Country Charm Coffee

Headed home this Sunday morning. We had breakfast at Sunview Café, in Anna. I needed more caffeine…read morefor the drive. Just a few blocks east is Country Charm Coffee. They were open on this bright sunny morning. It is a modern small coffee shop, capable making just about any coffee concoction that you could want. The very friendly owners were managing the counter this morning. I had an Americano with a shot of cream. My wife had some kind of white mocha or something. Great tasting coffee, fair prices, fast service. They also have a few pastries, scones, and monstrous sized cookies. The name of the shop "Country Charm Coffee" is a little deceiving. There were no farm tools, saddles, or horse collars, hanging on the wall. No road signs, flour sacks, pickle barrels, or even a vintage oil company sign. It's modern city décor. There was a piece of barn tin decorating the counter. That will work. And written on the wall, "Welcome Y'all!" "Charm?" I really don't have the skill set needed to properly assess charm. I'll stick with friendly. I know what friendly is. Lastly, no drive through. I hate drive throughs anyway. I like to go in, meet the folks running the place, and see what the operation looks like. So, get out of the car, stretch, only a few steps to the front door. Call it a workout. Counts as 4 calories. After a workout like that, you earned whipped cream on your drink. The shop is one mile east of US-75 on the north side of W. White Street. Skip Buc-ee's coffee in Melissa and support this local business.

Great charming spot in Ana. The owner is very kind and you can sense his passion towards coffee…read more The place was clean and the coffee beans used tasted fresh. Definitely will return. Place does get crowded fast if you want to work there.

This has become one of my favorite spots! Every time I walk in, I'm reminded why I keep coming…read moreback. The inside is seriously stunning cozy, welcoming, and so thoughtfully designed. The light wood floors, soft colors, hanging plants, and curated furniture make it feel like a cross between a boutique café and a really pretty living room. The staff has always been kind and friendly the first time I had a lot of questions and the gentleman working was patient and helpful! Very appreciative! There's art for sale throughout the space, a little bookshelf you can borrow from, and even a private room you can reserve for meetings. Their bathrooms are honestly beautiful too (yes, I notice these things ). You can tell so much love and detail went into creating this environment. My drink recs: * Honey Cinnamon Latte (warm, comforting, perfectly sweet) * Blueberry Chai Latte (so unique + SO good) * Caramel Macchiato w/ an extra shot (sweet, strong, and absolutely amazing -- the perfect balance ) All are 10/10 and worth coming back for alone. The food menu is also great quality, fresh, and just as thoughtful as the drinks. This place is perfect for: Working remotely or studying Coffee dates Meetings A cozy solo moment to read and reset I love discovering places that feel like a second home, and George's Coffee @ 121 is definitely one of them. If you're in the area, go you'll understand.

Great coffee shop find! I met a fellow language-learning student here for coffee over the summer,…read moreand went back a couple more times. Loved the home-feel and coziness. The food was great, and so were the drinks I got (all iced drinks in the summer). We had a great time catching up on the comfy sofas and chairs up front. When I came back later, I set up at one of the tables and worked online for a little while. I believe I saw that they have a drive-through! Definitely a great alternative to the national chains. I've just ordered and they tell me it's another 25-30 minute wait. I'll be back with a review of the food and more details then. I'm back after a total wait of one hour! Let me say,it was worth the wait. If they are still open when you read this,it's worth the trip. I've had this place book marked several years. Opened in 1951, it's the quintessential small town burger stand. I just forgot about it until the other day when I read they're closing. Don't cry,it's because of real estate values. It's no longer economically feasible to make small profits working hard no matter how good the burgers are. The burgers are really good. This place is slammed. I saw two large door dash orders go out and a lot of people that must have ordered online Coming and going. Finally my name was called and I took my piping hot brown paper sack to the hood of my truck. Looking into the sack, loose fry, pull it out, bite it, perfect. Unwrap burger, looks fantastic, bitting into it.... satisfaction! I'm a sucker for small towns but Anna is no more. In only five years the influx of migrants from other states have fueled exponential growth. It's happening everywhere and places like Spurlocks are the victims. It's our loss too,as these quaint old places harbor a lot of history. The kind that built America. Usually the Yelp community competes to be the first to Review a new business. I find it satisfying in this case and honored that I may be the last to Review... The Malt Shop

Found this gem on help when looking for a local ice cream shop in Anna!…read more Upon arriving and parking, you could tell this was an older business, but that it was gonna pump out some good old-fashioned food! And we were not wrong... We tried the cookies and cream malt, fried Oreos, as shown in the picture, and of course we had to get some fries. All came out piping hot, except for the malts, of course. My kid said it was one of the best malts they have ever had, which is a strong statement because they are ice cream connoisseur lol. Their fries were crinkle cut which just added to the old school feel the fried Oreos were cooked to perfection and exactly what I wanted There is a cute little indoor seating area next to the kitchen, but we didn't take advantage of it because we got our food to go. However, we will definitely be back now that we are locals.
