Today was the grand opening for the newest location of HeyTea. They are offering a BOGO deal on select drinks for the first 3 days, then a BOGO 50% off deal for the next 4 days. This is only my 2nd HeyTea location visit, but I'm glad to have been introduced to this shop by their other location in Sunnyvale. Their stores are very consistent in terms of aesthetic and their drinks are made well. I didn't know it was an international brand but it's nice to know the quality is the same worldwide. I like their Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea and the Mango Grapefruit Boom. Their boba is the perfect consistency and they don't use artificial creamers. I really like how modern and streamlined their ordering process is, you can see on the monitor when your drink is ready and they scan your drink when you pick it up so that there's no confusion on the status. Opening day was well run, they passed out menus and tea samples while we waited in line. An employee came and marked our order as we waited so that we could hand the menu with our customizations (hot/cold, sugar, ice level, etc) directly to the cashier for quicker checkout. Overall, a great visit and I'll be back! read more

One of the best drinks I ever got from Heytea. Totally recommend to get while it's in season! I tried the jasmine matcha latte, supreme matcha latte, and mango cloud drink so far but out of everything I tried I really enjoyed the Cloud Coconut Blue the best! Literally I come back every week to try a new drink since almost everything from their menu has been amazing so far! read more

Genuinely don't understand the hype for this one. I liked that the fruity drinks tasted "natural" and fresh, but that was really about it. Ordered the boom, which is supposed to be slushy, but both came out as straight up liquid, and the drinks just didn't taste "good". Very meh and unimpressive overall. read more

The wait time for a walk-in is ridiculous, but pickup after ordering on the online app is a game changer for the purchase process and a golden ticket to instant gratification. The teas are super fresh and the drinks are extremely well balanced again pretty delicate floral and fruity notes. The cheese The coconut mango boom is a popular drink done better than most shops because they really have the textures down well and the sago was really smooth. But the real dark horse winner that I wouldn't have predicted is the kale boost tea fresh. Kale shouldn't taste that good. No one believes me when I say it but everyone who's tried it orders it now and is often sold out now as well. I probably shouldn't mention it in this review in order to horde more for myself, but I think it's an impressive feat that Heytea accomplished in making greens so palatable. So kudos to them for making one of my favorite drinks in the bay to date. read more

So excited HeyTea is in the Bay! Hey Tea's fruit teas are a refreshing treat! The flavors taste genuinely authentic, just like the delicious fruit teas I enjoyed back in China. Definitely recommend for a taste of home or a new fruity favorite! FYI Crowded rn bc it just opened! Worth the wait read more

It took about 30 minutes for my number to show up as completed on the screen, and when I went up they told me that they actually weren't done yet. I think drinks are really good and I can tell they use high quality ingredients, but honestly I could've gotten the same quality at a different place and saved myself 30 minutes of wait time. read more

I've visited this location two more times after trying it the first time. The Coconut Mango Boom is fresh and delicious with coconut jelly and sago. The store is always packed and the parking lot is also atrociously full. The store itself looks nice and clean. The workers greet everyone enthusiastically and hand you the receipt weirdly politely. However, when I went today it was packed more than usual. After waiting about 10 minutes in line (I didn't want to download the app on cellular), I ordered "3 Coconut Mango Booms". I sat down and then looked at my receipt and it said "3 Cloud Mango". Absolutely devastated that I paid $20 for 3 mango smoothies. It was loud and busy but I didn't expect the order to get misheard / not get repeated back. It'd be nice if there was a kiosk or a monitor to show you what your order looks like so far, before you pay. read more

There was so much hype around HeyTea, I was really excited to try it - even if that hype meant there was an hour wait between ordering and getting your drinks. I had heard that it was quite popular in Asia, but after trying it over 5x in the last few months, I'm honestly not super impressed. Their complex cloud/boom drinks look beautiful, but they don't taste like much and the large chunks of fruit in them often have lots of seedy/fibery bits that I'm not a huge fan of in drinks. That definitely proves they use real ingredients though. I've also tried their basic tea drinks, and those tasted quite watered down as well, especially after a few minutes and some of the ice had melted. read more

