Got to finally try this boba spot. Their kale juice is goat! I feel healthy drinking this alone. There's a variety of drinks and it's not too sweet. I'd definitely come back.
We ordered on the kiosk. And they had a decent amount of workers. Our order was ready really fast for a busy place. Seems like they are quite popular. I got a Coconut Mango and Triple Matcha Latte. Both were very yummy. We just got it togo. Inside was ok. Private lot in front. Will be back when in the area to try Pistachio drink next time. Or will go to the Sunnyvale location a bit closer to home.
This place took over Sweethearts. You can order via kiosk. Orders come out pretty quick and they show up on the screen. I had guava green grape which was good and had bits of fruit in it. Another popular drink people ordered a lot was coconut mango. There are some places to sit and wait. My only complaint is that the floors were helllllllaaa dirty. Verdict: I'd come here again for other flavors. Judgment: clean your floors y'all, it's black all over and kinda gross.
Their drinks have an amazing, rich tea aroma, and my favorite, the Kale Booster, is absolutely delicious. I always order it with no added sugar, and it tastes even more like fresh kiwi juice that way. Their Guava Grape drink is also incredibly good. The only downside is that they don't offer delivery through DoorDash or any other delivery apps, so you have to stop by the shop in person. If you love drinks made with real milk and authentic tea flavor, I highly recommend giving this place a try. Like the other branches, there is usually a wait after placing your order through kiosk. I visited on a Saturday around 5 PM, and the wait was about 30 minutes. The store is small and almost no seating area, there were many people waiting/standing outside of the shop. One convenient thing about this location is that it's right next to Ranch 99. I usually place my order first, do some grocery shopping, then come back to pick up my drink. Ordered my usual drinks, Crisp Grape Boom. It was refreshing as always, especially with light ice and less sugar. The wait can be quite long during peak hours, but walking around the plaza makes it easy.
Heytea is my favorite tea spot & this location is great because it's super close to 99 Ranch & a whole bunch of other yummy food places. We came to try their new Jasmine strawberries & cream drink, & since we don't live close by, we also got our go-to drinks: Triple Matcha Supreme & Longjing Milk tea. The Jasmine tea is floral & the strawberries/cream top makes it feel like a Jasmine strawberry creamsicle, not too sweet. Love that the app makes ordering ahead super easy too
Thinking about my next visit to HeyTea! My husband and I tried HeyTea for the first time on a Monday afternoon and we really enjoyed it! It's a small and minimalist to-go boba shop in a popular plaza with plenty of parking. It seemed busy for a Monday, but we ordered though the kiosk and got our drinks within 10 minutes. We ordered 3 drinks - Snowy Cap Milk Tea(seasonal), Mango Bloom(most popular) and Mango Oat Bloom all with less sugar as recommended. They were all refreshing and not too sweet. My husband and I are picky about boba these days and we appreciate the fresh ingredients and tea quality put into the drinks. We'll definitely be back!
Favorite boba spot in the Bay Area! Every drink I've tried here has been delicious, and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorites are the grape drink and the Triple Supreme Matcha, both are so flavorful and not overly sweet. It's a very fast-casual spot, perfect for grabbing a drink on the go. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of my go-to boba places!
Refreshing and creamy matcha drink with a trendy café vibe Tried the Cloud Matcha Blue at HEYTEA and really enjoyed how unique and refreshing it was. The drink had a nice balance between the earthy matcha flavor and the light, creamy foam on top. It felt smooth and not overly sweet, which made it easy to drink. The layered presentation also looked really pretty and gave it that signature trendy café feel. Service was quick and efficient, even with a decent crowd in the store. The vibe is modern and energetic, with a clean aesthetic that makes it fun for a quick drink stop or casual hangout. Definitely feels like one of those spots where people come to both enjoy the drinks and take cute photos. Would come back to try more of their specialty drinks next time.
Best location in the bay! I prefer this one over the SF one and the one in Cupertino because they always get the sweetness just right. I'm a creature of habit: since they removed the king jasmine I have been loyal to the longjing milk tea. It's nutty, it's tea forward, it's everything. My partner is addicted to the mango boom and I recently got him the blue version with spirulina in it and he really enjoyed it. As for the service--what can I say? They are swamped with thousands of orders and yet they still tell you to have a good day. People bombard the one person passing out drinks and it looks so overwhelming to be in that position, so props to the workers at this location because this does not look like an easy job. Smells nice, like an expensive hotel.
I'm always down for matcha. I had the Cloud matcha, and their matcha is pretty good. The matcha is well whisked, and you can't taste the powder. I really enjoyed it and love that they added extra matcha powder for a stronger kick. The service is okay, but note that you should order on the app. The line is crazy long, and people are outside waiting for some boba.
Great drinks, customer service is dry. Came here to enjoy a few drinks after having dinner nearby. As usual, there were an abundant of patrons standing inside and out of Heytea. Staff is too busy doing their own thing to even show you any sign of acknowledgement but it is what it is. Ordering via register is optional but the kiosk located on the side is preferred. Drinks take a bit of time but essentially taste how they should. The tea aspect stands out and isn't masked by fake sugary syrups and fillers.
I forgot to make a review several times but some drinks that I typically get when coming to HeyTea are the Jasmine Milk Tea, Cloud Mango, and the Bobo Milk Tea with the Cheese Foam Milk Tea. The Cloud Mango might be my favorite as the mango that they use is very sweet and the drink itself is refreshing. I got the Golden Oolong Yuzu because they just released it and it tastes like a lemonade with oolong tea, nothing much. The prices are kind of insane though.
I was very surprised to find that Heytea was coming to the Bay Area -- and it indeed was a very welcome sighting. In fact, this was the moment that I was waiting for them to come. Heytea makes the best drinks out of all the boba shops I've been to, and their customer service is no different. Although it can get really crowded at times, it makes the wait worth it with their purified inside air, clean environment, and much more. I tried out their Brown Sugar Millk Tea with boba and less sugar. The boba was very chewy, and the tea wasn't too steep -- just enough to have a tea-like kick kind of flavor. Overall, I'd come back again! Definitely more of a chance when the lines are a little shorter though :) read more

