I needed to mount my TV in the new apt and figured I'd type in "tv mounting" to Google.... HD Installs populated near the top and they had a lot of good reviews so I'd figure I'd give them a call. Stefan was absolutely amazing to deal with over the phone and in person. I wanted to wait until Comcast set up my cable before the tv was mounted and I switched my appointment with HD Installs 3 different times (due to Comcast being idiots). Stefan was very nice and understanding. When cable was finally installed, HD Installs was able to come by my apt on very short notice and complete the job (55 inch TV, with wires hidden). These guys were quick, professional, and reasonably priced. I'm glad I got them because the studs in my wall are metal and there is no way I was going to be able to do that with my own drill. They checked with me to make sure everything looked right and was at my desired space on the wall before doing anything. HD installs is awesome. I got 3 quotes, all from the top 3 in chicago on Yelp. I'm not going to name the other companies, but they were no where as good as HD Installs. The other company #1 came to look at my job and he was a nice guy and all but he flat out said he couldn't do my job, it was too complicated. The 2nd company I called came out and gave me an astronomical high price and wanted to provide the equipment. Then HD Installs came out and they are very relaxed and easy to work with. I was told what to buy, so I ordered it on amazon and when it all arrived he came by and put everything together. The price was very reasonable and affordable. Another feature I really liked is that they prefer text message as communication which suited me really well. I wish I could give them 6 stars. Great company. Great everything. The first job comprised of hanging my first thin screen modern TVs and hiding the cables. So beautiful! Then, last year I re-hired HD Installs to re-install the hidden wire setup after a complete condo remodel along with floating shelves for media and decorative components. While the sound bar fell off the wall one day four months later, Stephan promptly returned my request to evaluate and fix the situation free of charge. The original tech Charles G rehung the sound bar using much better weight bearing anchors as he said he no longer uses the original anchors used. As background, we live in a newer high rise in downtown, and decided that professional installation was the way to go, since we were not sure of the best way to mount due to the structure of the building. We purchased a mount for our 55' tv and HDInstalls did the rest! My only concern is that they were late (outside the window they gave us), and we had to adjust our plans for the day. Stefan was very responsive through yelp. I got a prompt and fair quote. He was knowledgeable about my television as well as my Sonos soundbar which is difficult to mount. I wanted a fully articulating TV mount with the soundbar mounted below it. Stefan was very friendly and walked me through this process so I would have the right equipment on the day of the installation. He showed up at the scheduled time slot with an assistant. They were courteous and careful in moving and mounting my new which is much appreciated! There was some troubleshooting in the beginning of the project. This is about the third or fourth time I have used them to mount TVs on the wall or stands and to shuffle the older TVs off the existing stands, put in another room, and so on. But when he did, he was very professional and thorough. Two things really impressed me: First, he was gracious about taking the plates back off the wall when I changed my mind about where I wanted a component installed, even though it slowed him down. Second, when he made a mistake by not reading the instructions that came with my IKEA mount, he took the TV back down and made a serious effort at correcting the issue, even though it ultimately wasn't possible to fix.