This Hey Tea location is in the Milpitas Square plaza. Parking may be hit or miss here, as this is a pretty busy plaza, especially on weeknights and weekends. This spot may be easily missed, as they are tucked in the corner, but since it is new, there is always a long line out of the door, so hard to miss at this moment. Pretty small location, so it was pretty cramped standing in line while getting bumped by everyone waiting inside for their drinks. Waited almost an hour in what seemingly looked like a short line and that was just to order at the counter. I tried their Jasmine Latte with boba. Waited almost another half an hour to get my drink. Drink came in a smaller cup than their other drinks (probably speciality cup for this drink because I was not able to pick the size). Taste-wise, it was a bit disappointing, especially having to wait about 1.5 hours - stronger tea taste with only a slight creaminess, which I did not prefer. read more

I had tried this tea place at San Jose location. Decided to try this location and ordered the same usual drink that I get for my son to try. The Coconut Mango Boom, my son loved it. The place was really crowded. When we ordered our drinks, there were 41 orders ahead of us. We waited about 16 minutes to get our drinks. Very popular place. No tables inside. This is more of a grab and go drink place. My son says he likes it that the drink was very fresh. We would come back. read more

SO GOOD! I first tried this place in Guangzhou because there were a ton of people waiting in line and I had to know what the fuzz was about. It was quick to order but definitely took a while to get the drinks. it was really worth the wait though, was so good, i wanted another few to share with friends immediately! Get the mango boom! I'm loving this new age of boba drinks that don't center around milk or boba (as someone who is lactose and don't like boba balls) read more

Amazing quality! I am originally from New York and I'm so glad there's a few locations in SJ for Hey Tea. This has now become my go-to bubble tea spot whenever I am in SJ for work. I got the iced Supreme Matcha Latte for $7.99! Amazing. The matcha from this place amazing quality and worth the wait. Place is always clean and is always brightly-lit. One complaint--during my visit, Pauline was a rude employee. I understand it is busy, but I had come very respectful and even waited for my turn. Though the service was disappointing, it did not take away from the fact that the drink was still delicious! Would visit again. read more

Opening weekend was buy one get one free which creates long line and wait. Took about 10 min to order and about 15 minute waiting for drinks. Even with less sweet, the drinks came out too sweet - at least the two I tried which was the Supreme Matcha Latte and the Mango Grapefruit Bloom. Maybe I need to try it with minimal sugar or no sugar added. Drinks are on the pricey side if it's not during a promotion. read more

I came here on a Sunday afternoon for some matcha latte since this place is 5 mins away from my house. The parking is terrible in this plaza during the weekends, so come early! I ordered through the kiosk and there is only one and there were two parties in front of me. I ordered through matcha cloud. When I finished ordering, the machine ran out of paper receipts. So I had to remember my number. There were a lot of orders before me and there was no number on the drinks either. It was very unorganized imo. The drink though is pretty good!! The girl that was handling out the drinks was helpful. I can see what the hype is about. However, they need a better system to handle large amount of customers. read more

This Hey Tea location has literally lost my drink order twice in the handful of times I visited. The first time was 2 months ago. It wasn't busy and it still took them another 20 minutes to rectify the situation and remake one of my drinks. Whatever, stuff happens sometimes. The second time happened today during their BOGO event for their latest drink. Like I understand it's extremely busy, and I am more than happy to give you guys some extra time to fix a lost order... but like come on. I placed my order at 11:43, I saw that the drinks were ready for pick up at 12:40, but I didn't get my drinks in hand until 1:50? Over 2 hours from when I placed the order??? The first time we asked the staff, they told us it was coming soon. 10 minutes later, we asked again and were told 5 minutes to remake the drinks. 15 minutes later, we were told they're remaking our drinks and it'll take 5 minutes... 15 minutes later, we ask again and same response--they're remaking our drinks and it'll take 5 minutes. If you guys mess up and lose our order or give it to the wrong person, it's on you guys to prioritize and immediately fix the problem. Not have your customers wait an additional hour+ ON TOP OF the hour they already waited for the drink for something you guys f'd up. Fix your service and do better. read more

I got the crisp grape boom and it was quite possibly one of the most refreshing drinks I've had in awhile! The grape flavor was strong, which I absolutely loved, and the tea itself tasted pure and clean. It didn't taste artificial at all. The drink was aromatic and it was in the form of a slushie type rink. In the future I will get straight tea next time without all the extra ice. Solid spot for tea. Upon entering the shop you can immediately smell the jasmine tea aroma that fills up the entire store. The place was super packed on a Saturday night after dinner but orders were handled very smoothly. read more

