Note 3 stars is an average rating signifying that nothing is bad but nothing went beyond expectations. I got exactly what I expected coming here. I wanted to hit the closest boba spots while I was on a trip in Texas and Hello Boba was the first on this list. I'd say it was a good starting point as I wasn't disappointed, but I do think there's room to improve. Drinks can be a bit pricey at $6.50 for a large, however this may be standard in Texas. I have some biased perspective from all the Seattle boba where that's considered expensive. Honey boba has a light coating and a firm chewiness not the bouncy kind but still good. granted my boba was fresh as i had to wait 10 mins. tea is light and pretty typical but on the sweeter side. even at 50% sugar it felt like 100%. smooth consistency though but very standard tea, milk, and sugar. Also tried a berry smoothie and it wasn't blended the best (a bit chunky), but in the end it followed through the straw fine. The consistency of the smoothie could have been better though and it also did not fill up the cup, leaving some pockets of air.

Delicious and so refreshing!

We came here after a long day of playing tennis and I didn't want to drive to our usual boba place as it would have been out of our way from driving back home. The reviews were promising so we stopped here to get some drinks. Sooooo the 4 star rating is for their delicious and refreshing tea. But if I would have to rate their boba tea it would be a 3 star. There are way better boba tea places and unfortunately their tapioca is lacking the texture and taste. But nevertheless their tea (rose of Texas) was amazing. Refreshing, tangy and perfect for a hot day. Almost reminded me of the strawberry tea at Starbucks.

First time here: 2.5/5 stars it's was okay. I ordered through the Yelp app and waited so long and then arrived here and still wasn't ready. Had to go inside and tell them I was picking up and they finally stared making the 2 drinks I ordered. Today was the second time here: I decided to give this place another shot. I tried to order a BASIC taro milk with boba tea, I asked if it could be made with black tea (like most places do!) he gave me nasty look and said no. So I did not order my drink. However, I still managed to order a drink for my wife and it was this green tea in this picture. She not only hated the drink but she hated their service. The drink tasted too sweet and all syrup. The popping boba was horrible it tasted like soap and chemicals. Never will support this local place again. If I could give it 0/5 I would.

I had the Vietnamese coffee with boba. It was good, but the price is a little too steep. Can't buy this everyday for sure. I asked the fella for a frequent flyer card. He was a little hesitant initially, but gave me one. I will be back because my beautician is next door! So good move to give me a punch card! This place is nothing special. But it could be!! 2018/48

Classic Milk Tea w/boba

2.5/5 I got the Classic Milk Tea. There was a little tea flavor in there but overall the drink was more milky and sweet. I did get the default sugar (what I usually do the first time I try a place out) and in my opinion is sweet compared to default sugar amounts at many other boba locations. The boba itself was decent and had some flavor to it. It was not mushy or overly chewy so that's better than a lot of other places!

Thai Tea with honey boba

Hello Boba has a bright, colorful interior and a really friendly staff. Unfortunately, the bubble tea itself was a disappointment. I ordered the Thai Tea with honey boba because that's usually a safe bet when trying a new bubble tea place. However, the tea was seriously lacking in flavor and the boba was stale and clumped together. Hopefully my experience was a one off but I would not be recommending it to a friend.

I got the taro milk tea. Tapioca pearls seemed smaller .. and chewier ? Overall service was fast, it tasted like all the other bobas. Only one family there , books on the other side for ppl to read. Around $4 something cents maybe should have tried the smoothie taro ? Tho for the drink only finished it halfway and placed it in my fridge , too sugary like all bobas. Got my fix tho

First time here. Cool drinks. I probably should've said a little less sugar but we both still enjoyed our drinks and will be back

I am very happy to have a bubble tea spot in this area! I want to start with the service - this is a family-owned boba joint. And the service is awesome! The couple here is trying to accommodate the need of every customer! They are extremely helpful and nice, especially if you don't know which drink to pick. It was my second time there last week-end.The owners remembered me and even knew what I ordered the first time. Kid-friendly environment with books, Lego station, board and video games. Clean and cute design. Not very spacious but very effective use of space. Drinks here are delicious. I am not a bubble tea expert yet but I enjoyed what I tried. Both times the drinks were a bit too sweet to me but the owner promised to add less sugar next time. Don't forget to ask about their loyalty card. You will get a stamp for every drink you purchase. Collect 10 stamps and you will get one FREE drink. This will be my go-to bubble tea spot when I am in Allen.

