This is literally one of the coolest boba spots I've been to. The inside is clean, spacious, & filled with cute decor. There was a tree shaped bookshelf, and the tables were set up really uniquely. The employees were super friendly and engaging. They have a variety of drinks, & the ones I tried were really good ( taro milk tea & thai tea ). They have a playing area with games, but what made me super excited was the fact that they had video games & my friends and I, had a great time playing Mario Kart & hanging out. They have a loyalty card which gives you a free drink on your 10th visit. They offer a 10% off student discount as well! read more

BOBA in Allen! We went to their soft opening and was impressed with the owner and workers friendliness and service. The owner greeted us and explained the menu to us. The inside of the store is very clean and spacious. There is even a cute tree shaped bookshelf with a free library! Hello Boba has a variety of specialty drinks with cute names. Some drinks are even organic! They had a 25% off Specialty Drinks special so I wanted to choose something from that. Everything sounded so delicious it took a minute for me to decide. Overall beverage prices may seem a little more, but you don't have to pay extra for Honey Boba so it evens out. Sucks for those who don't want boba? Their Honey Boba is super fresh and delicious! Rose of Texas was not too sweet and very refreshing too. The balance between the fruits and boba was good as well. We're looking forward to try their other drinks next time. Oh how I love stumbling on to something good when I visit somewhere else! We actually went to a different restaurant (right next door), but my hubby wanted a drink and what did he see? Boba. So he was stuffed but still went in, with my little one in tow, to get boba. We found a gem! Everyone is very friendly AND the next time I went in with my little one, the gentleman helping us remembered him! So my little guy was impressed and he got a free sample of the exploding bubbles. Sorry don't recall what they are called, I like my drinks without them usually, but these were good. My son loved them! They were SO kind and put them in his drink without a cost! So he is enamored now with Hello Boba. I love the thai tea. However, I got my oldest son an orange smoothie. Oh, it may be my new fave! We WILL be going back. Boba is great, service is awesome, and the atmosphere is the best! I was a little skeptical when ordering because there weren't my usual drinks on the menu, however I got something that the worker suggested. The taro milk tea was phenomenal with the perfect blend of sweet. The staff was so friendly and answered all the questions that we had. This place had Nintendo controllers to play Mario Kart which is a super cool idea. They also had a cute little kids area in the back, and some books for customers to read. I really think this is a hidden asset to Allen, and if I lived closer I'd be there all the time. Cute little place with a variety of already suggested smoothies, milk teas and specialty drinks. They also have a build your own boba menu with 2 add-ins for free. Our families drinks were all great tasting. Forgot to minimize the sugar, not sure if that was an option. They don't have to foam, cheese or yogurt that I like to add for the creaminess in my drinks. I want to give a better rating however the flavor was just bad for the boba tea I ordered. It was a standard flavor as well, and I did not ask for anything extra or special. When I first saw the dirty boba I started having my doubts, but I figured maybe the taste would be better. And unfortunately I was wrong. It tasted more like stale coffee at best. I live in Dallas, but my boyfriend always seems eager to make the drive to Allen just to get some Hello Boba. What makes Hello Boba different, you ask? First of all, all of their drinks come with complimentary honey boba (FREE!). You can even ask for double boba, still FREE! Second, they offer a wide assortment of fruit drinks. I love the Lychee explosion. It comes with lychee popping boba, real lychee pieces, and lychee jelly. Need I say more? I haven't tried their milk teas, so can't speak to that. I ordered the superstar with boba. The staff were incredibly friendly. However, they did initially give me a medium even though I ordered a large, but they immediately fixed it once I told them. They also answered any questions I had about the drinks. However, I will not be coming back here. The boba was hard and overly chewy. On top of that, after I drank the drink, there was a medicinal taste and after taste that wasn't pleasant. I ended up throwing the rest of my drink away as I just couldn't get used to the taste. Spare your money and time and go somewhere else. Figured it was time for a change of scenery from the other boba places I've been to so I gave this place a shot. I'm writing a 1-star review because the worker was extremely overworked by being the only employee on-site, paid for a drink and waited for over 20 minutes just to realize that they didn't have the ingredients, and lastly, was refunded cash (although I paid with my card) and received less than what I paid for. What really pushed me over the edge was the fact that customer service is really what makes a restaurant or service "good", but If I could leave 0 stars I would. I feel bad for the worker. When I first moved to Texas in 2019, this was the first boba tea place that I visited since it was close to Mckinney. The owners of this shop have been very nice and welcoming to every time I visit there. Before covid, the atmosphere was great because they had games that you can play with and they even had like an area where you can play video games such as with the nintendo switch. I like the different boba tea fusion flavors such as the Rose of Texas. I also like how the boba is always free. They recently have large cup sizes. If I still lived closer to that area, then I would be visiting this place every week. If you are ever close to this area, then you should try this place out. read more

