I've been to henhouse many times and it is always top-notch with their food. It is so good. We went on a Saturday and we got seated in about five minutes. They have opened up the restaurant to make more room for seating which I thought was amazing. The staff was all very kind and helpful. The establishment inside was clean. If you haven't tried this place you need to come try it. The one I went to is 3133 South Lindsay Rd. that's their first one and I love that one.!! Keep up the great work I love this restaurant

Mini blueberry pancakes (sorry, forgot photo initially)

I had a very pleasant experience here. Arrived on a Saturday around 11am You could tell it was the end of the breakfast rush, we were sat right away. Heard the server said 0930 is their busiest. Tables a bit small so I could see someone with a taller bigger frame may not like that. The house coffee was good black, well bodied. We weren't offered top offs so idk if that would have been extra. My bf got their strawberry filled French toast that he really enjoyed. We both don't like overly sweet things and it was just at the right spot. I got the mini blueberry pancakes, and I really enjoyed them! Full of flavor, dense and airy all at the same time, and they are huge, def can split that. We got a side of eggs and bacon- basic. Extra charge for the whip cream, only 99c but it would have been nice to know when being offered. Our server was nice and friendly. My only critiques would be I wish they blasted the AC a bit more, coming in from the heat, I want to be able cool down before enjoying my hot breakfast. Lol One cup had a lipstick stain, even tho I'm sure it was clean an extra wipe down would have been nice. The bucket of creamers had an empty old one in there lol so just a bit more attention to a small detail like that. Other than that, we were pleasantly surprised with our visit and both would come back. From previous reviews I think just be aware that way you can fully enjoy your visit. Don't bring in outside things, plan for a large party, and avoid the rush if you can.

Strangely upon arrival before sunrise, the store did not look open, then actually had this conversation with the Janelle & Barta, who are so friendly & represent the store very well. When you arrive while it's still dark out, look for the "open" sign, they're open! That's a great thing because it's . Service is 5 star , pleasant, attentive & helpful. Sitting at the counter allowed me the joy of hearing the Chef (John's) music, his Playlist is excellent & I really appreciated it, almost as much as the delicious breakfast he makes. I had the Pork Chilli Verde with scrambled eggs & potatoes! This is my go to dish at the Henhouse, everytime regardless of the location, this dish is excellent. Get to any of the locations, but come see Janelle, Barta & John down here because they know how to represent a top notch store!

BLTA and soup

Cute place for breakfast and lunch. Met my ex-coworker here for lunch. For food we ordered - mix of food. My friend ordered the cinnamon bun plus eggs/bacon. I ordered the BLTA as the cheese for the grilled cheese was limited (no Swiss for me). The BLTA was delicious. The tomato bisque was underwhelming and cold. The cinnamon roll was good but full of air. The coffee was hot and good. We enjoyed our lunch and would return. Service was friendly and quick.

Big portion size for breakfast. Server was good and our meal came out quick. Chicken fried chicken was okay, typical breakfast meal but the gravy was missing something- it was almost too bland IMO. Biscuit was good- highly recommend that, nice and fluffy w a nice outer crisp.

Henhouse Cafe has been on my radar for over a year, and I finally had the chance to visit in August. My husband and I arrived shortly after 1 PM on a Saturday and were greeted and seated right away. The cafe wasn't busy at that time. The atmosphere was relaxed. We ordered the following: Cinnamon roll Veggie skillet Irish Benedict Cold brew Though the cinnamon roll was big and looked tempting, it turned out to be a bit dry. My veggie skillet was delicious and filling. I appreciated the generous amount of veggies. My husband ordered the Irish benedict and enjoyed it as well. The cold brew was quite good. Pleasant experience overall!

Machaca beef skillet with corn tortillas

Enjoyed breakfast at the henhouse. I had the corned beef hash and my husband had the machaca beef skillet along with orange juice and coffee. The orange juice was fantastic and tasted freshly squeezed, the coffee was just ok. Our server was super sweet and allowed me to switch the bread to a small pancake for a small upcharge. The pancake was HUGE and delicious. It had a cinnamon flavor that reminded me of snicker doodle...so yummy! Lots of ample seating throughout the restaurant. A good choice for anyone that loves breakfast.

Excellent service, it was ready in 10 minutes. Biscuits and gravy, seasoned potatoes, homemade sausage, and scrambled eggs. Everything was fantastic, I couldn't finish it.

Had brunch with friends at this location on Sunday and woo was this place busy. We arrived at 11:45am and there was a wait. We were told about 30 minutes or so which we didn't think was bad as we thought it was going to be longer. My name was called out when our table was ready and we were seated. The server came over right away and he introduced himself very kindly and took our drink orders. Once he brought the drinks out, he took our food orders. We ordered: 1 Grandpa skillet 1 Veggie Skillet 1 Kids meal - eggs, bacon 1 Barn Buster 1 Chicken Fried Steak 1 Short stack of regular pancakes The food didn't take too long and we dug in. I had the Grandpa skillet and it wasn't what I expected. It had no flavor and was very bland. I basically used the whole bottle of Tabasco and salt to give it some flavor. My friend said the veggie skillet was also the same way and she found that it had no flavor. The chicken entrée was the best out of the group and the chicken tasted amazing. If I were to go again, I would order this. We originally decided on having brunch here because of the big ol pancake we have seen all over social media. When ordering it, the server let us know that it was huge and it was more for a group of 10 or more people. Good thing we listened to him and went with the short stack because we ended up sharing it and we still had a few slices left over. We found it to be a little too dry for our liking even after putting butter and syrup on top. It was nothing special. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. Our server did a great job on checking up on us and was very nice.

Do they have real syrup or the sugary stuff from walmart?

All of the employees are cross trained so everyone can do any job in the house. You place your order and are given a "buzzer coaster", you find a table inside or out, the server brings your drink order as they locate your table with the "buzzer." When the food is ready, and it is ready quickly, the order is delivered to your table hot and fresh. The server checks back a couple of times after your food arrives but the attentiveness of the staff is second to none. Last but not least, the food was great. I feel like you can order anything on the menu, unless you don't like a good group or you have allergies and be happy with whatever you ordered. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the space has booths, as well as tables. Outside seating is covered and had high volume misters. The place is modern yet cozy. We have been back twice, once for breakfast, once for lunch and both experiences were great. We have found a new go to spot!

I don't even like honey mustard but for some reason I liked the dipping sauce. I would recommend coming here for a nice patio dining meal or a retro/modern -esque experience.

I went with an Orange Blossom beer and the Bourbon Trail burger. The burger was good, without overpowering flavors. The burger is really a delivery for the toppings here, which included grilled onions, fried onions and a bourbon aioli. It was good but I'll probably try something else next time because they have so many burgers to choose from. I think they normally have sweet potato tots but had fries at this time and they were also good. Generous portion of fries next to the mountain of a burger. We also tried the cheese curds which were good. They had a little spice to them but I think you can get them without spice. The beef quality sub par: Lack of flavor and weird mealy grind that has some inedible chunks in it. It seems like bargain food service ground beef. I know ingredients cost is out of control especially for beef, but for $17+ a burger I expect to be able to define the cook I want with some type of local beef, a good blend like chuck + brisket, or wagyu. You can head over to Four Peaks, AZ Wilderness, Ghost Ranch, Bad Jimmy's and many other spots nearby and get a far superior burger in the same price range. In fact, I think almost any sports bar nearby probably makes a better burger. If they sorted out their burger game this place would be a 4.5. Brew's, you can do better.