Located in a bustling plaza packed with plentiful food options, Heytea is easily one of the busiest spots! We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and our drinks took 30+ minutes to be ready. I'd definitely recommend ordering ahead on their beautifully designed app - it's super easy to use, and you can even find some coupons if you make an account! Love that you can customize the sticker that's printed on the drink label too. The inside of the store is small without much seating, and it can get quite busy inside. Green grape boom - peeled fresh green grapes blended with jasmine green tea in a slushie form. Super refreshing, and I loved the bits of grape Tiramisu milk tea - mascarpone cheese foam over creamy black milk tea. Rich, dessert-like, and very reminiscent of tiramisu. So delicious! Will definitely be back to Heytea to try more drinks! read more

Hey Tea always has lines out the door. Thankfully, ordering online is super easy, there are no uplifts and you know exactly when your order is going to be done. There's always a crazy amount of people in front of my order (like 80!) but it's so worth it ordering in advance and then going to pick up. For some reason, they're always out of the Grapefruit Boom but it's the best! It's so fresh, not syrupy and refreshing. Other drips I enjoy are the green grape, mango coco boom, and the jasmine with salted cheese. The salted cheese here is super strong but unfortunately you can't order this drink in a large for some reason and they also don't give you a lid where you can sip the foam from -- you have to use a straw which is weird. Everything is super fresh here and I can't recommend it enough. read more

Decided to swing by after dinner at Tasty Pot! It seemed like there were a good number of people in line (and it looked quite busy overall), so we opted to order online instead. We were here for the special Pop Mart collab, but they were unfortunately all out of the special sets. Placed our order for three drinks at 8:38pm on a Friday and drinks were in hand by 9:02pm, so it was actually a bit of a wait. Luckily we had friends to talk to to pass the time. Drinks were good! Tasted exactly what you would imagine tiramisu milk tea to be (milk tea with tiramisu flavor from the cream and powder on top). Would be open to coming back to try their other collab drinks! read more

