If you have a Samsung FrameTV or another TV with a similar installation process and want to install it FLUSH with a recessed wall and box, you need to hire Lance to do the job. I found TV Install Chicago through several recommendations from South Loop Facebook page and went through the yelp reviews. Super glad I went with Lance instead of taskrabitt. I choose to have a professional and more experienced mounter and installer than random person who mounts for slightly more. He was quick to respond, flexible, total pro (didn't need directions on mounting the Samsung Frame), and did excellent work. He came on time, polite, and offered suggestions (which I should of listened, sorry Lance you were right!). During installation, I had a 12x12 hidden metal box in wall for outlets and boxes and he suggested to open it up and make it bigger or he can put a larger box so it can fit the Samsung Frame Receiver. I thought it would be a hassle and honestly was avoiding the extra cost. He mounted the TV quickly and we initially put Receiver on the mantle per my directions. I thought it looked great, but my wife was like that looks off with black box sitting there and should be hidden and the TV might need to be moved up a little. I had to contact Lance again, and he nicely came back to fix my bad decision and do his original proposal, he opened the wall more and put a larger box and had to re-wire outlets and wires (a regular taskrabitt wouldn't know how to do all this or have supplies). He even offered to move and remount the TV for free, however, we all decided it was actually in perfect position with black box moved and with addition of sound bar. This is another one of those projects I've been waiting to get around to, I moved a TV from one spot in my family room to another wall, but I waited and kept it on a stand because I wasn't ready to commit to hang the thing up. I also spoke to a few contractors that said they could do it, but when I wanted to get it done, the timing never worked out. I came about the reviews of TV Install Chicago and looked over the photos and things seemed worth a phone call. As luck would have it they had a window of time today because of another appointment in the area. My install was a little more work, my wall is brick, it is also real brick that was an outside wall when my place was built, the family room is an addition that backs up to my kitchen, my stove is opposite the TV wall, there you'll find some space and electrical, but you still have to get behind that brick wall to get to power and hide the wires. We needed a much larger than normal drill bit to do the job, which he didn't have. However, he and his assistant Jeff went to Home Depot to get it and come back today to get it done right. It looks really right proper, both Lance and Jeff were friendly to talk to but did keep the project moving. Highly recommend. read more

We are extremely pleased with the service. Here's what happened, we bought a 75" for our basement, and went with Best Buy's Total Tech Support/Geek Squad because it seemed like a great one-stop-shop solution. They were supposed to mount a 50" and 55" we already owned in addition to the 75. Long story short, they canceled appointments, never delivered the 75, and then sent a number of techs out to install the 55" over our fireplace, which they ultimately said they couldn't do because they need a special drill bit and we'd need to have somebody who was a tile expert to drill holes first before they could come back out and yadaydayda....a pain! We canceled the entire Best Buy order and bought the 75 for cheaper on Amazon. I hopped on Yelp, came across this business, and called Lance for a quote. He answered immediately, gave me a great quote for the mounting services, and was out the next day to do the install. He said he'd be here at 3, arrived at 2:45pm ready to go! Whereas the Best Buy folks said they couldn't mount the tv after 3 weeks of back and forth.....Lance had it up in under 30 minutes! While he was working upstairs, Jeff was mounting the 75in in the basement. Both of these gentlemen are extremely pleasant and personable without sacrificing professionalism. After contacting him he visited my home for an estimate and gave me a flat rate per television as well as the rate for installing wiring that would run to my home theater system. We scheduled a date for the installation and he promptly arrived with all the equipment needed. Lance installed my 46" Samsung flat screen above my fireplace about a year ago now and I've been getting compliments on his work ever since! I found that he was reasonably priced, easy to communicate with, and polite of my space. He cleaned up afterwards and took his shoes off when he arrived. I am shocked. They just left and did not complete the appointment blaming me for asking them to wear masks. Background: I worked with the team for a TV installation. They suggested that a different TV would be better for my purposes and they would help install it. I bought the new TV for four times the price of the first one. When they came to install the new one, the TV did not arrive yet, despite assurances in my customer emails it would be there. The team reacted very nicely. "It is not your fault." "We understand." The team was very nice on that day on Friday, uninstalled the old TV so that I could return in time. We set up a new time for Monday 12.30pm. The time 12.30pm was confirmed the day before. They called me around noon and said they are already here. I was not ready yet, because I had to submit something for a professional deadline. I checked if they could come around 12.10pm. When they arrived I checked if they can wear masks, they refused and said they go. They had enough of me, how I pushed them around. Suddenly I was confronted with several complaints: 1) Noise in the apartment the first time (I had a day off so several people helped with the apartment that day, including someone working on the stairs). This issue appeared at the first meeting and didn't seem an issue when the returned on Friday. 2) That I didn't tell them about the TV not having arrived yet. I did not know and I still needed them to help unmount the TV to meet the return window. Why would they say "not your fault" "we understand" and then being resentful? 3) They confirm the time for 12.30p and then seem pissed off that I ask for waiting 6 minutes, because I was working on a professional deadline and thought they would come 12.30pm. 4) They take it personal when I ask them for masks. All these reactions seem not professional. I do not remember that I have "pushed them around." Instead, I chatted with them, asked if I can offer anything etc. The reaction was like a switch from day to night - Friday all was ok. Monday they were pissed off about the timing, the masks, whatever. That was a shock. I never worked with someone that refused to wear masks and took this as an occasion to go and leave the scheduled job. This is also contrary to how the enterprise is advertised ("Mask worn upon customer request "). I was in the Middle East and contracted major health issues close to death. Everyone I work with in my apartment wears masks for protection - this is also what Jeff did the first time. The result: 1) holes in the wall, 2) TV uninstalled, 3) and a feeling of shock how people can change from one meeting to the next so drastically and react so rude. I cannot recommend. read more

Admittedly, I was willing to ignore his inappropriate question about my relationship status 5 minutes into the appointment and distasteful porn joke after an error message popped up on my television. However, my tolerance reached its limit when I noticed Lance emailed me a poem....possibly about suicide, the day after the appointment. To say it's completely unprofessional and inappropriate is an understatement. I have attached a sceeenshot of the emailed poem for your review. I am willing to bet I am not the first person who has experienced this kind of behavior from Lance. I want to offer an honest heads-up to others, especially women, looking to have a television mounted.