Jeez. Called on Christmas Eve to ask if they were open. They said "yes, we are--until 8." Well, clearly not, because we showed up at 6:00 p.m. and the place was locked down tight! On principle alone, I will NEVER come here again. -- -- Okay, so we finally made it when they opened after the holidays. My six-year-old daughter loved it; wife loved it--and I loved it. I went in for the Blueberry Green Tea. It was honestly the most smooth, flavorful bubble tea I've had in Texas. Period. We will be back. Also...the owners are very nice and warm. This place has two TVs and Nintendo Switches for kids and adults!

My husband and I stopped here randomly one evening and were pleasantly surprised! Firstly, we like when a boba place has two sizes, sometimes the large is just too large. But we also thought the boba were perfectly cooked! We would come back again.

Milk tea and Vietnamese frappe

Yay! Boba in Allen!! Cute family owned boba joint. It's bit hidden since it's not facing the main roads but it's in the same building as the Chinese buffet place. My kids went right to the board games when we went in and they later entertained themselves in the kids area with LEGO blocks and a play kitchen. So yeah, it's very kid friendly. I tried their Vietnamese frappe and classic milk tea. They also have a dirty milk tea which has a shot of espresso. The girl taking my order didn't seem to know much about the menu since she didn't know what taro bites were and what a dirty milk tea was. She had to turn around and ask the owners both times. I guess that's okay since it's only the second day of their soft opening. The only other place that I know of that has Vietnamese frappe is fat straws, which is about 30 mins away. The Vietnamese frappe was pretty good. Not too sweet and had a good coffee flavor, which what a Vietnamese coffee should be. I would order it again. My daughter didn't like the milk tea. She's use to the milk tea at Kung Fu. I tasted it and thought the tea flavor was very strong. I am not much of milk tea drinker so don't take my word for it. The menu seems to have a lot of interesting drinks so I will be back again to try some of them. I will definitely be back for the Vietnamese frappe. Big plus for the stamp card and the boba itself had the right amount of chewy texture.

Nothing too special, but it does the job. I was headed to a meeting in McKinney and found Hello Boba right off of 75. I've passed this location before and I was craving boba so I stopped on by. The shop was simple. They had couches, some games and TVs. It definitely looks catered to a high school hang out. I tried the taro milk tea. Pretty normal and probably made with powder. The boba wasn't as soft as I would have liked it. But again, it did the job and I got my boba tea fix. If I ever go back, I'll ask the staff for their specialty drink. It's one of the few boba places in Allen, so if you live in the area, then it may be your best choice. But if you are looking for more unique boba places, keep driving south on 75 to Plano.

Fresh and tasty!

This place doesn't have an Oriental ambience. The taro milk tea was ok, but the boba in it was hard.

So good, and fastest service of any boba place I've been to. Their tapioca pearls are also the best of any boba places in the area

Unfortunately, I left disgusted and concerned regarding the cleanliness after witnessing an incident at the counter. I observed an employee drop the lid of a pitcher onto the floor on the customer side of the counter. A customer picked it up and handed it back to the employee, who then placed it back on the pitcher without rinsing it. I said "you do realize that just fell on the floor." She gave me THE NASTIEST look and got an uncalled attitude as she took it and slammed it on the counter. I was just completely shocked and in disbelief. The pitcher had about 2/3 of a mix in it, obviously contaminated now but, I'm sure some unfortunate customers were served it. She didn't go discard it nor did she rinse the lid. I'd love the manager/owner to look at the camera. It was between 1-1:30 pm. The situation was disappointing and concerning from a sanitation standpoint. It raises many red flags on food safety practices, especially since this occurred in full view of customers. I share this feedback so that appropriate training and corrective action can be taken to ensure customer health and safety moving forward.