Ever since HeyTea got rid of the Strawberry Boom, I haven't been back for several months until my friends wanted to get some. I decided to try the Crisp Grape Boom, and initially it threw me off. I never had anything grape flavored except for medicine, so it immediately reminded me of the off-tasting medicine flavor. However, the more I drank it, it grew on me and didn't have an off-putting taste. Instead, it was light, sweet & refreshing! I also liked the frozen grape bits and slushy texture. I thought I wouldn't like it because I'm a green grape girly, but this was actually good! My friend got the green grape drink and it barely had grape flavor... it was kind of bland? So if you're in between the red or green grape flavor, get the red. I wouldn't go out of my way for HeyTea considering many places do mango drinks, but I would get the Grape Crisp Boom again. It's best on a hot summer day! read more
Pro-Tip: stalk their social medias for frequent BOGO deals! Try to arrive 10 mins prior to opening to avoid the long lines. I love the scent of freshly brewed tea leaves the moment I step into Hey Tea -- it's such a comforting start to the visit. Unfortunately, this location is notorious for long lines, even when there aren't any BOGO deals going on. The grape boom is a must-try! I'm pretty sure they use muscat grapes, which give it a naturally sweet and fragrant flavor that sets it apart from your typical table grape drinks. I also tried the Gardenia Cloud Latte, and that one just wasn't for me. The floral flavor was too pungent and left an odd aftertaste -- I don't think gardenia works well as a tea base. Overall, Hey Tea is worth the wait for their fruit teas, especially if you stick to their signature drinks. read more

omgsh, I actually really enjoyed this place! Went in on a Saturday night after dinner and they were so busy. Upon walking in, I noticed they had a scent that smelled sooooo good. I asked the employee and he said it's the tea brewing in the back but pretty sure it was air freshener lol. But still it smelled like Jasmine goodness!!! The line went by fast even with one kiosk and the wait for my drink was even faster!! These guys know how to hustle and bust out drinks. We ordered the mango boom and the mango blue. Both soooo good and I honestly think the value for the price is so good. Perfect amount of mango and sago too. The flavors are tasty and love the option of no caffeine for the kiddos. Stopped by this location around noon and it was absolutely packed! The vibe is definitely 'high-energy chaos'--it's clearly a popular spot, but be prepared for a wait. They seemed so overwhelmed by the volume of orders that online ordering was actually disabled when we tried to checkout, which was a bit disappointing. You have to order at the store either via the touch-screen kiosks or with a staff member at the counter. When we got there, I noticed a huge row of ready orders waiting to be picked up, so it is definitely moving through them--there's just a massive backlog. It's the kind of place where you'll see a lot of people might be ordered online earlier. If you're coming during the lunch rush, you have to be patient. It's not a 'quick in-and-out' experience when they are this busy, so give yourself some extra time. Even at 2 pm we was planning to order again and decided not to because the line is still long. The drink it self is same as other Heytea stores which mean they keep the consistency. read more
I enjoy my time coming to this shop whenever i find myself in milpitas. The service is quick and bench style seating serves a a great catch up with friends or a quick chat. They are Korean and i think the flavors compare to when I tried it in Korea. The interior is minimalist and the drinks orders are displayed on a board for quick updates to their customers. Lets get into the drinks: Matcha cloud (5/5) my fave Crisp grape (4/5) i was told it was really good! Im planning on returning and you should too for your boba fix. read more
I find this boba chain to be extremely overrated. I have tried it several times but I don't get the hype. It is extremely crowded everyday especially on weekends. Ordering through the app is mostly disabled so you need to stand in long lines and wait even longer to get the order ready. They are so overwhelmed by the amount of orders they receive that sometimes the drink is 90% ready but is still sitting in the last stage to be packaged and marked as ready which is delays the drinks a lot and decreases its freshness. I have tried all their matcha drinks and the one thing I like about their drinks is the taste and quality of their matcha. It's smooth and seems to be of good quality. I like the option of adding extra matcha and it still doesn't taste bitter. The matcha cloud in the drink goes well with the drink and compensates a bit for the extremely large quantity of ice they put. Without the matcha cloud the matcha drinks taste watered down. I always select the option with the least amount of ice but the sad part is it's still always heavy on the ice. Either they don't read the instructions or if they do I wonder how much ice would be in the most ice option. read more

