes it a really satisfying drink. The ambiance of the store is great, too. It smells like fresh tea and real ingredients, which makes the whole experience feel extra refreshing. It does get pretty busy on weekends, so expect a bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it. read more

Cloud blue matcha 4/5 - I wish the matcha flavor was a bit stronger. I never had a matcha drink with coconut cream or milk before so this was fun to try. I don't think there's much caffeine because I drank it around 7pm and had no troubles sleeping when I normally do. Overall flavor was unique but I would try something else next time. The drinks were actually quite good, but it's too bad their system of pushing out drinks is not good. 1. The app is unavailable for pick ups at the moment so you must wait in line. That's fine but there's a huge QR code in the window for ordering ahead? 2. I'm not sure the process for which drinks get made in their given order but one of my drinks was completed very quickly but the second drink took another 10ish minutes to be on the counter? 3. This seems to be a common practice because while waiting in line a few customers had their drinks remade because by the time their entire order was ready, all the ice melted their first drinks! They do offer remakes if you're unsatisfied, posted on the pick up counter. It's a small shop but there's AC which isn't very effective with the door remaining open for the long line. Overall, waiting 15 minutes for 2 drinks in the heat was not ideal! But staff is calm and hospitable so kudos to the workers! read more
Love HEYTEA! Was really happy they opened one in this plaza as it's one of my favorite plazas with bunch of restaurants, however, not a huge fan of this location. I went on a Friday around 6:30pm and they unfortunately were closed because their kiosk pay system was down. We came back on Sunday and the store was packed. We ordered on the kiosk and stepped out as the shop is really small. Not sure exactly how long our drinks took because it was hard to tell but we went back 15 minutes later and it was ready. I got the mango grapefruit boom which was delicious. I tried a sip of my friends drinks and they weren't too good, especially given it's almost $10 per drink with tax and tip. I think I'd be back only if I do online order because this location is super busy and not as consistent in terms of their drinks IMO. Might be because they're newer so I'll give them another shot in the future. read more

Heytea has become my favorite place to get refreshing fruit teas! There's usually always a lot of people here but luckily the waits not too bad. My top two drinks are the mulberry boom and the guava green grape. Ngl the guava green grape changed my life and it's all I think about recently! Highly recommend trying it out. read more

I've come to this location a couple of times- always quite busy especially at night on the weekends. The drinks have been consistently good (I like the mango coconut boom and matcha drinks). when I went last time they forgot one of our drinks and we ended up waiting 30+ min for it (a bunch of other people got their drinks who had ordered after us already). the ground where the staff were making drinks was extremely wet which seems like not only a health hazard (dirty water splashing around) but also a safety hazard- someone could slip and get hurt? I do understand it's super busy but should be worth quickly mopping up at least. read more
Love love love this spot so much. The drinks here are always good and even though it's busy, they manage to get the drinks done quickly. Huge shoutout to the workers because it's always hectic in here. Anyways I am so glad they finally brought back the cloud green grape boom because it's one of my favorites. I also got their cloud matcha longjing milk tea and it's also become one of my favs. I wish they would keep a lot of their drinks permanent since it's so good, but sometimes it's only seasonal or for a limited time. read more

Aesthetic store and very strong tea smells when you walk in! Can order online and would recommend since there will likely be a wait! Got the Matcha foam drink with coconut milk + jelly! Great flavors but unable to adjust for sugar. read more
just like any other hey tea imo, nothing that special or different got the triple matcha which is so good and also the only drink I get from them but it predictably landed me bc lactose order at a kiosk and your number goes up on the board - standard for every other hey tea I've been to they spelt "receipt" wrong twice tho which I found hilarious - but then again I shorten my words and use British spelling so lmao idk read more

This is definitely my favorite boba shop at the moment! I've been hearing rave reviews from my friends about their Westlake Daly City location for a while now, but I kept putting off trying it since there are no locations near me. My husband and I finally stopped by on the way to San Jose one day, and now this is a go-to for us whenever we travel to/from that direction. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the drinks here. Some drinks we've tried so far include the cloud coconut blue, supreme brown sugar boba milk tea and cloud jasmine tea. The tea quality is excellent as is the sweetness level. Looking forward to trying many more items from their menu and hoping they open up more locations in the East Bay! read more