I absolutely love that you can get extra tapioca pearls and it doesn't cost you -- well, it might cost you a sore jaw from all the chewing, hehe! The honey pearls are divine. It makes a difference in the drink. Another perk is that for a Saturday evening, they weren't busy at all so that was cool; in and out in under 5mins for a tasty drink. Minus 1 star for 2 things: 1) It was incredibly hot and mucky inside. Fortunately, we weren't sticking around but we plan on coming back and playing some games and it would be nice to have a comfortable environment to chill in. Great boba place in Allen! I live off Legacy and there's at least 6 different boba shops within two miles. But this place is definitely in my top 3! BOBA IS FREE HERE! But it's perfectly sweetened with honey and has a good chewiness. I like to ask for half the amount and it's perfect as I don't like a lot of toppings in my drink. I love the malibu sunset (coconut milk, tea, and pineapple) it's so refreshing and light and reminds me of the pink drink I like to get at Starbucks. First of all, Honey Boba (Tapioca) comes FREE with EVERY drink. No more wasting 50 cents on boba. This is also a mom-and-pop place and the owners are not just friendly. They are SUPER friendly. One day, I came up just as the owner was opening the store. The door was still locked, yet he saw me and unlocked it to let me in. Free wifi, free video games to play, and lots of library books to read. Good place to take my nieces and nephews when they visit. Inside was very clean as well. Yikes. I had a rule of thumb from experience that you should never buy boba from a place that doesn't show you the process of them making it in front of you. Today I ordered an avocado slush and coconut milk tea with boba and it was exactly what I had feared. The drink definitely tasted powdered and the boba balls were rubbery. On top of that the prices were higher than average :/. If the drinks truly are powdered, the higher prices are not justified. There was a lot of space in the shop to play games, but I would recommend just forgoing all of that and just making better boba. I would rate the quality of the drink 3.5/10. The disappointment is real. But this is what I get for breaking my own rule of steering clear of places that don't blend the drink in front of you. Just save your money. It was a few minutes before we were greeted and our order taken. The menu is varied and there are so many options. Prices are ok, but it's the only boba place in town! This Boba place is located in the Allen area, but it's worth the drive from Plano. The drinks are unique and a bit pricier, but they're definitely good. The best part is Free Honey Boba! I tried two drinks while there: The Allen Eagle Eyes and also a strawberry banana smoothie. The Allen Eagle Eyes was a one-of-a-kind drink that contained basil seeds, strawberries, and other small ingredients. It felt really light, and it was definition a specialty drink unique to the store. The strawberry banana smoothie was good and tasted like expected. One of the best things about this place is definitely the service and the man working the register. He was very approachable, and it seemed like he truly enjoyed making every drink. As for the actual boba: I was disappointed. I have been to dozens of unique boba places across DFW (which primarily tend to be centered around the Richardson/Plano area) and Hello Boba is near the bottom of that list. Heard this place was good from my neighbors. I think it is okay. The tea flavor is balance for me. The shop is also very close to home. The problem I had was with the boba. It did not taste sweet. I think they forgot to season it with honey or sugar. Also, it is said that Honey Boba is free... uh it cost $4.60 for cold tea drink with boba. 3.5/5 Update: Boba is free, but their drinks alone do cost just a little more than some other places so adding toppings does add up. Compared to the couple times Ive been here, the amount of boba they put has evidently decreased BUT this place is pretty cute. Interiors of boba shops are so important because people are really into a modern, clean, minimalist place they can work at. I love their wide marble counter (I freakin love marble). The owner was really nice, too. I can tell their teas are fresh. We got the Pom Pom, the lychee green tea, and milk tea. The milk tea in my opinion is the most important of all boba places. Y'all, their milk tea is gooood. It reminds me of kung fu tea milk tea but a little more chocolate-y which I don't really mind. Pom pom is like a pomegranate strawberry tea. It has a bitter after taste because of the pomegranate. Cashier girl really didn't know too much about the menu, but I guess it's okay because it was just a soft opening. They also forgot the lychee jellies that came with the Pom Pom which I didn't really mind, but after adding it in it made the drink better since it removed the bitter aftertaste.