This place is always packed, even on a Thursday afternoon. Whenever there's a BOGO free offer and other promotions, the line extends out the door, three stores down, and parking becomes chaotic. It took me five tries to go on a slow day like Monday or Tuesday afternoon, finally. Phew! I got to try their Yumberry Boom and Cloud Coconut Blue, both of which were under 50% sweetness. The Yumberry was a bit sour with less sweetness, but I managed to finish it like a berry smoothie with slush. The Cloud Coconut Blue was my favorite so far. It contained coconut milk, blue spirulina (vegan and natural), and a layer of creamy matcha cloud with coconut jelly, which was aesthetically pleasing to mix and drink. I also want to try their Coconut Mango Boom and Supreme Matcha as long as I don't lose in this crowded battlefield lol. I did enjoy the drinks and the friendly service when I walked in alone around noon. I didn't like waiting in line for two drinks for over half an hour, unless there's nothing better to do. Even if ordered through an app, there will be a wait, and you have to scoot in between crowds when you walk in to pick up. read more

Ordering a drink here is a mess. There is a long line of people waiting to order and only ONE kiosk. And as you would expect with a kiosk, each person takes their time to scroll through the options so each person takes roughly a minute or so to order. All in all, it took around 15 minutes to get our order in. After you order, it takes another 20 minutes to wait for your drink to be ready. Waiting 35 minutes or so to get tea is not really worth it in my opinion. Advice to management: add more kiosks so that there's 2-3 going at a time. Having 1 makes little sense when there's 20 people waking to order. read more
Really enjoyed this drink! My sister got me less sugar, when I normally get 100% sugar for everything lol but it was still tasty. She pre-ordered, so it was quick. I hear it can get super crowded though. Would get it again. read more

Food: - Got a Coconut Mango Blue during a BOGO free sale - I love anything coconut + mango - The ingredients were pretty fresh although I have heard mixed reviews on the freshness of their ingredients - Not too sweet and refreshing without being tangy and I like the different textures - 9/10 Service: - Very crowded during the sale - Took a while for number to be called - Ordered on a tablet - Servers seemed stressed but nice - 7/10 Ambiance: - Crowded - Not much seating, grab and go - 6/10 Overall Rating: 7/10 read more

We ordered up front and waited around ~10-15 mins for our drink, but we just walked around. Ordered the mango grapefruit boom. I got it less sweet and regular ice. My first time trying Heytea was in Korea. We were in the plaza for lunch and saw there is a Heytea. They are located in the Milpitas Square Plaza, which is a super busy plaza. We came here for late lunch around 1:30 and it was hard to find a parking spot even though there are many parking spaces in general. There were cars parked on the streets. It was that busy. There are so many businesses in this plaza, 99 Ranch, many restaurants, boba/coffee shops, etc. I was super excited. I definitely needed to get a drink from here! There were a lot of people inside and outside the store. I downloaded the app to place an order online. Unfortunately, they were not accepting any online orders at the time. We got in line to place an order on the kiosk inside. After waiting 15 mins, we finally got up to the kiosk. There is only one kiosk, by the way. Also, there was no option to order from a staff member while we were there. The store itself is very small. There are benches for customers but gets super cramped inside. The only interactions with the staff is when you pick up your drinks. They do not text you when your drink is ready. You have to physically be there to hear your numbers be called. They don't even have a mic. So if you're outside or somewhere else, you won't be able to hear them when your numbers are being called. However, there is a screen on their wall to show which order numbers are ready for pickup. Our drinks took about 30 mins. We decided on Matcha Cloud Coconut Blue and Coconut Mango Boom. Matcha cloud was pretty good but for me, I felt the matcha was a bit too much. My boyfriend liked it though. Coconut mango was really good. It was creamy and just enough sweetness. Next time when i'm back in Milpitas, I do want to come back here again. Hope they will figure out a way to make the ordering process more smoothly and less wait. Maybe add another kiosk if it is possible. Also, hope they will start texting when the order is ready so don't have to wait there physically or have to come back to check every few minutes. read more