Employees are very nice, even though it's pretty evident that they're hard at work making so many drinks non stop! Tried out their matcha cloud jasmine latte for my first time and would be very interested in trying out their other drinks as well. Service is friendly and quick for how incredibly busy they are. Great drinks, lot of unique variety, and a nice aesthetic to every aspect from the cups to bags to interior. Probably one of the best tea places in the area. Only con is it can line up out the door and take 30+ minutes to pick up a drink during peak times. read more

We don't know what the hype is about. We got their signature Crisp Grape Bomb and their Mango Coconut and both felt short for us. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and saw that they were pumping out a bunch of mango drinks so we opted for one. There was a decent line to order at the single self service kiosk (online ordering is available through their app) which gave us time to decide our order. However, we ordered our drinks incorrectly! Everyone was ordering the coconut mango boom in non-slushie form and we ordered it as it slushie. It was still delicious, but next time we'll definitely be ordering it in non-slushie format. Prices are on the higher side, but there was mango chunks and a lot of toppings in our drinks so price could be justified. They also had several other drinks that I had my eye on so I'll definitely be making another visit again, but maybe just a different location that isn't as crazy busy. There's not much space inside and can get quite crowded with people either waiting to order or waiting for their order. There's some benches on the sides but honestly it was so stuffy inside the store that it wasn't very comfortable to be inside. We waited outside for our order and just continually checked the tv screens that displayed order numbers being worked on and order numbers that were ready. FYI the time estimate for orders was incorrect and it took about 20-25 minutes to receive our order. But we also noticed that our order had been ready and was sitting there for quite some time, there may have just not been a person available to update the orders. read more

I bought 2 sets of of the collab drink, which mean i was able to have 4 sticker package and all the merchandise they advertising. Very bad experience with HeyTea on January 6,2026. Ordered via the app at 1:33pm and wait time is approx 16 mins according to app confirmation. But 30 mins later it's still showing as preparing the order. The tv screen also shows that my order number is preparing. I hesitate to "poke" the order as I felt it will be rude since it's also lunch rush hour. By 2:15 pm I walked up to the staff and asked what happened to my order. He said "oh it's been ready for a while"!!!! And offered to re-prep it but will take another 5 mins. I finally got my drinks at 2:19pm. But my question is: what happened in the whole process ? Why wasn't my ordered updated as ready? Did someone forgot a step???? If the process is not properly followed through by your employees many customers will be in the same boat as me and be disgruntled! I would appreciate the owner responding to this post!!! read more

I love heytea! I had this for the first time in Malaysia, and I was so sad when we came back to the states. So when this place opened up, we had to go. If you go on a weekday, there's usually never a wait, but be prepared to have a huge wait during weekends. I get the mango grapefruit boom and it's my favorite! I highly recommend the drink-perfect amount of mango and creaminess. I love how it's not too sweet! There's a good amount of seating, so it's nice to rest while waiting for your drink. There aren't any tables, so it's more of bench style seating Even though there is a long wait, the drink comes out fairly fast read more

Probably one of my favorite boba places in the bay. Located alongside a bunch of asian restaurants this boba spot is next to the ranch 99. Very nice atmosphere but no seating. I came in on a sunday and it was packed with people. You can order from the kiosk as well as at the register. A bit of a limited menu especially for fruit teas as the only fruit tea is the passion fruit. Wait time to get the drink was around 10-15 minutes but they also had your number on the tv to tell if your drink is ready or not. The drink itself was very good, I would definitely come here again for another drink. Overall i'll give it a 10/10 read more

Saturday was our first Hey Tea experience. Small store in Milpitas location has nice and simple aesthetic. Long line to order with one cashier, or you scan the QR code for their app and skip the line. We opted for the line and it actually moved pretty fast. Matcha drinks looked tempting but I didn't want anything caffeinated for late afternoon refreshment. I ordered a coconut mango boom. Happy that it can be customized with less sugar and less ice! My order number didn't show up on the screen and didn't hear it called out either. I checked with the server at the counter, and the drink was right there! Coconut mango was sweet and creamy, good as expected. Love to try a matcha drink and visit their Sunnyvale location next time! read more