I've heard rave reviews about the drinks from Hey Tea from a friend to the point that I was convinced I had to go sample the thing myself. I was around for a Yelp event and decided to pop in since there isn't a Hey Tea located super close to me. The store inside was quite packed and it felt a bit chaotic between the disorganized line to order at the kiosk and the people milling about waiting for drinks. I decided to just download the app while waiting in line, and I was actually able to place by order before I even got to the kiosk. Overall wait time was much faster than I anticipated. I think my drink was ready in less than 10 minutes. The workers must be crazy efficient. I got the coconut mango boom in slushie form and with 0-calorie sweetener as well as minimal sugar. The drink came out to be a little under $6 after the discount and the level of sweetness was perfect. Not too sweet at all! TIP: if you get ANYTHING from this review, it's to download the app and order your drink before you get to the store. First order is 15% off too! read more

Came here at around 2pm on a Saturday and there was a long line out the door. Waited about 10 minutes in line and another 10 minutes for our drink. Tried the guava green grape drink and was unfortunately disappointed because it was pretty flavorless. I asked for "less sweet" which is my usual sweetness level for these types of drinks, but it tasted like 0% sweet. Considering the price ($7.99 before taxes), I expected it to be much better. Although the drink looked very cute, it was basically blended ice and I would not get this again. Location itself is great - it's located in a huge plaza with many restaurant options and lots of parking. read more

First time trying HeyTea and I'm not disappointed. I made an account with their app, and received a bogo 50% off coupon and got two drinks for less than $12. It was pretty busy when we arrived so I recommend ordering 30 minutes ahead through their app so that it's ready for you. Staff were very nice and fast even though they are so busy. I had the coconut mango boom and loved it. Also got the triple supreme matcha which was good but it was a little bit of a matcha overload, so I will probably just get the regular supreme next time. read more
No tables. No number calling so you can't even hear it outdoors when indoors it's packed like a can of sardines. (-1 star)... when your drink is ready, they just enlarge your number on their tiny screen indoors (although some times the workers do call out the numbers). Benches available to sit both indoors and outdoors. I personally highly dislike this location because they often turn off their online app ordering system. Yes, it's reasonable to do so when they are busy but other locations never do this and the other locations are equally super busy as well... therefore, I'm perplexed. (-1 star) Super super super long wait but the wait time is similar vs other locations. Drinks here also seem to be subpar compared to other locations (lower quality control) but have likewise profile in taste. Located in a highly busy plaza/99 Ranch due to the multiple eateries and stores. Thus, lots of tight parking and you may need to walk a few steps or come during very very very low peak hours! read more

Came here after getting some YGF Malatang, since it was in the same plaza. The place was popping off with a line outside of the door. There were multiple people waiting inside for their order, and the boba shop had a screen that displayed which orders were being prepared and which were ready for pickup. The inside had rather limited seating and was pretty open with an airy feel that had a clear view of the kitchen. They also have the capability to order via your phone, but I think the site wasn't working at the time. I waited a fair bit to order at the front kiosk, but the cashier was friendly when grabbing our orders. Additionally, one of my friends orders was never made, so we were waiting a while for hers to be made. Just be wary to keep track of your orders especially since it's quite hectic in there. In terms of the boba, I thought the matcha and jasmine combination was great. The jasmine brought the sweetness to the more bitter matcha flavor. However, this tea was on the pricier side. I do like this place and would be open to coming back. read more
Came here during their soft opening for the BOGO drink deal. The line was long (as expected), but honestly, the drinks were the best we've had from here, even better than on regular visits. We usually stop by on Saturdays. Sometimes there's a bit of a line, sometimes it's pretty quick--it really varies. Supposedly you can order through their app, but it's never actually available for us, which is a bit frustrating. My go-to drinks are the Crisp Grape Boom and the Mango Grapefruit Boom. Both super refreshing and worth trying! Noting here that one time after lunch time, the Crisp Grape Boom was sold out so was disappointed. Hopefully, they open a location in the East Bay soon so it's closer for us! read more
Ever since I had the Crisp Grape Boom from Hey Tea for the first time, I've made several trips now that there are multiple convenient locations in the Bay Area. I decided to visit the Barber Lane location to try the Green Grape Crisp Boom. Luckily, I didn't need to wait long after placing the order as the drinks came out within 10 minutes. The Green Grape Crisp Boom variant is definitely sweeter, reminiscent of Muscat grapes, but I have to say that the original Crisp Grape Boom made with black grapes is still my favorite. Pros: Online ordering is up! Save time on your next visit by placing an online order. Drinks came out quickly. Tastes consistent to the Hostetter location. Cons: N/A read more