Went there because of the hype. Got a yum berry drink. I didn't know what yumberry is but got adventurous. It was better than I thought. I didn't like the cloud on top tho. I ordered from the app and they got it ready under 30 minutes. Not too long of a wait consider the crowd standing in front. They share the big parking lot with the supermarket. But it can get busy on weekends read more

Really love the smell of this store, it makes the waiting experience much more tolerable. Drinks are Hey Tea standard, not much to praise besides it's up to normal expectations. I wish they sell the fragrance they use in store as well. read more
This Hey Tea is located in Milpitas Square Plaza and right next to 99 Ranch Market. Parking can be challenging during peak hours. They do not have signage/display screens like the other locations and is a bit unorganized. I ordered the Blend Black Milk Tea and it tasted great like other locations. read more
Tip: Order in advance through the app to avoid a long wait and help give the hardworking staff a well-deserved break. There were so many employees working and it looked like they didn't get much rest. They were super busy the whole time. I placed my order through the app and it gave me an accurate wait time. My drinks were ready in just 15 minutes. I tried two of their most popular drinks because I was curious, and they were great. They tasted super fresh and not too sweet. It's exciting to see Hey Tea opening more locations around the Bay Area. I really love it! read more
I was in the famed NYc area this year and NYC has a lot of hey teas. They are always packed so I ezp3ctes the same here in milpitas. In NYC, the locals say that hey tea is better that the Michelin star San Chen, and I think they might be right. This place was very busy and the pick up system is very streamlined. Came to Hey Tea with a friend after a Yelp event sorta nearby. You can be overwhelmed and underwhelmed, but can you simply be just "whelmed"? I think you can in Europe, but also here at Hey Tea. The inside is small, and the line tends to snake out the door, even on a weekday. It is quite modern inside with white and wood accent. You only order via kiosk. We waited maybe 15-20 minutes for our two drinks. Their counter full of drinks looked so chaotic. I ordered a Green Grape Cloud. Although the drink itself was refreshing, over time the coagulation of the cream with the drink didn't look too appealing. The grapes were also on the sour side. Overall, don't understand the hype, but maybe I ordered the wrong drink. read more
Battled the crowd on a busy Saturday and may I say it was so worth it! I got the mango boom and I swear my life changed. Delicious, creamy and the sago pearls were just the cherry on top. Mango was fresh mango-- no artificial flavoring around here! Though there's no place to sit and drink it, I like the convenience that the place was kept clean, and get your drinks fresh and ready in minutes after placing your order. 11/10 recommend and can't wait to go and try more of their drinks! read more
Met up with a friend for the Bogo pistachio cloud king jasmine $8.99. We arrived before opening and were the first in line. We ordered the drink and waited. There was some sort of mishaps and they missed our order. After I spoke up they finally made our drinks. We waited a good 15 minutes...after some apologies our drinks were ready. I didn't mix the green pistachio cream portion into the white tea portion. The tea itself is strong. The pistachio cream is smooth. This drink is good but I much prefer their grapefruit tea. read more
To be fair, prior to this month, I had only enjoyed gifted drinks from parents of my students. After having to wait a long time my first time having it in San Jose and not feeling impressed by the drinks I got, I think I just wasn't ordering the right drink for my taste buds. Anything grape has been consistently tasty for me at less ice and less sugar. However, the best one (Guava Green Grape) is no longer available as it is seasonal. I can't wait for that one to make its return for me to get it again! I recently went into the store for the first time and while they have a kiosk they also have someone at the counter taking your order. Now that the hype has died down, or maybe because I visited on a weekday early afternoon, it didn't take long from ordering to getting the drink. While Hey Tea is pricier at $7.50 a drink, when I crave that grape boom I'll be back! read more
I think I expected more from this place since it's been talked about a lot. This was my first time trying Hey Tea but maybe I should try another location. There was a long line which I expected so I downloaded the app after ordering to keep track of when it would be ready (they recommended this on the receipt). We went to walk around the plaza while waiting and headed back when it said the drinks would be ready in 5-10 minutes. I'm not sure when the drinks came out because when we got the drinks, they were watered down. Nearly all the ice was melted so it wasn't as enjoyable. The location is relatively small so it gets crowded in there too. I'd probably go to another location if I want Hey Tea again. read more
This place used to be home to Sweetheart Candies, my first introduction to pearl drinks in the 90s and IMO the singular place that made the best pearls. Their pearls were so delicious and very al dente. Used to call them pearls/pearl drinks back in the day, then somewhere around 2010-2013 everyone seemingly just unanimously shifted over to calling it boba now. It has since shifted hands a few times, used to be a no namer mom and pop shop, then used to be a Gong Cha, now it's Hey Tea. Decided to give it a few more shots since I didn't really like it during my trip down to Irvine. I think their Coconut Cloud Latte is decent, and visually appealing. I don't really get it with boba though, it feels hearty enough as is. The lines are still long and the place does a poor job of holding that line. It can get really messy and crowded in there real quick. Their self service kiosk is disabled but they don't put a sign that says it's disabled. So you might feel inclined to walk over to it (where it's towards the front of the line) to try and use it but don't be fooled, you will lose your place in line if you do. Their online order system is also disabled. It's barely an OK for me because some of the methods they're handling things like the kiosk and online ordering system is just lame. read more
Is it just me or is this place overhyped? We've been hearing all the rave about this place and waited awhile to try since the line always looked so long and daunting. While we still had to wait in a decently long line and wait around for another 25 minutes for the drinks, they ended up tasting just OK. They were running a b1g1 free deal on the cloud matcha drinks so we ended up with four drinks lol the two cloud drinks (which seemed super popular) were so mediocre tasting. Honestly just tasted like milk, although I did enjoy the coconut jelly. My fave was the jasmine tea with cream top, which had a nice floral flavor. The cups are cute and the lids are innovative. I just don't think it's worth the wait, in addition to the small space and no organized system to pick up your drink (we were constantly checking the TV screen, no announcements being made so who knows how long your drink just sits there). Overall, a bust for me. Maybe we'll go try their other locations throughout the bay. read more