I love heytea and usually head to the Sunnyvale location and have also gone to the North Valley location. I've gone to this Milpitas location once before and I was happy. However this visit, made me want to stick to the other locations. My drink was ready via notification so I went up to the counter and it was uncapped and not ready. There was a girl in blue highlights who then tried to finish making the drink and she added tea and cream and was trying to cap the drink, which slipped. During the slip, the cream top had splashed outside of the counter onto the floor of the store. This is honestly not a big deal as accidents always happen but the way it was handled was the issue. I had worked at a boba shop so I understand but her inattentiveness was what made this experience subpar. She didn't go out to wipe the floor to take care of her mess for quite awhile and she didn't apologize to customers who were standing/sitting in the waiting area right by the spill. Her coworker had to go clean the floor for her. Furthermore, I had stepped to the side and sat back down to let her clean up as I didn't want to be standing up at the counter since I figured it'd add more of a rush/pressure. I imagined that the drink was being remade because no one had called me back up to the counter. I eventually went back since I was seeing them put out other drinks. My drink was on the counter, unwiped with cream still smeared all over the sides of the cups. One of the guys handed me the drink and wiped it with a dirty towel (which they kept using without exchanging with new towels). The towel has cream on it and essentially him wiping it was just smearing the cream residue all over. I asked for a napkin which they didn't readily have over the counter (he had to go grab it from the back). And I left with a drink that wasn't remade, and was all sticky, through that long wait (because of the spill, the clean up, and lack of communication on whether or not they'd remake it). So a sour impression of this particular location was all that was left. read more

Another Milk tea location opening up in Milpitas, but this place is one of the top / best of Milpitas! Recently open and this location and most of hey tea locations have been fully / highly staffed so the drinks still get done quick even if there is a line! A lot of competition in the plaza for milk tea supremacy... but this location is one of the best read more

a little disappoin-tea-ed! i heard this chain is super popular so i thought the drinks would be so good that they'd blow my toes off. however it was kind of underwhelming. service was really nice though and i always love eco friendly straws/bags! also the place smells like trees (in a good non-overwhelming way). i tried their famous triple matcha drink, coconut mango bloom, and brown sugar milk tea. triple matcha thing was honestly mid. i have had smoother matchas elsewhere. jelly could've been firmer. the drink is quite heavy so expect some tummy churning later! compared to other specialty matcha drinks it's okay... compared to your average matcha latte though (which usually tastes like milk and not matcha) the drink is great. coconut mango bloom was above average? ngl it is very hard to find good mango sago here in the bay. atp i'd just make it at home. it was way too sweet at 50% and not enough mango flavor. the drink was very floral though and smelled like my grandma (in a good way) so it's worth a try. the brown sugar milk tea is pretty typical. boba is a bit weird - i noticed it was smaller and softer than your average qq pearls. if you're a fan of that ume chain then i'm sure you'd like this drink. however i'm not, sorry boo! read more

Very original drinks and fast service! Minimal to no seating inside but there's tables outside to sit.

Yumberry boom, less ice less sugar, seemed decently sweet, many fruit chunks, had one seed tho, jasmine tea goes well.

I was so excited to try heytea since I've heard many good things! I got the coconut mango boom, and wow, it was super yummy. The mango is perfectly sweet, and the coconut balanced it out without being too overpowering. I think there's also some types of jelly in it which I really enjoyed. I did expect the drink to be a bit colder, so I hope they can make that change. Overall, I really liked the drink, and I can definitely see myself coming back here a lot. The store is a bit small, and it was crowded on a Saturday. Nonetheless, the barista was so nice, and our order came out relatively quick. read more

I walk in and place order at kiosk. Waited over 25min while the counter was full of unclaimed drinks from mobile orders. Service horrible! There's a pic of the guy who served us in another review which said this store's success is due to him. I highly doubt that. If there is a store manager at this store which I highly doubt too, they need to restructure everything about this store. The employee training...No personality. No smiles. Not helpful. Rude. We waited over half hour for our drinks which I guess is standard. However we kept checking on our drinks cuz the people after us got theirs before us. When I asked again, he was like what's your number like he's irritated!! I told him again. And he said oh it's been sitting here!!! What?? When our number on the board, was still under the preparing and we've been asking you for the last 15 minutes!! Then you have the lame one order machine so this place can always look like they have a long line. And no menus to see except near the lame one order screen. Not to mention, another reviewer said this place smells like roasted tea or something. Not!! I have a headache from the smell. My friend said it smells like soap. I can't even place what it smells like. But it's so strong it just gives you a headache. I couldn't even stand in there. Besides it being so stuffy too! I will never go to this location again. I told my kids not to go there too. And I will tell anyone i know not to go here. That's how bad the whole service and experience was! Hope they can hire someone to rethink the layout, the whole inefficient process of passing out their drinks and most importantly put people up in front who have personality and can greet customers with a smile. read more