We happened to be in the area and decided to try HeyTea because my nephew always raves about it. We placed our order at 11:01 a.m., right after the store opened at 11, and the app estimated a 4-minute wait time. Unfortunately, we didn't receive our drinks until 11:32. I followed the app updates, which showed that 1 of 2 drinks was ready, but after waiting more than 15 minutes with no progress, I used the app to expedite the order and informed the staff. A young man assured me the second drink would be coming out shortly, but after another 10+ minutes, there was still no update, acknowledgment, or communication from the staff. I then contacted the "Get Help" feature through the app to request a refund. Instead of resolving the issue, I was only offered 50% off a future visit. After such a disappointing first experience, that response felt completely inadequate. This is boba tea, not a fine dining experience, and waiting over 30 minutes with little communication and no proper resolution is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location or support this chain in the future, and I'll definitely be sharing my experience with friends and family. read more

Their cloud coconut blue and mango pomelo boom drinks are my favorite here! They're both so refreshing. The tea flavor here is strong if that's what you're looking for and most my friends who have tried Hey Tea have enjoyed their drinks. There's a few locations in the bay area so at least the lines aren't too crazy since they're spread out now. This location is a bit small and stuffy but I can tell the workers are trying their best to get the drinks out as best as they can. I like that this location is near 99 ranch and has a good amount of parking spots. read more

03/12/2025 11:03 am Came here right when it opened w a friend. They were NOT ready to open. They were unpacking things as we ordered our drinks. App didn't work at first. We were second to order. My friend ordered at 11:10 and I ordered at 11:17 Estimated wait time was 2-6min. The employee also said that it should be quick. The seats were white, and some of them had footprints on them. I was not a big fan of their tiny tables, but its understandable that they want as much room as possible. The employee claimed that they were missing another employee for opening but as I can see, they have four people opening. So... who is making the drinks? 6 people waiting for 6 cups of drink for .... 15 mins ? A little too over. They finally started making all of our drinks at 11:28. My friend said, "They already opened for a month and they don't know how to set up the machine." Finally got hers at 11:35, I got mine at 11:37. No announcement was made that our order was ready. Drink was okay. Nothing special for either of ours. I was quite disappointed on how stingy they were with my boba. I even paid extra ($0.99) to buy the regular boba instead of the popping boba. There are quite a few passion fruit seeds in my drink, mixed with the two layers of boba (photo). The total for my drink was $6.98. The only nice thing was that the passion fruit drink itself tasted alright. at least they used real passion fruits. Safe to say is this place is really disappointing, especially when it just opened recently. They need to work on professionalism when opening up a shop. If they can't open it on time, they might as well change the opening time to 12pm instead. Do not waste my time. read more
Boba milk tea snob here. I never go out of my way to get those sugary drinks made from artificially flavored powder tea. We were looking for a caffeine fix much needed for our drive to Sacramento and chanced upon this newly opened tea place. This clean and small shop in the Milpitas Square along Barber Lane was packed which surprised us. My wife asked me what the emanating peculiar smell was. I simply told her. "That's the aroma of real tea". Turns out that they opened a week ago which explains the promos that were on-going. We got a canvas bag with purchase of two drinks and a tagged social media photo posting. Now for the tea review. I ordered a Cloud Jasmine Tea and my wife got the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea. After figuring out how to drink from the twist-to-open lids, I took a big 45° angle sip and enjoyed the layers of flavor from my jasmine tea. You read that correctly, my original jasmine tea had a salty layer of cheese foam on top which impressed me. Honestly, I didn't get to taste my wife's Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea as she inhaled it. Her less-iced drink came with a biodegradable PLA straw. Our consensus was unanimous though, our drinks tasted like tea. Talk about unexpected pleasures. We'll surely be back! read more
I love the smell of their shop, it smells like fresh tea brewing all day (which is probably the case lol). But it gets so incredibly packed and overstimulating in there, especially on weekends. Sometimes I'm not sure where the line to order begins. Their drinks are pretty good, I've tried a handful of them, but my favorite is definitely the mango coconut boom.