Update: This is just not a great place to come if you're dairy-free. I've been back several times since my original review, and while the quality is usually good, it can be inconsistent sometimes. I loved the hot jasmine tea with oat milk, but this location removed hot drinks and the oat milk option. With limited dairy-free choices and a frequently changing menu, it's hard to know what to expect. Ambience is fine, its a clean space and always smells good. Service is as fast as it can be given how busy it gets but expect to wait! read more

We placed a to go order ahead of time and it was ready by the time we arrived, so happy with the service and speed. My first experience of hey tea was when we were in Singapore years ago and the mulberry and grape drinks were sooo good and refreshing. I knew there was a lot of hype of the franchise coming here so I waited a long while for the hype to die down. Well we showed up and there was a decent line but it didn't span outside like when they first opened. They do only have one kiosk and no one taking orders though. The gripe... it took us 30+ minutes to get to the kiosk. The menu is shown no where else so a lot was no longer in season as far as fruit teas... they really only has the crisp grape. You order your drinks.. it's another 40+ min to get your drink and it doesn't seem like there's a rhyme or reason of inside orders vs online orders. Also, online is used loosely you can't just order online via their website or snack pass or toast you have to only download their app. After waiting what seemed like forever it was almost our turn I could see 1 of my 2 drinks and then I see production is halted because someone with an online order didn't pick up their drink in a timely matter. She has probably 6 drinks that have now all melted and the worker said she will get priority and her drinks will be remade immediately. There were A LOT of online orders. That seemed to get priority over the kiosk orders. The drinks. Were tasty not as good as they were overseas. But definitely not worth the wait. Maybe if the hype dies down even more I will come back but for now my time is more. read more

Best tea, best service?! We came here to pick up boba almost before closing time and the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Per our drink, we ordered the jasmine matcha latte with matcha cloud and one with regular cheese foam! The drinks were tasty and had a nice matcha profile to it. It wasn't too overly sweet.
